looking good cuzo real good i cant wait till my SC strain gets up and going like yours i just took some pic tonight of the AK and White Widow and Bubba all done and let me tell you they came out great this AK is fucking great and my sour D is almost done and its really starting to look pretty good ,Also im in the middle of changing my room around cause my flow and grow should be here any day cant wait but keep up the good job i know you will and hit me up i could use your help setting up my flow and grow

FLOWER NUTRIENTS: im using GH flora micro, bloom for flower with floranector and liquid kool bloom from weeks 4-6 of flower with a 2 week flush first week run florakleen with tap then just tap for a week. im kinda using the lucas formula/gh feeding regimen and tweak to my likings or i should say there likings lol.

Could you explain more about your feeding? Are you giving the plants a 2 week flush in the beginning of flower, then 2 weeks of just micro+bloom, then the rest of flower they get micro, bloom, floranectar, koolbloom?
Hpw often do you change your res?

whats up guys sorry i havent updated this thread for a while but to sum up the last grow i had got a bad case of root rot so i ended up harvesting a bit early and didnt get near my intended yield i got about 1 3/4 off of those 12 so i have another going in the system and added 6 more pots to my system. im only running nine that are 4 1/2 weeks into flower and i just put 9 more in 1/2 a week ago so i will be harvesting monthly now, the system needed some changes including removing the control and res to the bathroom where it stays very cool and no light also i dropped the controller down 2" below the pots to allow for full drainage (this has helped a shit ton) also i replaced 4 400's with 2 1000w lights in magnum reflectors and it has seemed to make a big difference. like i said these are only 4 1/2 weeks in and they are smaller than the last run and look to be more already.

here are some group shots

DG,
First off my friend you are a rock n' roll pimp....haha. Great set up partner.

Now to the questions:
1) Could you explain more about your feeding?

2) Are you giving the plants a 2 week flush in the beginning of flower, then 2 weeks of just micro+bloom, then the rest of flower they get micro, bloom, flora nectar, koolbloom?

3) How often do you change your res?

4) I would like a clarification on your reservoir management style. Are you adding back into the res during the week to maintain a certain liquid level. And if so then is it plain ph'd water or a lighter strength nutrient solution?

5) I see in your more recent pics you added a younger set of plants to the same flowering run as the older set. Are you maintaining a constant ppm through all stages of flowering? You aren't going to flush the larger girls prior to harvest?

6) Did you ever flower in the CAP supplied buckets and if so what was the difference between them and the larger 5 gallons?

7) Do you place your plant directly into the 5 gal from the veg table?

Thanks for the info,
215

thanks for popping in and for the kind words man. ok to the answers.

1) for addbacks i add back just ph'd tap water until the res capacity has been met with add backs (55 gal) then i change the res with fresh nutes, usually takes about 2 weeks.

2) I have found that the "less is more" saying to be quite true, i was running all sorts of additives and have recently started using just gh M-B-calmag and maintain a constant ppm of 1000. i will flush the entire system with ph'd tap water for 4-5 days prior to the older plants harvesting.

3) i have and still am flowering in the cap 2 gal buckets (those are the buckets in the recent pics) they hold a surprisingly large root mass and i am quite happy with them so far (they can grow some pretty large plants).

4) yes i veg in 4x4x2 RW cubes now on the same flood tables for about 2-3 weeks and then they go to the 2 gal buckets of hydroton for flower. they show a little stress on the first day but jump straight back in 24 hours.

This answer is absolute gold, thank you.

Now the question becomes how to automate it? I am thinking that if you already know when the exact times of your flood cycles are then you can hook up a timer with a kill switch shut off valve like DHF talks about and keep a 55 gal on standby and just pull from there. This would allow an extended time away from the project.

Tell me, do you have an intermatic timer where it is based upon a set period of hours or set times throughout the day?

If I am not mistaken you run the 30 minutes on every 6 hours? This is from start (after transplant into the RW cube) to finish?

I cut back on stuff as well and am really loving the results so far.

How far down the bucket are you placing the RW cube? Just enough so that only the roots are being watered or is the actual cube becoming soaked as well?

i was thinking the same thing and have come up with this. i would get another 55gal res and a sub pump with a float switch and the float would go on the original res with a brain that triggers the sub pump when the switch drops. now when the flood cycle is activated the brain bulls x amount of water from the res i would just set my float switch to be right at that level that way when the flood cycle gets low it just pulls ph'd water from the standby res. this would allow me to be gone for 2 weeks.

the brain itself comes with a timer so that is what runs my flood/drain cycles. i am flooding 3x when lights are on and 1x in the middle of the night cycle and yes for 30 mins this is my schedule from start of flower to finish. the rw cubes are placed right under the surface of the hydroton so they do not get saturated, if they get buried to deep it can cause problems.

How are the 1ks treating you? You use a/c?
i love these 1ks they are so bright its ridiculous. i was going to get 600s and figured fuck it just get the dimmables so i did and am very happy with the investment. i dont run any a/c in the room itself but our house has x2 1ton a/c units on it so i set the house to 72 and the grow room stays at 77, eventually i am going to build a 10x10 flower room completly water cooled so i can run co2. i will be running the 2hp chillking for the whole thing.

Sealed room--- and i thought you were hardcore already! Ill be watching with keen interest!
lol hey man i try, im so exited to run a sealed co2 setup! also thinking about replacing the ebb and grow with a 8 site undercurrent setup but im not sure. cant find many grow journals on them they look amazing but i wanna see some results:)

From what I have seen of the UnderCurrents if you dial them in PERFECTLY.... there is no way to beat their growth rate.

It's like your plants on some super juiced up steroid shit. BUTTTTTT.... if there is literally one thing wrong, your pump fails, the temps are off in the water, ANYTHING...

You end up with a dead crop :yoinks:.

Now as to your genetics: Are these from seed or all from clone?

I have been dying to pick up The Purps from BC Bud Depot but in my research of their outfit it seems like 90%+ of the reviews are bad on them.

thats what i have heard about these systems, most are saying a chiller is a must (which is no problem). i think if done correctly it could be a monster yielding system especially with co2 in the mix. the BC god bud i purchased from BC bud depot, the super critical was purchased from green house, the bubba is a pre-98 cut i was lucky to get from a old school grower who has had it for a while, the god buds i have 2 pheno's of one is turning purple and the other is the larger heavier yielding on i guess as far as i know there is only 3 pheno's.
