:D i been harvesting some big bushes from my indoor :D i got some serious dense nugs now when the temps have gone down to something more normal. its still 30º in the flowering area, but we are having 40ºC outside most days still...

its been a hot darn autumn.,.

hehe almoist a month without updating ....

well anyway - i finally got 2 moms of the ssh/ptk x beeniemans that i think are cool.. one is a really big budded fat indica type pheno, and the other one is the straigth oposite to it, a big huge plant. both have similar aroma and resin coverage and i havent yet decided if i will keep both or not.

im still looking for even more killer moms out of that lot. also on the side i got as allways some more crosses going on. currently for example im growing some pp/sshlp i made a few years back.

the last month i have harvested quite a few plants, and now im stocked up for a long time forward. it has really been nice, all plants harvested have been vegging over the hot summer but have performed great anyway. really huge plants with some over 6 months in veg. many as tall as i am.

the tricky part has been in getting the huge plants into the flowering area where the head heigth is not more than 1,5 m... so i went and transplanted the plants into huge pots, lying on the side. like this the plants have grown horizontally and filled up the flowering rooms perfectlly. i have had to use some wire and weigths and even stakes to keep the plants in their place.

im happy the temps are finally perfect, since outside it hardly gets over 25ºc, indoors its almost the same. there is even purps in some kolas of 2 plants of ssh/ptk x beeniemans that i will harvest soon.

:) everything good

peace!

here is some pics..

as u can see this plant got a bit attacked by spidermites.. guess its time to spray down the grow with poison again..

yea a little ravaged on the mites. At least you admit it.
all good. live and learn.

from about week 4 in flowering.

yeah it sucks with mites, but i hate to use too much poisons..

Those are some great looking nugs! This cross is just straight up impressive. I like that your seeing good heat resistance...must be results of good selections.

That's a wild idea, the one to put the big plants on their sides. How do you manage to water them? Keep it killer as always, bonecarver! Peace!

ill take a pic tomorow to illustrate it. nothing complicated really - i when i transplant the big plant, i just put the rootball leaning more or less 45º into the final pot. the final pot is very big. some of the old rootball will stick up above the coco level, but it doesnt seem to do much more than stimulate the roots to grow on the oposite side of the rootball.

watering is as normal, besides i make sure to try to be carefull with the part of the rootball sticking out of the pot, not to wash away the coco too fast. in a few weeks the roots that are above earth will become hard and "woody" and new roots will grow out below the surface of the coco.

like this is possible to grow and flower really big indoor plants.

i still do lollipop the plants to get rid of smaller nugs that im not interested in. just to save myself un-necesary trimming hours... i hate popcorn nugs :D :D

peace

I see what you mean now. It's a good idea...and easier than trying to wrestle all the branches down where you need them. But I'd still love to see pics..:) Thanks dude!
