Not much to update, so I took a few pics. Let's take a look at the 2nd flowering cab first. These are clones taken from the plants in the 1st flowering cab, cut the lights back to 12 hours 21 days ago. I'll likely be adding some more plants to this cab soon - probably at around 30 days. I ran all of my Big Bud clones because I didn't want to waste them and wasn't keeping a mother. 4 big buds and 1 leshaze in here.

Now let's take a peek in the first flowering cab. These girls are coming closer and closer to harvest every day! 54 days of 12/12 as of today:

Here we have a picture of Satori (2), still #1 in the odor and trichome area. She stinks good, fruity and citrus is how I'd explain it:

IMG_2272.jpg

Here's Leshaze, I'm making an effor to run a lot of clones of her. Very few leaves allowing for lots of light penetration. Her growth patterns suit my 400w lamps well. Very... sweet odor. Can't quite put my finger on it. She's another favorite of mine:

IMG_2273.jpg

Here's one of the Big Bud plants, not sure which. The buds are swelling noticeably each day. Here's hoping that she'll live up to her name! Odors? Stinks, and not in a pleasant way. But that's Big Bud for you:

Satori (2) budshot:

Satori (2) again:

And here's Caribe. Not really sure what to think of her. Nice sized buds, looks like she'll be the first to finish, but trichomes tell me otherwise. Whether or not I keep her around will have to be determined by the smoke. Lots of leaf, and will be a bitch to trim. Appears to be an indica leaning pheno - if that's the case and the smoke shows, I probably will keep her around for a little variety in my jars:

I've been lurking. Things are looking really good...the Satori#2 looks like it is going to be killer smoke. The Caribe...wow...look at those colors! Sooooo pretty!

Sorry to hear about the mites. Don't know, but the local Home Depot actually carries pure Neem oil. You might want to look again. Like $8.

When looking through the pics, some of that under curling could be the result of slight, ever so slight, over watering. I would say N clawing, but it looks just a bit different.

I have to say, in the back of my mind, I have been really cheering for you. You discussed with me what was on the line for you...I'm so beyond glad that you are achieving! I would have hated for your balls out attempt to get railroaded by using a new feeding program.

You make me proud!

Hey there again DF! Been a good minute. Not sure about the curl being from over watering - they've actually been under watered if anything. They'll usually go to the point of wilting before I water them and even when I do water there's little-to-no runoff. I've had some minor leaf curl every since transplanting them to full strength NSPB but I'm not seeing any negative effects so I just ignore it.

This attempt at growing has been full of problems, but things are slowly smoothing over. Not sure if I mentioned it, but one of my bulbs blew and my backup bulb was faulty - had to return it to the MFR for a replacement. Haven't had the money to buy another bulb so I've been manually moving the bulb between the flowering cabs every 12 hours. Pain in the ass, but whatever gets me through this period. Hermies were my fault, screwed up the light cycle too many times, its possible its genetics because of fem'd seeds but I have my doubts.

I do admit I began feeding my mothers and vegging plants a synthetic fertilizer. The small containers just wouldn't support them long and I used what I had handy - Fox Farms trio pack. Will probably continue to use it on my mother plants, clones that get flowered won't get any synthetic fertilizers.

The color of caribe is pretty neat, it's just the top 1/4-1/3 of the plant, I believe its due to my night-time temps of around 68f. Satori#2 is getting a nice little color to her as well.

Now, if I can just get height dialed in so they'll finish around 30", I'll start packing 15 plants per cab.

I keep my mothers in 1/2g square pots. They stay about 18-22" tall on average and last about 1-2 months depending on what plant it is. (such is a small container) Once I start seeing a bit of cal/mg def. which is always the first to go, I'll go ahead and take as many cuts as I possibly can, usually 10-15 perfectly healthy selections. This leaves the plant pretty much hacked down to about 10-14". I then pull the entire plant out of it's planter, chop off all the majority of all the roots. Meaning I leave about a 3" cube remaining. I'll wash my 1/2g planter and re-pot the butchered mother. In about 3 days you'll have new growth and the plant will be good to go. Just a typical bonsai technique to keep the plants in check...

Sorry to hear of the few issues you've had...trust me, it's always something...hehehe. Glad to see you have persevered and made it happen! Way to roll with the punches! :respect:

Definitely learning a few things as I go along this time. Never really kept mothers around, and it's a learning process for me. The small containers I'm using due to restricted space in my mother cab are giving me the most trouble. I veg in 1 quart grow bags, mothers are in some 1 gallon nursery pots. I'll have to try out that root pruning technique for sure, definitely have som MG def going on in my mothers. Just haven't been able to keep them happy, so I'm settling with "alive"

I've taken out my cloner due to poor results, that helped a lot with space. I'd like to build a small DWC bucket to keep mothers in. That'd be a win-win for me, been meaning to try my hand at hydro, and it'd take up less space.

Personally, I think soil is better for the moms. Just really keeps 'em in check. I suppose it all really depends on how many cuts you plan to take or need per cycle. Hydro growth rates could have you tossing and trimming cuts just to keep her in the proper size range...

But then again, everyone knows I'm partial to the dirt...hehehe.

Well, I took your advice - just root pruned both moms and stuck some more fresh NSPB mix (50%) in its place.

Also took a look at my clones and whatnot - I put one more Leshaze clone in flowering. Trying to determine what height to stick them in flowering to get them to finish at 30" roughly. This girl went in at 8" tall.

Moved 4 clones from the cloner and put 'em in dirt. 3 Leshaze and 1 Big Bud. The Leshaze is by far the easiest to clone - I need to get a rooting hormone for the rest I believe. Really want to get some more Satori's in there - I love how frosty she is.

That satori is indeed a beauty!!

Here's some more pictures of the girls I snapped tonight, I really need a new camera and that's being squeezed in the budget right after I buy lift kit and some bigger tires for my truck. Anyway, enjoy!

Here's a peek inside my 2nd flowering cab, other than the spider mite damage, I think they're coming along nicely:

Newest addition to the cab - Leshaze clone put in flowering @ 8" tall:

IMG_2376.jpg

And here's my veg cab, battling spider mites, but I think I'm winning this easily:

This will be my last post for a little while. Got to straighten everything out, too many issues came up these past few weeks. Just harvested 3 of the 6 big plants - Leshaze, Caribe, and the good Satori. Still got some more trimming to do, but here's some pictures that were taken tonight. I'll post up more pictures of the harvests. I'll be running as many Leshaze and Satori as I can next round with some Caribe thrown in while I veg out a new strain - BOG Blue Moon Rocks. Tired of these long flowering strains already.

Anyway, here's half of what I had under 400w after the initial trimming, probably finish that tomorrow:

And here's some shots I took tonight, gonna do my best to identify the plant:

Awesome! Beautiful pictures. Get things straightened out, we'll be here. How would you rate your product / experience thus far? Can't wait for a final review of that Satori! :respect:

Did a little more trimming on 'em today and here's what they look like after they've been cleaned up. Couldn't get the camera color to change, going to figure that out and try again.

Since this is my first organic grow I have no basis for comparison to other organic feeding plans, but I absolutely love the simplicity of NSPB. I saw leaf claw and very minor nutrient burn ever since putting them in the full strength mix, but if my grow was affected negatively, I didn't notice it.

That said, there's a learning curve to organics and all of these problems I've ran into were faults of mine, neglecting to tend to this or that through the grow eventually built up.

I just need a fast finisher. That'll make my experience more enjoyable.
