LOL yeah mega-dump...let me suggest the following;

Mendocino Coastline and especially "Sea Ranch" area for remote and stunning coastline.

Yosemite - Bucket list park GO TO IT, you won't be disappointed

Carmel/Monterey pennisula - I live in Santa Cruz so I will totally get you baked if you get up here but it truly is beautiful.

Desert's- I have to agree man, night in the dessert is magic, pop some shrooms and watch the stars amazing

Los Angeles - Hey it's LA, hit Venice Beach for the freak show, Hollywood, just walk around Burbank you would be AMAZED who you might see their,Newport Beach is sweet if you like that kind of thing, farther south way south is Laguna Nagel thats a trip.

San Francisco - hit it on your way to Mendo, another must see city.

If you really want to see remote beauty, go north on I5 till you hit Weed, Ca (yes Weed lol) then head North East on 97 you'll hit Oregon sooner or later (Crater Lake is amazing) but it is also a great trip.

Lake Tahoe - Man that lake is BLUE! And their are Casino's! lol

Have fun I love this state but I live here.

i tripped out on one section of the coast coming back. there was a cow standing on the cliffs edge. freaked me out thought i was seeing things. i since learned there is dairy/beef farms there. windy curved road. if you beeped you might freak out cow and over he goes. would be tenderised by the time it hits the beach. bonfire and beef it is LOL

They are mountain cows...they have legs shorter one one side so they dont fall down the mountain...at least thats what we told my dumb ass sister in law...funny thing was she believed it...hahahaha

Huli, an FYI if you're planning on hitting the Sierra--you need to go here and keep up to date on closures. I'm pretty sure most of the passes through the Sierra are going to be closed by the end of this month, only a few passes remain open.

I have to agree, but would not call a place I barely know a dump. I have heard the crime rate is extremely high in Stockton. I slept in a rest area when I rode my motorcycle through there when I was young. I slept on a bench with my chain tightener in my hand. A friend of mine, mechanical engineer got her degree there at Pacific.

I don't think I will make it to Yosemite this trip unfortunately, but Monterrey, Carmel and Santa Cruz are possible. I would really like to visit there again, it has been years.

The name "California" was applied to the territory now known as the state of California by one or more Spanish explorers in the 1500's and likely was a reference to a mythical land described in a popular novel of the time.

De Montalvo wrote about Calafia, an amazon warrior (female). The story was about her, her people and her country. It was based upon many centuries of stories of Amazons, groups of woman warriors who fought like men. As well, the story of an island paradise filled with gold and pearls was a recurring theme that de Montalvo was familiar with. In seeking new land, Spanish explorers were often led onward after hearing about a land of gold, or a land ruled by women.

if your in SF just make sure to stay out of the presidio its federal property and they dont care about medical cards....golden gate park is state property i believe so you can smoke there...go hit up baker and china beach, two of my favorite spots to smoke a joint and drink a beer..

i dont think you will find too many sativas out here....most growers in the bay area have to pay high rent and electricity rates so anything longer than 2 month is rarely kept....everybody is growing purple or kush crosses....prices are kinda high in the bay area but up in mendo you can probably find it real easy...my boy grows some nice "black lime haze" up in laytonville thats pretty fire....mendo purps is alright, try to look around for the cherry pie or the bubba diesel those are some good mendo strains....

I have internet again... McDonalds free wifi.

I had tried to post a couple large post here with my phone and lost them. That is so discouraging.

We spent a couple days in San Francisco and really had a fantastic time. So much culture, so much history, so much everything. One of the most truly spectacular cities in the world.

We visited Golden Gate Park, Haight Ashbury, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Baker Beach. The famous photographer Ansel Adams grew up on Baker Beach. So much here that a year would not be enough to take it all in. And talk about reefer madness.... all those guys were right. I seen a lot of sex crazed maniacs that were obviously under the effects of the devil's weed.

pass so cal & SF, cut out to the coast from Santa Rosa, head north.

Enjoy

Too late, sorta. We are already through SF and will still go to Southern California. I have business in Mexico with the consulate so that is something we have to do. One of my friends wants me to bring a bunch of artwork back to the states and turn them over to a broker.

Anyway, we have been going back and forth, making mistakes, but it is all good. We will be in the Clear Lake area for a day or so and then from there to the Sequoia forest in Kings Canyon. From there to Pasedena and then to Death Valley. I want to spend the night in Indio. I love that part of the country (to visit anyway).

yea baker beach is one of my meditation spots...get a cold 24oz bottle of brew, a blunt, and go hang out on the cliffs above the beach watching the ocean....china beach is also pretty nice but they have beach patrol down there sometimes..

another good spot is walk up baker beach on a street called el camino del mar, it leads up to the golf course and some awesome trails that overlook the pacific..

some of the nicest scenery...

A Convertible? Maybe a few years ago. I actually have to have space now to travel.. bigger, better, straighter looking, quieter, on and on. My last convert was a Mazda Miata. It was a real pain just getting in and out of that thing. I got a lot of looks and attention with that cute little thing though. Everyone loves a convertible until they own one... at least that is my experience.

Now we have a big extended cab truck with a canopy. Dog sleeps in the back seat and we sleep in the back. Still not enough room for a trip a month long. We have ice chest, tools, computer, clothes, and the medicine bag. This is a total hippie budget trip you know.

Clear lake is so beautiful with the rolling hills and the start of fall colors. California is so big and diverse. One thing that seems certain is the California Highway Patrol (CHP) though. They are Everywhere and every time I see one my heart flutters. We are no way medical and I do not know what they would do if they shook us down. So far so good. I am not paranoid, but sometimes reading these sites I feel I should be. I am not a volume weed distributor, but I do have some concentrates and mushrooms. Man I have been trading those shrooms for all kinds of goodies. That is how I got my Cherry Pie in the Golden Gate Park. The guy offered me two for one on the weight for those. I do not know what the market is, but that was a great first offer for something I picked for free. We are packing about 100 grams of herbs right now and I fear that is a bit too much. Have to turn down offers for a week or two to get that a bit lower.

Off to Kings Canyon tomorrow. Not sure how long we will be there, maybe just a day and a camp over. It is cool in the canopy at night. It is Aluminum and when we wake up it is all wet on the ceiling and windows. I have to always get up to pee in the middle of the night and it is so hard to climb out of that warm bed into the cold night. Still, we are saving tons of needed money on motels and only need one every few nights or if we are in the city.

Thanks for all the tips and cheers everyone, thanks specially to you yes. Glad you had a happy harvest. :jump:

Hey hey, just a quick hello. Checking in from Tiajuana Mexico right now. Man has place changed. Had to park in the States and get rides because I have so much shit in the truck.

Managed to have a great time. Shroomed it up for the first time in the Sequoia Forest. That was a holy thing.

i live right near the boarder. used to go there all the time now only like 2 times a year

Oh ok. I am in San Diego's Point Lima area today. So nice here. I can't believe how much nicer the weather is a few hundred miles south. Palm trees and movie stars. Going to Ocean Beach and then Sunset Cliffs after this post. My cousin gave me a big bag of buds he grew on the east side. No name strain that is extremely trippy. Never seen anything like it. Said it takes 12 weeks.
