Very good Pictures with Strong Plats.

U are Crazy man :)

i m lost for words

Thanks for stopping in!

hey bro i just pulled down an og last night, and it turned out wayyy more hairy than my last run. The heat definitely was the factor. I think once you get around or above 81 they throw out a lot more pistils, and never really get that super swollen/popping calyx look. Still dank, but not quite as kill as when the temps are colder.

And it could just be an ez cloner thing with your stardawg not ever rooting.... I was loving my ez cloner, but noticed some strains just NEVER want to root in them... Other strains will kick ass with insane robust roots in 5-7 days ALWAYS, and then other strains will never produce more than a nub, ever.

Anywaze, could you imagine what your ogs are gonna look like when the temps drop, but your still bumping them with that strong nute regiment! Oh man

I'm with you man, if the high amount of pistils is the result of 80-85 degree temps only then I'm way stoked. Swayzie seemed to think the heat also bumps the yield, so that's the equalizer maybe.. I'm going to try the same shit but at about 75% of the increase from last time.

I think the problem with the stardawg was that my lazy ass didn't put them in the cloner for about two days. They were wrapped in wet paper towels and they dired up for a second lol.. My fault for sure but after putting them in a cup of water they perked right up and never stopped looking healthy until I gave up on them rooting.

It looks like one of them may have rooted in the cup of soil I put it in just in case. I hope so..

IDK if the heat would be the only factor. I've had runs averaging the mid 70's and others in the mid 80's and I've never noticed a difference in pistil production. I have noticed a sweet spot temp wise def helps in all areas though, yield, potency, flavor etc. Obviously too much heat will fuck with things, but I think a consistent good temp is more important.
Holler sometime man. Waist high getting rowdy over here.

Yo self, tried to post an old pic I had of a run that had way more pistils that usual reminds me of some of your pics. Try check out pic 0245 in my gallery was from a silica based product not sure if you ran silica but def makes way more hairy buds than usual.

Peace kit -

Hey bud.. Had a good round this morning 73 from the tips! I definitely agree that the sweet zone for temps makes a big difference. My highest temp was 83 nothing crazy.. The funny thing is that only the OG showed the high pistil production, none of the other strains did..

I hope you waited long enough before the flip man, if so you're gonna double your yield :tiphat:

nice shot's mang....stardawg will never die..........what up Co....

What up MOneY.. Thanks for the nice words. Looks like i got one stardawg survivor

Hey bud thanks for the imput. I did use silica but started using it at day 45 or so.. The high pistil production started way before.. I think I read that crazy Composer only likes to use it late in flower or something.. I'll check out those pics..

Turns out my man TR is running some of the killerchem crosses and they are almost big enough to flip.. Hopefully I can get him to post up some pictures apparently they look pretty sexy in VEG. I think he started some pre98 bubba x KC and the Legend x KC

"Higher temperatures are necessary for the plant metabolism to increase and fully utilize higher levels of carbon dioxide, but will deteriorate cannabinoids in the resin glands. The leaves will develop larger stomata when undergoing development within a carbon dioxide supplemented atmosphere, increasing their ability to photosynthesize when fully developed. Suplementation delays maturation by keeping the plant's metabolism producing additional growth, instead of ripening."

This came from an old Overgrow post dealing with CO2 supplementation. I know you don't use CO2, but gives a better understanding of why high temps might boost yield. I could be wrong, but with higher temps, the plants might be taking advantage of the natural 200-300 ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere compared to cooler temps. IDK, I don't have experience to back this up.

Cob you are a liar. you got more like 80 on 9. and self, WTF did you lose the royal? I am "shoulding" all over the place here. I shoulda convinced you to pass that fucker out. etc.., too bad on that one. oh well.
I had a hell of a time this summer, avg temp was 97.7 all of aug. Boosh! shit killed the density and made my chems larfy and hairy. Heat is a killer.
The LOG X KC are looking really og dom right now, smell really nice too.

I don't think temps add to pistil production if you room is appropriate rH, leaf temps etc are according to room temp/vpd. I get bigger buds and more "swollen calyx" blow up at slightly higher temps. So far at least, we'll see how that changes this winter.

i think its really strain dependent... Last round my og's were the only ones to show any ill effect from the heat.... everything else seemed relatively the same, whereas my og was a little more airy and had way more pistils.

what kinda temps, rh levels, and hows air exchange? most def can be strain dependent, but i think its more grow room dependent.

my temps were averaging 81-84 this last run, with rh 40-50%, lots of air being exchanged.
The run before that temps were 75-79 and the quality was noticeably better

Sounds like you got it figured out. I love those new 6" max fans. Picked a few up myself. Be on the lookout for some new gear homie!

I'll tell you what Paco, cob and I have got to watch out for his old lady. Crushing it down the fairway. unbelievable.

I did lose the Royal.. Sucks so bad i don't want to talk about it.

97.7 is ridiculous man give them girls a break!

Can't wait to see some pics of those girls man.

that looks so good. I haven't smoked in like 3 days, 10 to go.

Only about six days by now man hope you get there soon.

Awesome looking shots!

Thanks for stopping in :tiphat:

Interesting. I never see as much variation grow to grow as i do with the OG. 8/10 times it's dialed and sometimes it's not. I wish I could figure out exactly what it was.

I'm not saying it's not dank as hell I'm just saying I've seen it be a bit better

temps 76-83 (during the hot months) rh levels vary with the precipitation, air exchange is great.. Don't really know man

For the temps in the 80's you're going to need more rh imo. Less available moisture content means hotter plants overall. Someone mentioned it earlier-combo of leaf temps, room temp, rh and air exchange in optimum range lead to more dilated stomata, better transpiration, happier plants, etc.

For example- i run my room between 78-83 or so with the rh around 60-65%. Rarely dips below 55%. This requires strict control of intake air during day cycle, dehumidifiers, and a humidifier when necessary.

Heres that plump WMK that pretty much sat at 80-84 all run. Huge and rock solid for sure. the stardawg were huge. Didn't get the penetration through the scrog of big buds i wanted though since screen filled well. next time...but think its back to overhead to get back on perpetual...

Word up buddy.. Thanks for the tips. I appreciate it. That WMK looks unreal man, big UP. I also switched back to overhead and scrog from vert.

Even worse than the schwartz. There are spears buried deep in there. No possible way to keep them upright at this point.

My guess is 8.5 oz out of this one.

Hope you guys enjoy
