i mean just THINK about what your saying. we can build a satalite that can beam a laser from space that is capable of facial recognition and pick up your conversation perfectly...

but we cant background check a president? REALLY??

by the same token, the whitehouse can afford cray computers to catalog and mainatin a list of hits on their site...wtf is the 'cloud' for, and it just keeps getting bigger.
might rain some day.

lil wayne has a cum drop tattoo under his lip and has his picture all over the web sucking the spit outta birdmans mouth and people still claim he aint gay.

>>>and all this coming from the same guy who claimed that he wont go on a white house gov website because of trails ????

so they are so fuckign intelligent that they can track and trace the millions of users who go on their site...

but they arent smart enough to be able to make sure that our president isnt some muslim super agent bent on world extermination??

get fuckign real....

and BARRY SOETERO??? thats his muslim super name? why the fuck would you change it from a seemingly normal name like barry soetoro to BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA??? that makes zero fucking sense. bruh the shit some of the anti-obama people come up with is just fucking LUDACRIS...

Birtherism is a complete joke and the fact that it is being celebrated here on ICMAG is a bit depressing. Right wing coolaid is pretty tasty huh? There are a hundred legitimate complaints you could levy against Mr. Obama and "HE'S AN ILLEGAL I KNOW IT" is certainly not one of them - and makes you look like a true ass.

so im just curious >>> lets say ALL bullshit (("evidence")) aside ,,, even though you posted a weblink to some random webpage ive never hear of citing random people as credible source and has more ads on it then a nascar jumpsuit...

lets just say its ALL true. everything you say or think of. what is his objective. if the wanted to destroy the USA... why wait so long. hes got all the power now. he could launch nukes over to russia or korea and start a nuculear war. whats he waiting for. what "inner workings" are so relevant that he spent all this time and money to trick everyone in to believing.

and if this "evidence" is real... how was it figured out by some guy in his garage - and not by the CIA or the FBI or the DHS or the NSA ?? are you telling me they are all so incompetant they couldnt perform a background check on the commander in chief? or are they all part of the conspiracy too?

you can call me an asshole or whatever. but when you make such OUTLANDISH claims that make zero sense - it just proves you are only seeing what you want to see - because any sort of rationality or common sense SHOULD lead you to think otherwise. i cant believe the birther theory is getting rehashed... honestly its PATHETIC. and even if he is some muslim super agent. id still vote for him again over a mitt romney or michelle bachman...

what is the CIA FBI DHS NSA going to do when its their boss who is in question?

He wasn't their boss before he became president. I'm sure in the few months of transition between election and being sworn in they had time to figure out everything they needed to know. I'm sure bush would have loved to show everyone the birther theory was correct.

49,000 signatures. almost 10x the amount required and close to 2x the signatures of the 2nd most popular petition...

Thresholds:

Only petitions that reach a certain number of signatures, or “threshold,” within a given amount of time will generate an official response. Thresholds are subject to change, but changes will not be applied retroactively.

The current threshold is 25,000 signatures within 30 days.

^^^^pretty shady after they already said they would give a response to any over 5k. now it has to be 25k and it can be changed...? whats the point of asking us if your just going to keep uping the ante midgame??

if the people think they're heard, they will be more complacent.

reactions are not necessary

These also may be designed to give the people some sort of outlet for frustrations and dismay with the current state of affairs. An outlet that does not involve revolution. We're too happy with our TVs and smart phones anyways

a chance for real change would be supporting HR 2306

while internet petitions are nice, there is an ACTUAL BILL in committee now to decriminalize pot on a federal level HR 2306.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h112-2306

H.R. 2306: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011

112th Congress: 2011-2012

To limit the application of Federal laws to the distribution and consumption of marihuana, and for other purposes.
Sponsor: Rep. Barney Frank [D-MA4]

Status: This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Explanation: Introduced bills and resolutions first go to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills and resolutions never make it out of committee. [Last Updated: Sep 22, 2011 6:18AM]

These fine folks represent the House Commitee on the Judiciary:Subcommitee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security. This is where the decriminalization bill Ron Paul and Barney Frank introduced earlier this year. This bill will stall here if we do not contact these people fervently.

If you want to help, this would do alot more than an internet poll would.

Damn right. I could easily be mistaken but as my mother told me, Brave New Word was basically an antithesis of 1984. Such is what we enjoy. Don't censor a thing at all- instead flood the people with so much superfluous yet entertaining bullshit that the things that really matter are easily located to those who put in the effort, yet only a small minority will want to. Plenty of people will register, upvote this thing, feel a sense of moral validation in fixing the government, then go about their lives feeling as though they've done just enough civil disobedience to make them moral actors.

I hope to do a bit more than that. Jesus Christ, who my religion is based upon, and who those of my religion are told to emulate to the best of our ability, succeeded in spreading truths and free thought to a sufficiently sizable minority, many of which were contradictory to the government at the time. Hence he was nailed to some wood at the age of 32. I have six years left to seek the same fate. I want to either spend or give my life changing the human race as a whole for the better. And I can think of no better way to do it than to contribute to the colossal global repeal of repression that is the criminalization of an herb that I believe is blessed by God Himself. Wish me luck. I'll need it. The meek may inherit the Earth but not quite yet.

Edit at above: I doubt it'll fly but the number of politicians willing to risk this dangerous yet just political maneuver makes me smile.
Edit at below: pretty much. "These lazy stoners" are easily enough dismissed, those who actually agree with his policies are the true patriots.

i can honestly picture obama saying to his cohorts..... "The only damn reason these marijuana topics have so many votes is because these lazy stoners do nothing but sit around on their computers all day long and have nothing better to do then click on buttons on the internet!" ......

FYI, the threshold for a response has been raised from 5,000 sigs to 25,000. Of course the White House reserves the right to increase that threshold at any time.

I hope so. Let them see how many people will sign the thing. Looks like we are persistent, a persistent growing force who will be at the top of every poll until our voices are heard. Viva la . . . .
