More F13 format Tweedy

Now at day 44...smells musky/earthy/musty...totally a "greenie" Flo expression. There are no flaws on her...no weirdness...a well put together plant...doing a good representation of the green side of the Blues. I've found (thru Flo) that the green versions are often the better growers.

I had a green pheno Original Flo (Dutch Passion) years ago...but selected away from her by keeping a mutant Purple stem version (which I used to mother many crosses)...the green was a way better grower....and her smoke was very good...also different from the Purple version. She did not produce the resin like the mutant Purple however. My green version had a more rounded flower structure...still stacked turrets...but didn't foxtail as much as either the Purple version or this Tweedy F13 version I'm showing

***I'm going to start flushing this specimen in the next few days

...actually this plant is perhaps the most "standard" representation of either line that was used (Mango Haze or F13)...the "other" sisters look more hybrid...with one of them being pretty strange (the plant I speak of....will likely be the lightest yielder of the batch...and has strange flower structure)....and the other kind of a more Hazy plant...or so it seems at day 44.

pulled a bunch of the OG Jam seed out of the fridge, and there floatin in water for the night. gonna try and get through 40 or so, see if i cant find some good ones for another gen. also hit up the first gen gal i keep. i like goin back to plants from earlier gens seems quicker for the traits im lookin for.

Check it out P, this is the CJ F3 I have going. She's way to floppy to pull out for a photo sesh, so I used a lighter to get enough ambient light to take these pics after the lamps went off. I dusted her and the ChemDD with pollen from the Dcong males.

Beautiful man....I don't hear too many bitch about Casey Jones...it is very possible to find non floppy phenos...but...there are for sure some floppers in there. Loving the colors. That will be some pretty decent smoke...and..I'm interested in the offspring. I can't see the D'Cong hurting that at all....probably prop up some of the flop.

I'm glad I have cool peeps rolling through here...happy to see all the stuff you dudes work with. Gives me motivation to keep on keeping on....makes me appreciate the plants even more.

From this morning

From this morning

I chatted with Lean Green over the weekend...was looking at a Highend cross he made. I had had Highend on my mind again anyway..but after seeing LG's cross...and needing something to grow (been guessing at what I wanted to germ for a few days)...I decided to run all the I-HOP Highend beans I possessed. Didn't make many.

I-HOP Highend= Strawberry Dog F2 X Highend F2

Strawberry Dog AKA SCreme 'n Dawg was (and is again++++) made by ClearBarbedFunk...so cool to see him back at it. Everyone knows that this cross is rock 'n roll....if you get a chance at his beans...jump it.

The Highend F2 beans were a mix of Highlighter and Lean Green beans...as it turned out...the females were HL's and the males LG's....sooooo...the Highend male(s) used to make I-HOP Highend are actually from LG. Clear as mud?

The reason I make this point...is because I thought it funny both LG and CBF were posting on the same page. This cross I'm running is made from stuff in their gardens.

Here they come: I-HOP Highend

A typical Blind Willy Chemical Haze....I have a nice batch to look at...this run is for females only. Fun Run

DTC99 F4...day 63...sativa blessings...nothing wrong with this expression at all...absolutely easy to ride...no problems. Flushing her to death.

Learned a few things about the DTCs from her...cultivation wise....I'm staying on the N a bit longer with the ones I'm flowering up now. They all drop lower leaves at serious bud set...they eat'em from the bottom up. I have some real blasters coming up...the ones I crossed to Odessa are killing it nicely. Very happy with what's on the horizon.

mine would always shed like a hairy dog as soon as they started setting bud no matter what i did,in the end i just let them do it and tried to keep up with the leaf drop, never really seemed to slow them down at all,but yours is looking even more thai leaning than mine..

I have some variation in the next 2...though one of them I believe will turn out looking like this one I'm showing.

Yeah...they drop leaves as a ritual. I'm cramming food into them...but...doesn't stop them from doing it...and nope...it doesn't slow them down.

This run of F4 beans came from a Thai leaning mom...I have some other F4 beans from a different expression that I plan on running parallel to the DTC99 X Odessa cross...and reconnect the genetics that way. That's a ways down the line...but how I see it intersecting.

I have a great feeling that the DTC99 X Odessa is going to be sickness. There is no way it will not be. I've been daydreaming about this cross for a while now...seeing the beans being made on killer females....exciting. I'll dive deep in those.

Correct sir....Lean has some good shit. I'm wanting in on anything Deep Congo....I can not believe I have not had my flower studio full of DC.

I'm honestly more in the mind now to run some of the outcrosses I see my friends making with it. I predict...before the end of spring...I'll be running some of those. Just gots me some Deep Congo X Skunk...but I was hoping to have some others to blend with...parallel runs. So I wait and watch. wait and watch

I'll keep that in mind. Deep Congo has amazing potential. I'm spoiled and got F2's! I want tall, stretchy broad leafs from her, with fatty colas. Since you folks are sprouting Highend again, I'll join 1st of the year with the HE mother #3 and #5 seed batches I've been holding. Love the community spirit in your thread, sir! :respect:

Got some pics in my album of a g13/burmese x blockhead that was Lean bean. ;)

Halo Training....

Halo Training....

This Odessa expression was vegged extended and multi topped...heavily pruned...into a multi headed snake. Large sized tomato cages are a lot of fun. I'm calling the technique of serpentine-winding the branches around the top ring: "Halo Training"....especially with stretchy plants (like this Odessa) it takes effort to keep the flowers from overlapping each other too much....but...if maintained concurrent to stretch it can be very effective.

Basically..the center is left open for as long as possible...everything pulled onto the top ring of the cage and trained there...via ties and branch manipulation. The top flowers are stretched out to catch the best of the light. Certainly important to stay on pace as the plants stretch. Much easier training them as they progress...by the time they are in heavy bud set...I leave them alone.

Keeping up with a hardy Odessa stretch

This is the fattest of the MVTF X GK at day 45....

***Note: she is unstaked/uncaged. Very much a top heavy girl...it is a foolish gamble on my part...to risk her breaking her stalk. So far so good....she started flush 2 days ago....getting more and more musky/grapey/danky....swaying in the breeze...wondering if she can make it without breaking. Fun plant...she is jamming in all cultivation regards.

Retardo Motabon knows what he is doing....I've been digging on this cross....since...I saw some pix in a thread. I don't know the history of the mother plant....but she must be a thumper. Thick ass plant expressions....I don't see any Grape Krush in the structure....very pleased about that. Anyway...all the plants I'm growing from RM are turning out pretty much how I envisioned...top of the line stuff...really good dude as well. Happy and grateful to have his stuff on my pathway.

Tell ya...just started soaking Phillthy's Grom Bx1, which is Grom x (RM's Grom x GK).

Smoking Pre-98 bubba x GK aka BKGK via RM beans as I type. ;)

Grape krush was blah as a strain, but all the hybrids I have run just shine. Guess it's one of those lines...

a more freakish Tweedy IX1 day 47ish

The plant being shown....although I've never grown, smoked, or smelled Mango Haze....is probably a representative of that line. She keeps putting out flower clusters in a cactus button style...pushes the foxtails...aided (perhaps) by P blasting and somewhat deformed by the halo training tactics employed to keep her controlled? Or maybe....that's just the way she is...doesn't matter really I guess...it's the way it is. Kind of says: head stash to me.

(I was blowing out a joint hit on her while I snapped the pix)

Contradicting what I stated before about leaving plants alone after they are in heavy bud set....I must confess that...when plants are trained into position...and further into flower..and if it benefits the plants...I'll release them from some of their bondage.

Such is the case with this girl. I loosened her up (after the pix)....repositioned some of her flowers in order to get light spray at different angles. Basically looking to give her a well rounded ripening phase...as sometimes the halo needs to be adjusted...things are always moving....angles need to change

***Funky plant ...the button clusters are cool...she's sticky and getting smelly.
