If you're thinking of mixing you're own, be sure to use Pharmacopoeia/USP Grade propylene glycol. There are lesser grades that are used in various industries/devices -- including smoke machines for music/stage/theatrical shows.
Distilled water in a small percentage may help with viscosity issues, too.
Check the e-cig resellers for ingredients as many will sell "mixer supplies".
A good site for lots of resellers, DIY stuff and basically a repository of knowledge on e-cig technology is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/
Don't mention weed, though, if you're going to post -- they likely won't allow that discussion -- they didn't a few years ago, so likely still not. But if you want to understand how these devices function, get custom made parts, learn about mixing liquids, etc. I don't think there's a better knowledge base around.
