ya thanks, i was hoping someone who knew would pipe up. but the statement he made is not really valid is it? i mean every time anyone thinks someone else is incorrect, it seems irrelevant for the one being questioned to say because they believe themselves to be right, you are automatically in the wrong to question them.. . you see what i mean, its not quite right somehow. just the last part he adds, "even when i'm not wrong", it doesnt logically fit in with the rest of the statement.

if the statement that i find obscure is simplified, its like this:

You correct me even when I'm not wrong.

if one reads that, it does look rather odd. its pretty clear that there is something wack there :)

Its a double negative, bad grammar on my part, I should have said you try to correct me when I'm right. I am not trying to attack you and I think that you offer a lot of good info on these forums. I even hit you up about a piece a few posts back somewhere. Maybe it is nothing and I just read it wrong, but again this is why I asked the question in the first place. Which you still have not answered outright.
If you don't like me then whatever oh well, if you do awesome, If you don't care either way, neither do I.
I'll just let it go to stay on topic.

I think i understand what you are trying to say.
That is, the fact that you "correct" or give an "opinion" does not necessarily mean you take issue or are in the wrong with the poster.
I would agree with that line of reasoning.
But that is not what he said.
He said "I almost think" which is not as strong.

In first order logic we only deal with statements of the first kind.
Like "the sky is blue". It is either true or false.
Statements like "the sky is probably blue" cannot be used in logical argument because they can't really be assigned a truth value(i.e true or false).
Of course this demonstrates the deficiency/limitations in first order logic in relation to human reasoning because in life we do reason through the use of things like probability. But for the whole of mathematics, it is enough.
There are other forms of logic, like modal logic that deal with these things but I'm not familiar with them.
I think the the barrier of the internet causes a lot of confusion because things like the tone of our posts are harder to discern.
At any rate i think you two would most likely have a real blast if you met.lol(no homo meant)
I hope that helps somewhat.

HMK,
I'd like to apologize to you for the "arrogant" remark. Upon further reflection, I regret it. I really don't like the bickering so it's back to lurking for me. I don't know you and shouldn't have said that.
I was going to send you a pm, but I don't have that privilege yet.lol
Pardon me for sidetracking the thread again everyone.
Back to some oil!!!!

i like to load at least 1/2 full. easier to pull vapors. that is about 1/4 to 1/3 inch from the vent holes.

i prefer titanium rods. quartz next then pyrex. order of cost as well.

Always so helpful thank you ES,
Those rods you and GW use sound like the shit. I'll just get a glass one till I find or make something better.

so welcome. do spin the glass rod while heating. and if you heat into the rod handle a few inches every 10th use, you re temper the glass, aiding in longevity. enjoy!

hey everybody, im a low scale oil head, but definitely an oil head!!! Heres my few little oil rigs, both bubblers blown by a local artist, JT Inwood. I also have a Phire 18mm oil dome with titanium nail. Just picked up my first real dabber as well, been using a dental pick since the start! Got myself an electroformed dabber by Snic!

Check for Sasha Hess work on his site! I don't see him mentioned earlier, tough he is a cool glassblower!
In the middle a Hops micro jagito...he seem to be the inventor of the inline, so i got one to give credit to him!
I hope to get also a bubbler from ETR glass...

i made those curves for sasha's inlines.

True...but everyone now can distinguish your curves from a mile, so i didn't mentioned...
In the picture the 4 colored curves were purchased on Aqualab, the one you made for Sasha was the all-clear one on the bubbler.
I really loved those colabs...a pity there won't be no more...
Any word about Ti-wires?

Whats the deal on the cartridges'? I would already have one, but can't find the cartridges anywhere. Do the omicron cartridges work with it?

Sorry I've read that don't remember where, and i didn't see HMK-Hess colabs from a long time, so i thought they were over.
Great suggestion for the glass handling i'll try and show what comes out.

Thank you! Right now i'm tryind to find what's the dark coating, anodized maybe?...i'll see what happens if i grind to reveal Ti underneat. It must be said that even without removing this coating the wires dont lose it on the pad. Even if i scratch them on steel they wont lose their coating...
i had them from a friend
