No shit! I wish I had the fortitude to whack plants that far in. Lord knows I 've wasted enough time and space on worthless plants. Though, I have no problem killing the full blown trannies;)

I get a wee bit embarrassed when I keep getting caught up in these expressions. As you may recall....it happened to me...not long ago...in the Cleveland Sage. Same exact plant expression.

It's like this meatloaf my mom made when I was a kid.....I couldn't stand it....but...every week or so it would show up at the table. My old man used to make us clean our plates....whether you liked it or not. I used to gag this gawd awful shit down by washing it down with water...

I don't eat stuff I don't like...I'm not growing expressions I don't like. Deep rooted childhood manifestations I guess....lol...

It's a bummer to waste so much time....but...I couldn't picture even manicuring and smoking the buds. I'm stepping back for a couple days to figure out my next course....my veg room is way overgrown...my flower room has way less than normal in it.....I have a bunch of mushroomed plants hogging space....in a bit of a jam. Must quarterback my way out.

The wife told me...I have issues when things are going too easy...have a knack for making it more difficult....like I get bored or something. Don't know if that's the case....I'd prefer to think that I have a purpose for doing the things I do.

I've just spent the better part of the last 2 hours reading this thread cover to cover. Trust me, it isn't the first time either...I've joked about keeping up with your naming schemes in the past, but I see you are now constantly keeping the lines in () which makes for so much an easier more comprehensive read. Thank you. I know how annoying it is to type the same things over and over and over and over...oh wait... ;)

I've been interested in Romulan for a long time myself. Actually, just un-vaulted some seeds that get me excited every time I think about them. (Cocktails pre-98 kali mist x fed romulan) I tried to start sorting these beans back in '09 I'm wanting to say but a crooked partner took me for a good long ride and those never made it out the trunk...

I honestly am a more focused person...a bit of a perfectionist. I don't know how I'd managed sorting so much variation all the time...think it'd cause a bit too much tension in the head wires...they are all ready spun so tight...

Pablos, brother, :respect: for your pursuit and your persistence. May you find your grail! And I agree that CBF is one of the BEST unrecognized breeder out there. Consistent fire all day.

Yeah man....I've been running this garden long enough that it's routine. I do have a set schedule when I work in there...I prep stuff so that I cruise through...you'd think with all the different plants...I'd never get bored.

The truth about genetics is: they repeat over and over...resequenced yes...but you see the same stuff repeatedly.

I'm not a technical grower...I don't get off on equipment...never was looking for the "perfect" set up....my focus has always been on the plants. I mean...I guess I could rebuild my rooms to change things up...make it different. But I know....it wouldn't interest me much more.

I've thought: the changes will be in the plant expressions...as time goes by....as I age with the garden....as things in my life change...my plants will be a reflection. Thinking this...then...being caught up in the mire of "sameness" for a few rounds...well...it kind of punches you in the face. It does not come easy...evolution in the gardens...and...I must question my direction in life. Maybe I'm getting stale.

Thanks Frank....it is turning into a novel. It gets difficult to be accurate and not be redundant. I have to seriously drain my memory and go over old threads/albums to remember all that has been done...and why I did them.

I know you have had drama dude....hope all is better now days. I'd be interested to know what you are going to do with the Romulan cross?

I'm not sure I believe in the Grail....the Pathways are strange...I've seen a lot in a short amount of time. I have a lot to digest. One step forward...two steps backwards....guess it is a test of faith.

My mom taught me a lot about selection with her meatloaf lol....and yup...those Wipe Outs are for real. They are part of the reason I barely blinked when I pulled the trigger on the loafs. Wipe Out= My favorite stuff in the flowering studio...I love those girls.

It's all about the hunt. In my best Christopher Walken voice "I got a fever! And the only prescription is more crosses"

Here's a few picks of a Casey Jones F3 I have going in 2 gallons of coco. She has an elegant beauty about her in my opinion. Gonna dust her with some Dcong F3 tomorrow.:dance013:

"I need more cow bell...." Yeah man....I don't get too disturbed by getting knocked back a few steps. You can't always get what you want....but...if you try sometimes....sometimes chicken sometimes feathers....if it was all milk & honey it wouldn't be interesting.

Hey Lean...that Casey looks good dude....and...the pollination line up sounds outstanding. I'm going to have to talk with you...all that DC stuff you do.

I'm all dressed up for a birthday party tonight....70's theme.... looking kinda like Ronnie Van Zant/Gregg Allman...aviators...ironed my hair straight...bellbottoms...and a funky jacket....kind of a Neil Young look as well (around the Tonight/On The Beach era) blended in there. Fuck man....should be pretty wild.

Those plants are sleeping with my worms....fuck'em

Sounds like a good time, what kind of shoes did you where??

Here's the ChemDD I have flowering. I hit her, the CJ and 7 Dcong F3;s with Dcong F3 love dust on Saturday. I also threw in a pic of my room. Running 1600 watts for now, once it gets cooler I may put another light in there.

Hey Lean...I wore some old cowboy boots. It was pretty wild....most peeps looked like disco porn stars. There was a lot of everything...had a DJ and plenty of dope/booze...my circle of friends still party pretty hard...especially when wives are turning 40. Made my appearance with the wife looking hot...socialized for a couple hrs....but...made my way out before it really got into full gear. Few years ago...I'd have been a mess and would have rolled into the next day. It's not that hard for me to be boring....I feel better the next day. Still though....I kind of miss rolling "Too high to die".....watching the sun come up over the city.

Your plants and room look swell. Watch down low on the Chem DD during the 3rd week. Looks like you are coming up on it.

Because of CHACO....I'm considering adding a spare 1000 I have had sitting around for a few yrs...lol...I'm only running 1800 now. Looking for a way to justify cost.

Your costume sounds like the way I dress most of the time. The only new store-bought clothes I own are socks and underwear, solid color t-shirts and a few pairs of pants. Everything else is thrift store action from the 70's and yard sales. I have polyester shirts with collars all the way out to YOUR shoulders. Jackets and ties made from what appears to be draperies or couch upholstery. Green and yellow striped low-rise bell bottoms. And I rock that shit without a hint of irony - which protects me from the dreaded 'hipster' designation. I was dressing this way when it was universally considered ridiculous, so I paid my dues. I remember once I showed up to a blind date in my best 1973-vintage car salesman's jacket, looking all Elliot Gould, and the girl faked a phone call and ditched me at the bar.

Unfortunately I've also reached the age where I'm really starting to feel the effects of no sleep/+booze very strongly the next day, but I'll still charge ahead knowing full well I'm going to feel like shit tomorrow. Doesn't stop the 14 hour poker sessions, but it makes them hurt a little.

.....Yup I didn't have to obtain too much....the bellbottoms were really all I needed. The Jacket has corduroy elbow patches/collar...I wear that kind of stuff as a matter of routine. My wife shops all the Thrift Shops down in El Cajon and on the beaches....she brings me home stuff like that. The girl has great taste.

I'm hardly ever out of shorts/flip flops/wife beaters....unless I'm in work clothes...which are mostly patched up rags anyway. Takes a long time to break stuff in....and then it needs to be patched.

I quit drinking more than a yr ago....quit most the other additives before that....it became un-fun when many of my friends turned into garage dwelling junkies. Used to be a lot of fun....but....then it became very negative. I figured out most peeps become junkies because they are unhappy....I never was really unhappy....just rebelling against any sort of success. I had great times getting wasted....then it seemed to stop...took me more than a few yrs to realize that though. I'm no AA dude....have no message or advice...everyone is different. Dope and booze just stopped working for me....so I quit them.

I'd never preach any sort of sobriety to anyone....I don't believe in sobriety.

On to the business at hand

On to the business at hand

.....Like a board meeting or something.

DTC99 F4....as I stated before...made by CHACO who selected to the Thai side of the genetics.

I'm going to show you guys the plants I have selected to cross with my OdessaIX1 males (Odessa= Casey Jones X Cindy Jones)....I'll also be incrossing the Odessa into the next generation (so into the F3 or IX2...however you want to read it).

I've selected the most squat phenotypes from both Odessa and from the DTC99 for this project. The reason being:

1. I have come to think...in the simplest terms...that in the Odessa the more squat expressions represent a more C99 dominant plant and/or something more controllable in my low ceiling flower studio. Many Casey expressions stretch like a bastard....I have 3 of those in this batch of Odessa as well...but...after my last run of the OdessaIX1s my favorites were the "Vinyl" and "Tropical" expressions...both the more squat types. I'm not saying I don't like the stretchers....I do....but I have to select expressions for the garden's best interest. I'll probably even pollinate some stretchers.

2. Because of what I typed in #1....I'm thinking that the DTC99s may be similar to the Odessa in expression reflections. I have a few stretchers in this batch....culled 4 or 5 others...just because I don't want to get my ass handed to me in flower. I have a "scout" stretcher putting out buds in the flower studio presently....she is my recon into how much stretch I'll be seeing in those tall ones. I love the stretchy Thai type plants...but I'm realistic on what really works well for me.

OK....pix.....1st a look at the squat DTC99s...3 females I'll be using

The 2 squat OdessaIX1 females I'll be using

A group shot of the same project females....the DTC99s in the front...OdessaIX1s in the rear. My observation is that...whether... stretchers or squats...these plants like each other. I'll post up a group shot of the stretcher expressions at a later time...but they all look good together. Promising.

Finally....a look at the OdessaIX1 males. Here I selected a stretch expression and a squat expression. I did this because....that's what my gut told me to do. I had more males...but they didn't move me. I selected over a period of a couple weeks....hung out in the male population....culled down to these. I like both of them equally....should add some diversity.

....I've made some moves. Getting my rotation back on track
