holy shit, your right! i just checked the labels. i thought that rhino skin was 13% silica, but its 13% soluble potash, i didn't see the 1% silica under it. thats what i get when trying to do some brain effort when im high as shit at the grow store! ya, fuck rhino skin.....

yeah bro. rhino skin is just a dilute from the orig 100% potassium silicate in barricade. Another reason to hate AN any more. this stuff can be found by the drum for what AN charges for 5 gallons. Sad I know. nobody ever wants to listen to me when I say AN is all about their bottom line. most of the new line are just dilutes or combinations of old products it seems. Question. If the 2+ program was working so well, how could you just change it and rename it the PPM PH perfect line. sold in tiers by guaranteed yield increases by so much of a percentage per additive used.. WTF!

also seeing tons of barricide products, mostly lawn fertilizers for way cheaper than AN's barricide????

So the payoff of not having control of your NPK ratios is not having to go to the Grow shop to get it. You can go to the garden center and get it from there for a bit cheaper. hmmm

Not sure if this is a good thing or not cause I think it is important to drop N a little at a time from wk 5. But Im still reading, Im always down for change.

edit: and Im worried about not enough Mg and Ca when compared to Lucas. What are your thoughts on this TooHigh?

I have to add Calmg to lucas even. some strains need it. others don't. however whenever running RO its important to replenish the good stuff in water at healthy levels. Blooming plants love Mg, jus cut it out about a month before harvest as calcium can leave a funky flavor.

I figured since you burning atleast 10 lights at a time you should know~ Buying 99% water sucks !!! at a inflated price !!!

cannabisology is that you Dave?
Just the plumber's son here, saying hello, if it is you.
Sounds like the new phone rep is working out well.
Personally I like the Foliage Pro for veg, and although I've never tried the Bloom I will be soon. I also use approx 10ml/gal plus Mag-Pro and whatever else I have laying around for veg, usually superthrive and a molasses/yucca mixture I make myself. Then a touch of Protekt to bring the pH back up. Hits 5.8 on the nose.
Really I like them being so local. Drive down to the warehouse in Richmond, chat it up with the owner for a pinch, grab a couple gallons and go.
Great link, btw GrnMtnGrwr!

After the D.E.A. bust that became known as 'Black Thursday' (Operation Green Merchant) when each and every grow store was busted on that day, smart companies like Dyna-Gro moved away from the grow store paradigm and made several inroads into non-cannabis markets - like the orchid deal.

Dyna-Gro doesn't have really kewl graphics like other hydroponic products. They've remained main-stream much to their credit and have enjoyed a good 'read' by growers outside of the cannabis deal where bull-sh*t claims about increased yields, potency, blah, blah, blah are the norm.

IF and only IF I ever decided to grow using a hydroponic process, the Dyna-Gro line of products would be my first choice.

YMMV

ok so buy barricade but not from AN, protekt is a 10% dilution of barricade and rhino skin is 1% of barricade.
So most of what i see out there is Barricade for grass and grab grass prevention. Is this granular stuff useable for us???? it's a third the price of any AN product and probally 10x the usage
Good Cannabiology did this thread before being banned, oh so sad

protekt is a 10% dilute of what barricade was.

a lot of store keep old bottle on their shelves and i know where i can get the old barricade from an ...should i pick them up ?

is sillica can degrade with time ?

i used it as ph up in my pbp regiment .

i started a dyna-gro/bloom thread a while back here. i had never heard of them, but then realized they were one of the 1st hydro nute companies, period. they are def old school. i, too, bought mine at an orchid farm. i have spent 10x as much on similar products & will never ever go back. Dyna products are my number one choice & recommendation to anyone. it is so concentrated it lasts foreeeever.

can anyone tell me what silica does and how to use it in mineral form??? i can;t believe I have asked 10x without one fricken response. i may just PM someone, but sheesh, i just wanna know about the darn silica mineral form & how the heck to use it!!!
