real good comments here...................

all of them scrambled into one makes me come up with the idea:

what if drugs were legalized in the US?

what if the US started with legalizing marijuana?

the other day somebody from these ICMAG forums started a thread about Mexico's president Felipe Calderon recently hinting to the US that they should legalize marijuana to help cut out a portion of the revenue stream for the cartels.......

makes a lot of sense to me...

start with marijuana.... then work your way down the list....

It would be the best political desission ever if US legalized cannabiss. and i think it would show results surprisingly quick. world wide goverments would realice the goodness of legal hemp, and the wave would sweep the planet.

for sure.

uh...compassion is not a cia attribute.
the cartels run this country...that is why it stays in class I, the cartels will not allow their income to be interrupted. not by legalization, not by 'medical' interlopers, certainly not by the stoners.
multibillion $ business...nuff said.

wow these cartels are up to some INGENIOUS ways of getting drugs across....

they figured out that tunnels are a good way to get their drugs across..

now they are trying to figure out a foolproof way to successfully pull the drugs out of the tunnels without getting too much attention drawn on them....

these ingenious idiots thought it was smart to cut holes out in the bottom of cars and pull them up to metered spots where they had square holes dug out.... they would load the drugs right into the cars and then they would take off in the cars and then re-distribute the drugs throughout the area...

before the cars would take off, they would seal up the square holes....

this would have been a GREAT plan had they of NEVER allowed anybody else to park in their spots!

here is the orig article i read:

Drug smugglers are endlessly creative when it comes to inventing ways to move marijuana, cocaine and other contraband from Mexico into the United States.

In the latest innovation uncovered by law enforcement, smugglers in the border town of Nogales, Arizona were bringing drugs into the U.S. for the cost of a quarter.

The parking meters on International Street, which hugs the border fence in Nogales, cost 25 cents. Smugglers in Mexico tunneled under the fence and under the metered parking spaces, and then carefully cut neat rectangles out of the pavement. Their confederates on the U.S. side would park false-bottomed vehicles in the spaces above the holes, feed the meters, and then wait while the underground smugglers stuffed their cars full of drugs from below.

When the exchange was finished, the smugglers would use jacks to put the pavement "plugs" back into place. The car would drive away, and only those observers who were looking closely would notice the seams in the street.

In all, U.S. Border Patrol agents found 16 tunnels leading to the 18 metered parking spaces on International Street. The pavement is now riddled with neat, symmetrical patches.

"It's unbelievable," Nogales mayor Arturo Garino told Tucson, Arizona ABC affiliate KGUN. "Those are the strides these people take to get the drugs across the border."

Past methods of smuggling have included catapults that launch bales of drugs across the border fence. "The [smugglers] have tried everything," said Garino, "and this is one of the most ingenious [methods] of them all.

The city, advised by Homeland Security, has agreed to remove the parking meters. Nogales stands to lose $8,500 annually in parking revenue, plus the cost of citations.
and another:

NOGALES, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - You've heard of drug cartels using primitive catapults to fling marijuana. Then there are the so-called quarterbacks tossing football-shaped bundles over the fence in Nogales, Sonora to receivers waiting to catch the marijuana on the U.S.-side.

Now, Nogales Mayor Arturo Garino said U.S. Border Patrol agents recently busted smugglers using parking meters to get their drugs across the new taller and stronger border fence.

"It's unbelievable the strides these people take to get their drugs across the border," said Garino.

According to Garino, smugglers would park their vehicles along International Street in empty spaces located just feet from the border wall next to Morley pedestrian port of entry.

The smugglers would then feed a quarter into the meter, walk away and pretend to go shopping.

But the street riddled with concrete patches tells a different story.

In the last two years, agents have uncovered 16 drug tunnels. All of them lead to parking spaces located within a one block area.

Garino said smugglers then used a boring drill to carve a precise hole in the street's pavement 8"-10" in diameter. They would then park a vehicle with a hole in its bottom so a smuggler could load them up with marijuana literally from the ground up.

"And then after they do their transfer of drugs, they would put the concrete back as a plug with a jack underneath it so you couldn't see it," explained Garino.

Now the City of Nogales, at the advice of Homeland Security, agreed to remove all 18 parking meters and prohibit vehicle from parking within a 60-foot buffer area from the fence.

9 On Your Side Reporter Steve Nuñez asked: "What took so long for the City of Nogales to eliminate these parking meters?"

"Of course, parking meters are revenues for the city and this area is used a lot for people to shop downtown," said Garino. "But one of the things that's more important then revenue is securing the threat and not allowing the drugs to come across."

Overall, the city stands to lose about $8,500 in revenue. Plus, citation money collected from violators.

For nearby business owners, like Bruce Bracker, it's still too soon to calculate the impact of losing premium parking meters in a downtown that only has 250 spaces.

"It always hurts your business when you lose parking meters," said Bracker.

Still, Bracker said he's not fighting mad because the city should have never been allowed to have parking spaces along the fence in the first place.

Brackers, who shrugged his shoulders, said, "So we understand."

Garino said while agents busted several vehicles loaded with hundreds of pounds of marijuana there's really no telling how much drugs smugglers were able to get past them.

doesn't seem like they had to dig too far in order to get their drugs across!

im still waiting for them to catch robotic birds that fly small amounts of highly valuable things across, or robotic sharks or whales that are jam packed with cocaine or high grade cannabis....oh it will happen! you watch!

im also waiting for the day that one of the ballsier cartels gather all of their troops and all of their fully automatic weapons and they pull a surprise attack on one of the manned border crossings.....oh you watch, IT WILL HAPPEN! when that happens, that will be the biggest mistake that the cartels could ever make...it could also be the greatest thing to ever happen to the innocent mexican citizens..... US would declare war on cartels no matter WHAT mexican law says about letting foreign troops on their soil...

I always heard that the cops only busted their competition myself...and posted yesterday about the DEA hiring a cartel member to infiltrate this terrorist they just busted a day or so ago...and the weapons have been going south since the 60s. I think HT had some articles way back there that had pics of the bonfire meeting on the AZ border. Trading dope for guns. By now, there should be a mountain of guns over there..like MT. Everest!

Let me get this straight : An Iranian teams up with a mexican cartel member to put out a hit on the Saudi Ambassador to the US?

Not even the writers of "24" would try some bull-ish storyline like that.

last august, "El Chapo's" WIFE, Emma Coronel, 22, gave birth to twin girls at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California....

The couple was married on the day of Coronel’s 18th birthday back in 2007 in a lavish wedding in the highlands of central Mexico while he was still a fugitive at large..... (6 years after his escape from a mexican prison)

"U.S. federal agents were apparently keeping tabs on Coronel long before she entered the U.S. and continue to watch her though she has now taken her daughters and returned to Mexico.

Though clues to her husband’s whereabouts are believed to have been discovered, officials say it is not always locating Guzman that is the problem, it’s getting to him."

In the past the m.o. of the chartels was to hook up a capo with one of the boss's daughters/sisters/relatives and she would run the money on the US side. This was done because the men were easily corrupted and/or addicted to the product and ended up shorting the $$.

I know alot of Alex Jones fans. I listen to what they have to say respectfully.

But now, things are changing.

With Iran-Cartel-gate and operation Fast and Furious, it's as if the powers that be have stopped trying to cover up their dirt.

When "They" don't even care enough to attempt to cover their dirt, that can't be a good sign.

peace.

I KNOW, right? And crackin' down on poor medical... I dunno it all adds up man. They're in bed w/ each other, our gov't and the cartels. THAT'S why they won't legalize. It's like they aren't even trying to hide the shit now... like they're throwing it in our face.

Shit has to change, cause it's rotten to the core up there in DC. I'm almost ashamed to be a citizen of this country.

Mexico is devolving into a nacro-terrorist state. Much thanks to the US drug policy being enforced internationally for decades.

The elites are making money on both ends of this though. War is good for business. Be it on our continent or overseas. Washington DC is a caner.

Ya, the columbian semi-submersibles are pretty sweet. They have found full on submarines too though. One important thing to consider, someone earlier mentioned if these drugs were legalized on this side, the cartels would move on to other profitable endeavors......First of all, this is their MOST profitable endeavor, not necessarily marijuana, but selling/smuggling drugs definetly is. If the US were to legalize these drugs, and somehow (ALTHOUGH NOT POSSIBLE) end the border flow, the cartels would react, violently. The crazy violence WILL come to this side, the small spanish street gangs very removed, but still slightly involved would get orders to start going nuts over here.....legalizing drugs won't do a thing in terms of stopping the cartels at this point, maybe 10 years ago, imagine how much money they have in flow at all times, NOTHING will force them to stop that.

The US Government is THE MOST corrupt entity to ever exist. The cartels are Mother Theresa compared to the Feds.
