I've found another shift in preference for my base medium. The calcined DE (NAPA product) is TOO effective at water retention so the base medium grows slightly more complex as I try and learn new things over time and experiences.
3 gal organic soil
2 gal coir
2 gal peat moss
2 gal calcined DE
1 gal chunky perlite
1 gal EWC
THIS should be a better balance but am also playing with 50/50 to check it as well.

Been looking into and playing around with your suggested banana powder. It's high cost (when of a premium quality) makes it difficult to use as an alternative.
I think the BEST use of this product, in regards to really maximizing it's beneficial properties, is as a food for worm beds, ie making your own EWC. Have you tried using it in this manner?

High cost is right.. it's horrendously expensive, but later this year or early next year I will have a side by side comparison of the banana powder.
I definitely agree with you about it being amazing worm food. I am getting a bin set up outside, and it's definitely one of the things going in there mixed in with fresh top quality rabbit manure, which worms go CRAZY for. I put some bunny dung in my garden bed, and there are 5x as many worms wherever I applied it. It's surprising that it does not need composting to be safe to use!
I am also testing with fermenting the banana powder, and also using it with some Mayan Microzyme (the only product from Humboldt Nutrients that's ever vibed well with me) to see how the microbes utilize it. I do have very high hopes for this powder, but I feel like building a bloody heated greenhouse and buying my own banana trees would be cheaper than buying the powder!
I don't know when I'll be able to PM people, but I'd love to discuss some great ideas with you once I can

That Bocking 14 is awesome, and I'm truly amazed at how fast it grows! I wonder, do you have any tips for wintering it? I've got six of them that I recently thinned out to make fermented plant extracts, but I've never had Comfrey before so I don't know how it'll do during the PNW winter. Do I need to do anything at all, even?
Not exactly side by side comparison, but....

Current grow is 50/50 Coco/FFOF with NSPB FLF added. 6oow Vert lights. Mostly water only, but I have added Budswell and Meta-K 2wice a week after day 30.
I love this stuff.

Here's SFV Sour #4 at 62 days from the last run. 4oo watts and my old nute regimen. This was average size of the biggest nugs on the plant.
Compared to this stressed out run....full organics with 6oo's at 49 days. Same SFV Sour #4. This is also the average size for the big nugs on this plant. Still a good 21 days to go and it looks like its already bigger. Who the fuck said organics can't yeild?
What do yall think?

Marlo, the plants look fantastic...and 3wks ahead of schedule, in sorts. I'm honored and encouraged by the results of growers such as yourself. I always get very nervous at the start, but I can finally breathe easy again knowing the Full Life Formula [organics] has given you results beyond the chemical realm.
It gets even more fun once you grow some garden herbs and veggies using the exact mix! Nature is amazing!
Mugenbao - Bocking 14 won't seed, find a healthy runner and dig it up, bring it inside under "spring" schedule lighting. Naturally it dies end of season...try to keep a mother bed indoors for yearly outdoor transplant of runners. Deep, low fertilized soil is needed. Comfrey is super efficient!

I am running some Deez x (Sour Diesel x SFV Kush). Both phenos are looking good. #1 is a little more lime green, didnt stretch as much but it looking way more sparkly and def has more of the signature diesel smell. #2 is dark green, forming 8-10inch colas and stretched like a motha!
they are in 5gall airpots and absolutely loving it.

Well, to be correct, the product was offered publicly for a brief period of time.
But to answer directly, no. Things are moving full steam ahead however and I can say that the website will be operational and have partial functionality by Jan. 6th and once that is achieved I can apply to advertise on this site, as it must be pre-approved. This is to ensure the safety of the membership here at this site and the use of "external links". But that is where we are in the general process. I'd say we should see things become fully available no later Feb.
I should also say that I have realized if I continue like I am, I will NEVER have a "final" retail version. I say this because the original Full Life Formula contains 16 different amendments...and I have been playing with no less 15 other different additions of which I personally feel 10-12 of these are falling into the essential category for numerous reasons varying from faster compost times, higher nutrient availability, better nutrient retention within the medium, reduction of various other "fertilizer" type amendments in favor of incorporating some green manure type meals, and even additions that have given the plants a high disease resistance.
While that may make you ask, well, what does it do now then...well, still all of those things, but one of the biggest, instantly noticeable advantages to even the 16 mix is higher drought resistance / water retention, much more accurate representation of genetics in regards to terepene profiles and feeding habits, increased yields and higher resin content as a direct result of a healthier ecosystem and increased biodiversity surrounding your root zone. This is not to say you don't see the effects listed previously in the original mix, but there are always ways to increase or enrich the organic growing experience. Mother nature is just full of truly amazing tricks. I should say, it was always the intent to continue adding ingredients to the original 16...it was just that the first 16 had achieved a certain level of completeness and successfully does what it was designed to do.
I always felt the purpose was to attempt to recreate soil in the sense of all the possible ways that soils are created in a natural environment. Animals die and blood and bones decay into the soil...during their life, their feces are spread around...the rocks break into dust and rain brings other minerals, soil microbes and earthworms and all kinds of insects break down and decay fallen leaf matter of various plants...It's all part of the bigger picture. I guess you could look at the next phase as being the inclusion of the fallen leaf matter and a more complex and accurate mineral blend...it was always part of the due course.
However, if I waited until testing was fully done and I felt 200% on having all 24-28 amendments working in perfect harmony with each other, then I'd never get anything to anybody to use. As par for the course, I'd find something else new...start playing around and start making changes again...lol. You see, it is an endless cycle. The best I can do is offer the mix as it stands with 16 various amendments. I will confess to having made some tweaks and improvements from even the first public release though...mainly due to having a much more consistent, higher quality source for several of the ingredients.
I hope this answers any possible questions that could have been asked and gives you a bit of a time line for what to expect in the near future! I appreciate the continued interest.
