He always referred to most of his family as the "F'ing hypocrites"

The funny part about the property I mentioned above is it divides an even larger property in 2.
I am getting the one in the middle, most of it is high and dry. The other two are mostly wetland.
You need to know most wetland in FL is protected, there is nothing one can do with it.

I am not sure if the old man did that to give me more leverage if I decide to sell it because there is nothing his family can do with the other two parcels without owning the one I got.
Or if he did that just to irritate them since they never forgave him for being heavily involved in "the industry" (so to speak) ;)

After all he made his fortune with what we all on here like. ;)

Well if their land is protected, and yours is high and dry.... i think this may be a sign my friend. You (and the old man) know they won't bother going out to those bug and reptile infested sinkholes :jump: if they can't do anything on/in them. Instead, he's given you complete privacy to go absolutely apeshit!!! :jump::jump::dance013::dance013:

Obviously, to be done with care - but what do i know?. Hell, maybe build a house and have your own private little getaway - you seem to be handy enough as it is on your island ;)

The way I see it - he just put you in front of the rest of his children - and you all know it, deep down.

Quite the story Strainhunter, just read through the whole thread, very touching in all regards. Sorry to hear about your loss, but at least you can know he is no longer suffering.

Yeah well that's what I used to do while I lived in FL.

I think I brought that up somewhere a few pages back.

Most of it for a few years on his land, the rest on mine. But that time is over now that I moved away some time back.
I have acquired a lot of land over the years, much of it in FL and some else where.
But growing outdoors in FL is different nowadays than how it used to be.
People EVERYWHERE whether that be 4wheelers, hunters, poachers, berry pickers name it they are there & everywhere.

Just a few plants, sure.
But going ape shit (like I used to)...I dunno man.

Most Cool

My grandpa had one of those from a different state.

He taught me to grow.

Mine grew about 125 acres per year for Eli Lilly, a legit pharm use until "prohibition", but retained his status as long as he could. He passed at 102 while sitting on the porch pulling on a corn cob pipe and bit of Scotch after working the farm that day.
