Can dogs smell BHO?

I think that without question they can smell BHO, but it doesn't smell like pot, so unless they have been trained to sniff it out, it is unlikely that they would react to it.
Agreed they would need to be trained for it..
Ya i was thinking the same thing but wasnt really sure.I didnt know if it would have a faint hash smell.Thanks for the input.
really depends on which components of "weed smell" the particular dog is keyed into, and which components made it into your bho. nobody who responded here actually knows for sure - that is your answer.

As far as I've heard drug dogs do not smell THC but rather a terpenoid that is contained in cannabis. If it is the case we could maybe found a way to extract it so the final extract cannot be detected by dogs.
There is really not much information about that, and I cannot find any link to back up my supposition. I hope you can dig us the answer !

Dogs have a better sense of smell than i do, and i can smell BHO.
Ya but to tell its contains cannabis,i dont really think it smells of cannabis/hash.But im just a noob.lol

This is super risky im thinking the smell of pot in your bio is the least of your worrys SOLVENT BASED COMPOUND on commercial flights the dogs are very much trained for things like that anyone remember 9/11
Im not really talking about flights at all.
Just driving to other states for the holidays and such.

Smell occurs on the molecular level. There is NO way to hide it. Hence, a dog trained on any particular scent can detect that substance be it covered in plastic, then encased in wax, then suspended in diesel fuel.
How near the dog has to be, who knows, 10 feet?
