Butane honey oil for dummies

I apologize if the second half of my post was out of context, but it was not referring to you, but responding to a post from gaiusmarius, which also had nothing to do with you (or I for that matter), but another member who was trolling (I was quoting someone else by using the phrase, btw).

Anyway, sorry I merged the two separate thoughts into one post, just didn't think it was worth two posts.

Anyways, you never answered my question. Was your oil made with a "canned gas mixture" or tank of N-butane?

Thank you, I edited my reply because I realized it wasn't towards me.

I used
374%20copy.jpg

Because I wanted to check with jumps tek to see the quality and flavor. I have been told by many (who are not always polite) that vector is the best store tane. Maybe so but i feel that
picture.php

would be best.

Something about the flavor is strange. Could be that I burn my oil....but I can slightly smell the scent on the oil before I dab it.

I've really had it with all of the bickering and reported posts. Everyone was asked to stop and decided not to so next will come the bans....

you need to use IMG tags. looks like this [img*] file name [/img*] Remove the astericks when you us it. Iy should not be so vibrate yellow after the purge. A amber color or clear yellow you can see though it like honey

These are 5 dram viles

It did loose a little of the vibrantness, I find clarity is more strain dependent. Most of the stuff i run autobudders, but I can get clarity from certain strains take for instance this white widow

Has any one given any thought to nutes playing a role in how bho turns out?
Someone should do a side by side with only the nutrients different, might be kinda hard though.

gdp absolute

It seems to me that a second wash in iso takes out a lot of good flavor.

How should it look then? That white widow was the best oil me or any of my friend have ever had and we are huge oil heads, not a trace of butane in it and it tasted like sprite. I am no rookie at this, I've made lb's of bho over the past 6 years. I have also been told by more than one grower/vendor that my shit blows away almost everything at the dispenceries here in San Jose. I posted the pic of the unfinished xj13 because it's the only one I had.

On the bottom shot, where light can show through the oil, it looks to have good color and clarity. I can't see the top shot well enough.

The issue may be more of about photography than process.

The focus isn't sharp and the lighting isn't optimum on the top shot and the puddle thickness is too thick to allow back lighting on the bottom shot.

I have the same sorts of problems trying to photograph my stuff and salute some of the masterful presentations that I have seen by those more gifted in that arena. Maybe we can get some professional advice from some of the masters at it?

When I am trying to photograph a thick puddle of oil for color and clarity, I slosh it up the side of the clear container while it is still warm, so it leaves a nice film behind to photograph. You might try that with your bottom shot and reshoot it if you are going for best effects.

Thanks for the advice gw, all pics were taken with droid 1, Not really into taking pics but I will def use your advice in the future.
Hh, I see a bunch of bubbles in the pic you just posted. Going along with what you said that stuff must not be finished right? Imo that stuff looks done, maybe overpurged, looks hella good though.
Jump, you are a fukin artist.

the sample on the right looks like a significant amount of bubbles. My sample looks like it does not have that much bubbles in it i hate bubbles so I try to get as many out as I can. I did purge that more after that pic. I was putting it into the viles at that point. then heated the vile once the snap/crackle/pop stops the purge is done. in no way im I saying your sample is not any good. :comfort:

Yup, the snapping and crackling are a good way to tell if there's still tane in it, another good way is pass a quick flame across a small bit and watch to see if and how it ignites.
Keep up the good work Hh, all your stuff looks good. Do you use trim or nugs?
