Already planning for the next run. I'm early into it, but I'm [so far] not sold on the hydro gimmick. Not that I don't believe in it, but a large part of the thought is the fact that I've had fairly good luck with dirt thus far, which means I'm not really in to measuring and mixing and perfecting and bleaahhhhh.

Since I'm just growing for lil' old me, I don't really need the extra production-factor from a hydro setup, .. Though I do love it for the gadget-factor.

You know what I like? Not watering. That's awesome. So I'm going to incorporate that into the next run, ..

The question is, blumats? Or drippers on a timer?

I'm thinking of a 9-12 plant run, SOG-styl-ee, but maybe a little bigger. Sort of like laylow's FOG - same size-concept.

And that, friends, is the problem with being me - Just 7 days into this run, and I'm already lickin' my chops for the next.

Hey bobble! Love seein' you 'round these parts.

You know, .. I like spreading my allotted plant-count between what's veggin', rootin', and flowerin'. This time 'round, I've got some beans sprouted (though that didn't turn out as well as I'd have hoped - out of 10 beans, I'm workin' with 4. 5 sprouted, 5 didn't, one died).

I really don't mind playing by the rules, since I'm able to provide for myself adequately (mostly) while staying within my boundaries, ..

I'll be a happy man next Monday, when I'll be lollipopping the four gals that are flowering. (That'll be the two-week mark, which is roughly what I like to give before I go hackin' shit up). Right now, it just looks a little unwieldy in there.

And, what's nice about not putting ALL of my legal plants into flower at once, is that it allows me to keep some genes around. And an on-deck group.

The SOG/FOG idea intrigues me, mostly because thus far, I've done all perpetual runs -- no real coordinating of size or time or any of that nonsense, .. And that also means I've never MAXED OUT my space. I think I'll go for 12 one-gallon smarties next time 'round, in dirt, amended to the hilt, with blumats or drippers..

I grew a few single-cola baseball bats last time 'round, and I have to say, I LOVED it. Seemed like it may be the most space-efficient way to grow, .. The footprint of the plant is a 6" x 6" square, and it's solid nug. The AK47 yielded more than an ounce, actually.

If I max out the flowering setup with all 12, I'll have to make sure my genes get in to safe hands. And even in doing that, my concern is that I won't get the phone call before someone decides to just get rid of some genes.

bobble, this cloner is the SH*T. And no, it didn't even occur to me until you asked, I don't pH the water. I threw a capful of Root 66 and ProTekt in there, a few drops of Superthrive, .. That's it.

I love seein' all you folks here - it's like the band got back together..

I've been considering blumats for the next round (or hell, I could even use 'em now), .. I just need a liiiiittle more understanding of the gadgetry, .. I understand the concept - not the execution, to the fullest..

The pepper jelly was mostly borne out of "WTF do I do with all of these peppers?!" I'm continuing to harvest large amounts of all peppers - the jelly was with jalapenos and Hawaiian Sweet Hots.

I cracked a jar over the weekend. I was a little bummed.

Tasted way too vinegar-y. (Apple cider styl-ee). I've never made pepper jelly before - does it need to sit and do its thing once seald in the jars for a while? I'm hoping it calms down - otherwise I've got a bunch of jars to go empty and refill with something else.

its PACKED in the tent mon! but once they adjust to thier new pots i will take clones and then flower. running two critical + and three diesel kushes. very very excited to be a part of the diesel club. i have never even smoked diesel so i am hoping to get at least two different phenos. i was gifted an incredible amount/selection of beans (mostly diesel crosses) and have a lot of variety to choose from

Do you have a diary goin' on your grow? I'm gonna check it as soon as I post this.

I'm curious to see how big you've gotten these gals before you flip 'em. I'm thinking of squeezing SOMETHING else in to the tent before things get too crazy. Either one or two 1 (one) gallon smaries, or another 3.5 gal DWC bucket (with Purple Mr. Nice, an old favorite of mine) ..

But I have to say, I think she'll be pretty close to maxed out this time around (the tent, she is). We'll see. Always room for one more, I say.

I think I'm gonna throw three more cuttings in there, in one-gal smarties. This'll be my first run where I may OVER-do it, which is quite fine with me.

Good word - "corkscrew." That's exactly the word I used tonight to explain to the lady how I worked it into the pot, .. One hand with the corkscrew motion, slowly, while the other hand dumped in some sweet, sweet dirt..

Mostly, I thought I'd be full with those 3 big gift plants & the DWC Headband.. But every nook & crannie I find, I'm trying to cram. May add one more 1 gal Smartie..

The goal here is no less than 8 oz.

Looks like I have better luck with the lights ON. Ansel Adams, I am not:

Anticipating seriously sufficient swellage soon.

I'm waiting on this one bitch mystery gal to root, and if there's some room in there in a few days or a week, she'll be going in also. Mostly I'm curious to flower her to hopefully identify her - if I can reclaim my Blue Dragon or Green Candy cut, I'd be a happy man.
