typically first frost is around october 15thish for front range....

october 1 - 15th... or earlier... for low mountains

earlier higher than that...

all averages, changes every year

thanks guys ..... i hope it will hold off until at least the first of october. got some northern lights in the ground that would be real hard to cover up without someone noticing. it's looking good so far.......

i hope ma nature will cut me a break this year. i am thinking about building a greenhouse next year but for now i gotta ride it out. we'll see

only reason I am hesitant is bugs, if there is a spider mite on one
my sterile indoor set up is infected

My plan is to bring them in early morning when my lights go out
so they get dark to start indoors
My lights are on 6pm to 6am

I'm thinking ahead of the game
in case we get winter temps early

if there are bugs leave them outside in a protected area (after the rain) the low temps will knock back ur mites for sure

i have a cover for rain, but temps will be in the high 30s tonight.

should be exciting, will induce fall colors.

BY THE WAY, do not be afraid... your plants will accept the 40s through all of september NO SWEAT... promise!

I haven't seen any evidence of mites
just being paranoid

only bugs are the damn grasshoppers

started bringing them into a our bathroom at night
for security/warmth reasons
(bathroom is right next to our back yard)

You should have heard my wife freak right the fuck out at 4am
the other morning when there was a grasshopper in the bathroom

Now I do a real close inspection of them before I bring them in - hahaha

LSD strain
their late flowering is why I asked about moving them indoors
From what I know from indoors they need at least another month

here is what I read on the interweb:

Only complaint I have had about the strain is "it's too strong"
so smoke a half a joint, duh

I have a DJ TrueBlueberry hiding in my tomatoes, looks about like mantoids 2nd pic. Flower in my exact location kicked off a bit later than it did with Mantoids grow tho,... I'm not sure if it'll finish, but covering my tomatoes against frost won't draw any extra attention to the MMJ so I'm not too worried about it.


Last year I did bring one small Durban Poison in and let it finish inside (potted of course) We moved her outside during the warm days and otherwise kept her close to a window. It can be done, but it's a good bit of work and takes close attention to the weather forecast.

according to that I should be harvesting now
instead of just starting to see buds grow

makes me wonder how accurate the rest of the information given is

I'll watch the weather closely and move them accordingly
this was pretty much a "this strain grows like crazy indoors,
lets see what it will do outdoors" experiment

Skunk #1 is 10000% (thats right ten thousand percent) sativa...

24% thc is a marketing ploy... there are so few plants on the planet that make that much THC... 1 in every 4 molecules in the plant being thc barely leaves room for all the plant molecules and whatnot, very very rare, and unlikely (given they were wrong on other things)

65 days indoor also suggests not mid september...

The flo, for example is a 6.5 week flower indoors, that will finish in the month of september usually.

it gets harder and harder for me to pic seeds amongst all the BS... But their are gems....

Hell your plants might be gems... but completely mis represented, when flowering time was important to you

Where I live we have been seeing light frost for a couple weeks now. Early in the morning you will see the frost on the ground and on the roofs of houses and my plants have seen some frost damage to the large fan leaves but the buds have been protected by the THC. Now they are calling for snow any day now. I busted out the trailer and hauled the Bubba Kush and OG Kush to the house and they will finish up indoors. It's that or let em die in the cold. Had to do this last summer when the frost hit them and almost killed em but managed to finish inside and produced some amazing buds. Recieved compliments from many seasoned smokers and was without a doubt the best tasting bud I've grown.
Here is The Purps that I just harvested that was grown outdoors this summer, she finished much faster than the others. Should be around a full bird on this one in a 20 gal smartpot. Not too bad for just chillin out in the wild.

Thanks for dissecting that for me

My buddy gave me six clean LSD clones when we moved back here
another buddy gave me six Dutch Dragon clones
and I was off and running
I cut all my own clones, even giving some away to friends

They are gems but misrepresented on the seed sellers web site
I googled the strain and the sites I visited said the same thing
Got to take what the seed sellers say with a grain of salt I guess

I remember when I used to grow outdoors near Lake Ontario
my plants were done by late Sept-early Oct
I'll have to look for a earlier finishing strain next spring for the back yard
I feel sorry for anyone who ordered seeds and planted them in the ground

after looking at the calender and doing some math
(that engineering degree wasn't a total wash haha)

I went over them with a magnifying glass and saw no sign of mites
and brought them in to finish up without being rushed

Building something new. In need of an electrician, want to get a few estimates. I was told my breaker box was super old and sketchy, so I would need an upgrade on that and possibly a sub panel down in my basement.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
Google search did not give me what I was looking for, a lot of michigan electricians but not so much when you get down to MMJ friendly colorado.
