I thought ya'll might find this one a bit funny. There was a problem awhile back in the summer when I had some rooting problems and being a hoarder I couldn't throw away any plants with even a sliver of a root.Anyway this Grinderella was one of those that didn't take off so I put it in a beercup and set up a shelf in my room that had some light. Here we go 1st Grinderella #2, too bad I screwed this one up because it looks great...

I'm glad that everyone survived Irene.

Rasp, that Lucy looks great. I have one vegging out that I cannot wait to flip...my first go-round with her was dedicated to seedmaking, I just want to get her big and flower her out to smoke!:)

Nice runts Chaco.

Grape looks real nice Stumpy.

My ChemDxSourBubble is really winning me over. It's my 3rd go with her and she's just so goddamn easy to nail! She takes food down like the D and she smokes DAMN close to the Chem D, just with a bit of vanilla/sweet...I love the lack of room between nodes. Definitely a SourBubble trait, it allows her to give some really nice colas. She finishes quick too! 60 days and she's damn near done!
Here she is today after 1 week of 12/12.

Finally got the power back on!

Lesson learned, this weekend I'm buying a backup generator. I just moved the whole garden out to the backyard so they could get some sun, very thankful that it's august and not january. Back in they go!

Glad to hear the juice is back for ya, Vado.

TC, you've been smoking good all week! I smoked through my jar of ECSD in record time. The 85 day jar stuck around a bit longer but I couldn't keep my hands outta the 77 day jar.

MP, that cross sounds sweet. About the Lucy's, I hear ya all the way. My #5 plant was bombed with pollen, didn't intend for it to be just a seed-making run but it did a number on her aroma and flavor. I'm looking forward to run her again for sensi. As it is, I'm pretty happy with #2 and the seeds so #5 could go either way, I can't complain. :)

VAdo, wait a little bit on the generator, prices will be high. an my advice whould be get an older onan generator that turns at 1800rpm. Just my 2 cents, those older generators are worth there money in copper alone, never mind the fact the turn at lower rpms, low rpms " usaully " means the motors can run a couple thousand hours with basic maintenance .

I bet i could weld with my 2 120 leads, an not hurt the gen set. They dont make them like they used to. Check craigs list in a few weeks. PM me if u need any help. I've had a few over the years.

what a beautiful week. If your OD didnt wash away they are being blessed with some intense sun right now. Man I love the late summer intense light.

New configuration, couple new genes, pics in another 30 days.

Anyone attending any festivals this late summer /fall.

Bsafe everyone....

Yeah gman my real concern is getting one before winter. One bad ice storm where I'm at could be bad news, I actually got pretty lucky last winter. Thanks for the advice :tiphat:

Chefro the OD is actually just fine. Staked it to hell and wrapped it with a trellis, not a broken branch!

Vado that power outage must have been a brain burner!!I know some people and even supermarkets are still down where I'm at.Lots of people think that storm was nothing but let me tell ya' my town's a mess and I don't think we've seen the last bad storm this year, I can see that big one out there just waiting to put the beating on the infrastructure...Been working on this big Sour D, she takes plenty of tying back.I hope everybody's back on line out there!!

NOt sure how permanent your living situation is, but maybe invest in a larger LP tank. That way you could run the generator off propane. In fact, if u have LP, ask the delivery company on there pricing for a larger holding tank.

Just finally bought an natural gas adapter an diaphragm for my generator. The adapter places over the carb intake, the diaphram feeds the adapter. this allows you to run Liquid propane or natural gas, without converting the carb itself. An if needed u can still run gasoline. Trifuel setup. Far as im aware, every generator other then diesel you can setup this way.

No more lugging 5 gall jugs in the dark or cold, nor looking for open gas stations. An now that gas is 4 bucks a gallon, the $300 conversion is worth its weight all day. I hard lined mine right into the Natural gas supply of the house. No more fucking around. NO more worries of bad fuel, age of fuel or water in the fuel. bad fuel gumming up the carbs an shes not gonna start etc etc... Pulling apart an cleaning a carb in 10 degree weather..... priceless

Beside running the gas flex line to the generator, it took less then an hour to setup the adapter an tune the diaphragm to my generator under load.

Chaco i hear you, what where on storm 12 now??? still another 10-15 to go before the storm season ends. Ice storms are not fun either...

Bwell an be safe everyone...

I'm going to look into a generator that can convert to natural gas, that would be great for me.My generator isn't bad but it's noisy and sucks down gas.My whole nieghborhood has a generator when the power goes down the place roars, esp in the winter. The hookers don't have one though...:)

chaco,Pretty much every generator OTHER then diesel you can convert. You do loose a little power switching from gasoline to LP or Natural Gas. the numbers are approx but if u have a 10,000 watt, after converting you may run 9000-9300 watts. 6500watt converted will run down to 5800-6000 an like a 15,000 will run 13,000 after.

An noise is lower when you have a motor turning 1800 rpm vs 3600 or whatever some newer gens may run. I also went to the autostore an bought a generic muffler an attached it to the original with a coupler an some clamps, so theres 2 inline mufflers now.

Or you by an enclosed setup already to go. Seen some nice barely used 13000 watt setups for nat gas or lp for 1400, ready to go, nice noise dampening enclosure an all. Pre storm thou. Was looking to get a bigger setup. Got my Onan 7500 out of a early 80's RV, $350, stole it practically. decided to leave well enough alone. I gotta always fuck with something..

An tacoma, glad you got something from my ramblings.'

Bwell everyone, looks like labor days gonna be a washout.

Actually now that i think about it, another style Just popped in my head, theres 2 types of generators that im aware of that u cant convert to lp or nat gas, Diesel an 2-stroke gasoline.

b-safe..

Yet another lovely east coast morning, storms on all sides waiting to attack! It is nice out, great sea breeze, some sun and a million people coming to grab it for the last time.I had a great long beach walk this morning, I can't wait until Tues.:) Had a great morning cutting, some of my Sister tops came out perfect, I'm lucky I staggered the 2 big ones because this would be an overload, the big one has more tops like this than I can count but the coffee's up, back to work kid!!
