maxibloom is great, i started using it after using supernatural brand from canada, and noticed that the GH powder line is cheaper and very similar to supernat, but maxibloom has lots of cal&mag, which rules,
one thing i am a lil bit skeptical about is that maxi has heavy metal content, like cadmium, mercury, maybe a lil aresenic, cant quite remembr but i did check it b4 using it and found it was higher in heavy metals than most nutes id used in the past (except cash crops sumo additive OUCH!)
maxi plus floralicious plus works 4me, and some monster bloom in weeks 1&4&5, and plenty ofmolasses and carbo load

There's a real interesting thing right above all the posts on each page in the forums. it's an option called 'search this thread'. It's actually quite useful. You could find every post including the subject you're curious about in an instant. I use it all the time.. maybe you just din't notice it..

Thanks man. I got it. I've searched, and I've read the whole thread now, and guess what I still didn’t memorize every single fact. I find the answers my self now and if I can't find them I figure them out on my own because this isn't the friendliest message board I've ever been on. You bringing this post up 4 pages later just to tell me what 4 other people already said was really necessary right? If you want to be a dick go find somewhere else because I'm not the only one that doesn't want to deal with the shitty attitude for no reason. I don't know if its ego trips or what but you guys need to relax and smoke one I've never met a stoner so uptight and combative over a simple question. I use the kiss method now with calmag and silica added, its working great and I was going to do a grow diary for people to learn from but with the attitude I continue to get from members on this board I'll take my grow journal to my Michigan specific medical board and let them learn from my mistakes and experiences. Thanks again for so much help.

Dude. Read what you posted. Everybody was new once, and we all got the speech about learning to read and or search. (Well, I didn't. But I spent 3 months reading threads and searching and taking notes and I only created an account after 3 months of intensive study.)
I have no beef with you. I'm just telling it like I see it. But reading your post, I have to wonder if maybe you're getting a bad vibe from people here because you are GIVING OFF a bad vibe yourself.
When you ask questions in a thread that are easily answered by READING the thread, many of us here get a little annoyed about it. You won't learn anything if we just answer your questions. You'll be right back asking easily-searched questions the next time.
This is the best forums that I've found for learning how to grow quality cannabis. But if you think our members are pissy, I recommend you try one of the other ones. If you're anything like me, you'll find out that the other forums are full of total newbs and total fucktards who talk shit about concepts that they couldn't be bothered to learn. People who go out of their way to be assholes around here get banned pretty quick.
Good luck with your grow. I've been a member here for almost 3 years and I *STILL* use the search feature to learn about new stuff almost every day. And I make a habit of reading influential threads (like this one) from start to finish. Even if it takes a couple days to do so. It's well worth your effort!
Sounds like sour grapes homes, maybe try to remember those who HAVE helped you rather than wasting energy resenting those you feel have not.
...and your creating a grow-log would finally give YOU a forum to share YOUR work, with US, ...you might be surprised to learn that some of us actually wish you well, ...even when trying to teach the fundamental lesson that hunting for answers is way faster and more fruitful than waiting for them.
...you would also provide a place for folks to get to know you as well as providing you with an appropriate forum for your questions.
...either way WE will continue to struggle on, growing killer ganja and helping those noobs willing to also help themselves.

The only reason I have an attitude with some people in this thread is becasue how they respond, its pure negative from the get go and thats not what its about. Were supposed to be a different breed, we understand eachother and we all know the look when you see someone in public when you both know whats going on, its brotherhood in my opinion. I would do anything for my friends around me that grow and I know the ones I trust would do the same, we have to have eachothers backs and we help eachother with questions, trimming, general help in the room, and security. I apologize for the bad vibes I gave off I admit I jumped the gun a bit. I did read the thread, and I did see that people were mentioning molases and additives such as koolbloom, I was just wondering portions that were found to be premium and I realize everyone will be different. It was a dumb question but I am new to KISS and I am new to coco hempys (I know different thread).

I don't want any hard feelings twords anyone I apprecaite the help I have gotten since joining this board, it has literally changed my grow from lucas in bubble buckets to kiss in coco hempys and I'm loving it so far.
Again no hard feelings anyone, the kiss method is so easy I love it. I've got seedlings that are 19 days old now getting a full feed of kiss with 3ml silica and 3ml calmag to 20% run off and they are starting to stack nodes on top of nodes and I'm getting excited to transplant them to veg

Growing this shit is pretty easy actually...light, water and food. Get that right and your growing.

I had the same situation, so I using both to kinda test what one works best for my environment. So far heath wise they look to be neck and neck.
Should I add my maxibloom is at least 3 years old. Hard as a rock. lol I have to scape of enough to get my 7gm per gallon.
After I use up my water based GH, I am gonna go with the maxibloom. and koolbloom powder.
This method is the way to go, if simplicity, cost, and effectiveness is your goal.

My goal is 'the best pot I can grow'.. If I had to add 50 supplements and use a 10 part base, if it grew the 'best pot I can grow' I'd be doin it. It's all about the lettuce for me..

I decided to grab some Protekt yesterday when I was at my local hydro store buying more MB. This is my first time using silica like this and a couple questions for those that use it.
Will .5 tsp/g be enough or do I need to go 1 tsp/g? I've read reports of both.
Also, do you keep adding it all through flower, all the way up to flush? Some reports say to only use it in veg.

Great thread here guys, thanks for all the great information. Took couple hours, but made it through every page.
I have been running the 7g/gal in my soils for about a month now and they all look pretty good except a couple of minor issues.
Im a hydro guy by nature and have used flora series for 10+ years, but have recently had less time to deal with my grow so have made the transition to soils. I use Roots Organic, regular mix not 707. I grow in the small root builder pots, to 3 gallon root builders, to 5 gallon then bloom in a 10 gallon pot.
Most of the strains seem to like it a lot except the Maui. It gets what looks like rusting on the tops of leaves, then it morphs into a massive def. leaf. Looking like a calmag issue to me. Im phing the maxibloom to 6.4 before using, and about 1250-1300 ppm with tap water being around 80ppm and 7.2 ph
That being said, I have been watering in nutrients and fresh water, on a alternating schedule. Feed - water - feed - water, so on so forth. I was not PHing the fresh water at all so it was going into the pots at 7.2
I ran some nutrient through last night with about 15% run off, gathered and metered it at 5.0 EC(like 4000ppm?) and 4.9 PH.
It seems very outa whack to me, but the plants are very healthy.... Im lookin for some help regarding my watering method.
What does the runoff really tell you about the soil? anything useful? A buddy reccomended i run fresh with some flora kleen to runoff a bunch of built up salts cause MB can be salty. Then flush that with ph 6.5 tap water, then back to nutrient-water-nutrient schedule. Any thoughts? I can post some pics if need be. Thanks for any help in advance fellas.

Well, we do share that goal of the arm and the leg. And, if you'd read my statement as intended, I'm not saying that I DO all the extra crap (however there are a couple I'm fond of). I'm fully intending on trying this method, but I will try it next to the slightly modified Lucas Formula that I'm getting great results with. And, actually, the hydro store guys don't like me because I don't ask them for advice. BTW, I do have a lot of fun with my hippie lettuce..
