Remember what Powell told Bush, "You break it you own it."
bush?!?!?!
WTF are you on about?
presidents have zero control of the departments of government.
their only job is filling a suit remember?
Remember what Powell told Bush, "You break it you own it."
everybody says "raise their taxes!!!"
but you don't want their rates raised.
you want the loopholes closed.
i'd love to see someone list the preferred tax structure here.
no one is ever willing to quantify. until you do it's just bitching.
"RAISE THOSE EVIL RICH PEOPLE'S TAXES" pure mindless sloganism.
Flat-tax disproportionally taxes the bottom. The bottom spends all their money and more of their income would go to taxes. The consumption tax (flat-tax) Steve Forbes endorses would lower his taxes $1.2 billion over 30 years. But at least Forbes has an argument... for himself. You'd be paying far more when compared to income.you want the rich to "pay their fair share" eliminate easily avoidable income tax and replace with a prebated consumption tax.
Hell yeah brother not even close but I think just the beginning here. Honestly I work in a friend's company and have dealt with a guy from Egypt over the last year. He was asking me how people in the US viewed/thought about what was going on during 'their' revolution. I said 'we' think...more power to you and go for it! The dude's name is Salah and he was honestly interested in knowing what people in the US thought about what was going on in Egypt.i really wish people would stop comparing this
to this..
C'mon man. How many people died during something like the Egyptian revolution and how intense was that compared to the recent Occupy Wall Street stuff??? Not taking anything away from the shit going down in the US right now as that would not be fair. IMO the revolution in the US is just getting going.Got any examples dag? Are you considering their comparisons or yours?

can you not see the pictures?
for all his flaws obama is far from a hosni mubarak..
i figured even you would agree the motivations are not the same and the level of violence/full governmental upheaval are unwanted.
i thought you would see if OWS could/would escalate to those levels would be the worst case scenario for not only OWS but our country and possibly the world as a whole...
i guess i was wrong.
you never cease to amaze deeb.
not in a good way.
how many dead in the OWS protests?
how many do you want to see?
you really are a spaz
Again, I asked who's making these comparisons and were there any examples.
do you even read the threads?
your own posts even?!?!?

I'd rather things go to shit and have a chance to re-build than to have things continue as they are right now.
I love this country. And it kills me to see it go down the drain before my very eyes.
That said, it is not time yet. The movement needs more support. It might take a year or ten years, but I believe that something very drastic has to happen to change anything.
People need to realize that things aren't going to get any better under the current system. This isn't your normal recession. Those in power have taken advantage of the situation. They love it. The rich keep getting richer and the rest of us keep getting poorer. No chance of competing with them. No American Dream. No nothing.
Shit, it's exactly what the friggen 2nd amendment is meant for.
