I find Man vs Food disgusting but it's hard not to watch a bit when it's on. You can see Adam larding up from show to show. He's not going to make 40 at the rate he's going.

What is interesting is that all the restaurants that he goes to are long established eateries where people have been gorging themselves for years. The only thing "new" is that Adam takes you there each week.

In my town we have a small diner called Ernie's that serves tremendous portions and low prices. I'm sure you all have an Ernie's in your town too. The last time I went there for breakfast, I got about a lb of bacon with my 4 eggs and a 1/2 loaf of toast. Felt sick for a week afterwards. LOL

I like a few shows on there I think it's Bert The Conqueror pretty cool! But it's called the travel channel.....when I travel I like to eat good and have fun, but not like man vs food. Another good one is Samantha Brown's Passport to Europe good show of her in A-dam. And another one I like is Treasure Hunters I believe with that hottie?

bobby-epic meal time is hilarious! I dont watch those shows because they're ridiculous, I'm pretty sure that with such an abundance of food, we should be helping way more starving people then we are. I don't know if food is magnified or glorified in other countries, but we've made it far more glamorous in our society. I can't imagine a chef being a rockstar...that makes no sense to me. I'm all for people being into their craft and becoming masters of it, but in typical modern fashion, we blow things way out of proportion. great thread!

well then we disagree, it happens. Also a nation built on over-consumptive gluttony would never allow it anyway. I think at the very least provisions should be made to make sure the food is not wasted. Such as a waste tax, discounts for taking the uneaten portion home, and so on.
