question for sam the skunkman on the original haze

So Sam reckoned that the haze he preserved was unstable - referring more to the wide spectrum of phenotypes - than the low ratio of sublime keepers. Presumably this is where the Dutch made their name in the haze history/mystery, crossing the Haze to various indicas to stabilise it.

That's because I know the line better than any of them, and I know the uptown frankies too... Now go and find just one of them that know both, and ask that person if they are even in the same ballpark, answer,, hell no. They are just searching for a description to a very complex terpene profile and regurgitating what they've read online. If you grew out a hundred, you'd agree. But I'll be quite about it, let's not let the truth get in the way of your research...

Surprised too see how quick i got a response .But if you have Followed my research you'll recall that my research isnt about Frank ive reported Sandlewood in the Santa Cruz haze not Frankies

Its great too see you have experienced Frankies ,im intrigued to know more about your experience as id imagine what youve smoked is this Black cut .

What was surprising an very interesting to me in the past is you Nor any others had Reported colombian traits such as spicy or sandlewood in the line but in recent grows it seems to not be a rare find

I don't follow your research bigherb but I have smoked the uptown and is is all teak leathery sandalwood incense like the typical Dutch Haze prevalent there in the 90's, perhaps a bit watered down even. I have also smoked the Black, which is even moreso imo.

As to the line I grow, I'm fucking sitting here telling you that the above is not there, and you're sitting there telling me that is, lol. I wish I could say I was surprised but I've unfortunately come to expect it from you.

The reason it pisses me off is because your running around telling folks shit about the Haze line I've grown for over 15 years, and offer, shit that simply isn't true, no matter wtf your "research" has turned up. I don't want folk to come looking for sandalwood etc in the Haze I offer because of your babble, which is, without question, patently false!

Your a joke , its amazing how my passion caused you to dislike me,it would have been nice if we started on another foot

if you havnt followed my research you shouldnt speak on it.

I find it hard to believe a cali cat such as yourself being familiar with the uptowns let alone frankies . I also lol at your character soo im glad you got a laugh aswell .

I have only quoted the several reports which fellow ic members spoke about incense sandalwood spice .its interesting you would deny this or not believe these folk .than have the nerve to make it like im the one who is reporting this experience .im only sharing others experience 2 of which I believe you respect money mike and hazy lady

I have grown your line but it wasnt to full potential
,in the future I will run it again an give a report

every hybrid gives 3 different PHENO'S; could it be possible that each of you have a pheno of the original hybrid showing different traits? didnt want to get chewed and spit out but this may be a distinct possibility. OR one of you may have a "throwback" that occurs in any hybrid right back to a P1. i've seen blueberry sativa do this after 20 generations suddenly you get a very different pheno that resembles thai "stick" genetics.

there were 4 haze brothers and a sister in the clan, one of the brothers died in nam. when they came back they earned enough money to get free title to the home-stead. both jack and dave have passed on now and billy never got involved.

remember this was highly ILLEGAL back in those days, maybe billy and emily will write an autobiography of 1965 - ? but i doubt it as then the home-stead would be in jeprousy; right? i rode "shotgun" for the boys back in '70 and met the aussie;shoenmaker. a lot of water over the bridge since then.

just say "the cannabis castle" was the starting point with 2 hybrids of the haze - stable. it then moved on to sensi and greenhouseseeds. after that countless names and hybrids arose from other banks starting out. SSH and NH are the main 2 hybrids that i know of. jack herer may be the missing "B" strain through sam the skunkman but lips are sealed as LEO has a long memory

Sam from one Santa Cruzan to another (?) Respect your work sir, after reading the Haze history thread going to tpick up some of your beans, which haze is closest to the "old school" haze mentioned in the above mentioned thread.

Massive respect here for your work! Positive vibes from the SLV!

Dude what I'd like to see is some proof you've ever grown a cannabis plant lol

The main thing I have difficulty comprehending is how in 2008 (yes some of us remember that far back) you knew literally nothing about haze other than you really enjoyed some 'piff' you bought in NY and you wondered if you could find a seedline that'd be similar and now you've somehow managed to set yourself up as the online keeper of the haze lore cos you've got a poster lol

Anyway, I admire your enthusiasm for the plant mate but would admire you more if you were honest and admit you are, like the rest of us, learning from the masters. Making out you are a master is disingenuous to say the least.

I was a bit surprised when i first saw this thread but didn't feel compelled to post but since you've been getting all pissy with people who quite rightly question your omniscience I feel it's about time someone said something. Research means nothing without rigor and practical knowledge will almost always trump research based knowledge.

Oh and for the record I'm pretty sure Tom don't like me one bit (for the same reason he don't like you ironically) but that's by the by, I still recognise he knows a lot more about haze and cannabis in general than i do or ever will most likely.

All the best for the new year buddy

thats how one becomes a LOREMASTER; by growing, re-inventing the creations of the originals, by research, by talking too the old boys/girls, and by cruising the forums. i used to say i knew 4,000 hybrid and LBO's in the late 1990's and now i lost count. people give new names to old strains; like you know? a least 20 names for the hashplant by region and another 50 by wannabie/breeders.

unfortunately what we grew on the west coast of bc/washington was the same as east coast/nyc and the deep south of usa! then there was norcal and solcal. and not to mention australia, netherlands, spain, UK, and other spots that all started with the hindu KUSH for example and now theres how many? why dont you guys learn to disagree/agree and move on instead of attacking one another. i know book authors who never grew a plant and seed bank owners that started out as hydroponic store owners and now call themselves breeders by marketing other peeps seeds.

do you know where the purple ergul originated? whats angel dust or bambata? a new one white castle? instead of locking horns, listen to the masters and read between the lines.

I dont wish to carry one but i will say a few words

You have shown your character ,your on my friend list i never requested it .You talk about my growing which is irrevelant to this topic

Your not the only one with trouble comprehending ,ill put you in the hempy bucket list .

Ive told you this is the story i was told an i wanted to share with the community if it means anything to you Sams has commented on my article an said it was nice to read mostly True facts for a change.

Im no Keeper nor expert of any kind ,i exspected heat from my article its cool but keep it about the article an not personal .I find it Sad an lame that you Tom an others are bothered possibly jealous In part of my passion an persistancy to seek Knowledge .well im glad an proud of the path i have taken ,its brought me to places ive never imagined

Now as for my poster ,This non cannabis grower has told you an several others to look at the poster an check out the 3 varities of haze on it .I have shared this as a thought it might help varify that i was told the story by someone in the cruz an gifted this poster because of my passion

You have spoke your mind dont try an end your negativity with some sugar on top .Please stay out of the thread if you dont have anything positive to add

You beef with Tom im sure is notthe same as mine as we are nothing alike you and I .I await a response to my last post ,id love to hear his thoughts on his 15 year experience versus the 5 or soo recent reports of spice and incense which Tom seems to be denying

Bigherb it's funny. You wrote an autobiography where you openly state your personal history with Haze and even Sam agrees with everything in your article but some minor points, yet you still get accused of being a front. :D
