hell yeah the 'train wreck' continues....

something is up tho....and i have a theory:

....thom beers (producer of deadliest catch) has a new gold mining program in the works, but he wont elaborate on it.

well im assuming right now that he bought the production rights to this program, and moving them w/ his money to the yukon (klondike).....w/ new/better equipment.....ya dig?

....no one has said that yet, but i'm putting 2 and 2 together.

klondike area has been dug up alot, but im sure w/ their gear they would find some gold there.

....another thought tho.........yukon territory is canadian.......how hard would it be for these ( U.S. clowns) to get all their permits to tear up canada and take canadian gold home to oregon???

i see more drama...lol :tiphat:

i knew that's what was up....said it 8 mnths ago...lol

just watched the latest episode, felt like i was suckered punched
that's how shit happens
for those that didn't watch it, the guy that the owner brought in last year to 'watch things', watched things pretty good
bought out the claim, and kicked out our heroes, that dude could find a chunk of lead for his trouble

Got a line on 80 acres in Cali I'm trying to put together. $50k down and $150k total with a 3 year option. After my buddy found 2 oz in a few hours with a detector he's confident enough gold to pay for the land and then some. 2 active claims on the river on both ends of the property doing very well. The land itself has had some hydraulic mining but not much. Surface gold all over the place. Then there's the ability to garden :)

He's A claim jumper.....lol
If I was in their situation, Right when I found out he is now the rightful claim owner, I would have went right to the BIG Excavator, and filled in tha Glory Hole, and would have not sold the equipment so he couldn't dig it out. just my :2cents:

i think the only change i would make to that would be Dakota Fred being at the bottom of the glory hole before i filled it

i tried panning for gold once . way tooo much work.
It's hard work and if you go in with the mentality like going into a casino and expecting to walk out rich you're setting yourself up for a big disappointment. A lot of money in the gold rush was made selling picks and shovels and not from finding the gold itself.

Fred was only able to buy the lease because they were late on a monthly payment.

Fred was only able to buy the lease because they were late on a monthly payment.

i saw that mentioned, could be
i got a feeling the lease was maybe a bit sketchy
the neighboring miner said he didn't trust the claim owner
if your a greenhorn miner, you probably aren't going to get the best deals, crummy claims or sly claim owners
i wonder if this was the first time the claim owner had pulled crap like this

That Preston kid is great!! He is going to make this season! He told that Fred guy hes a jerk and he didnt even realize the kid was rippin on him!! hehe He looks just like his grandad! The Hoffmans are losing my interest, they need to get with it!!

I dont know to me the Hoffmans are the show and the gold is just the stories Mcguffin. The real story to me is the psychological case study of their crew and the effects of adversity and utter incompetence on group morale.

I want to like the Preston kid but he needs to be outwardly more respectful to is Grandpa, 91 and still the fucking man...

Dakota Fred may be a scumbag but at least he knows what he's doing, something the Hoffmans clearly dont. You dont make a payment on a claim that has a history of paying off to chase another dream in the Klondike? And how with your tiny ass crew were you going to work both claims?

I'll say this though this is about as entertaining as reality tv gets...
