Wholesale pot prices plummet. Now there starting to get better

So if prices are in the 28 to 32 range in northern cal, what does everyone think is going to happen in a couple of months when all the outdoor starts flooding the market? Me thinks prices are going to tank.

sall good tho right? thats how it goes. competition breeds efficiency and quality. some go for boutique, some go for mass production. and never the twain shall meet :)

I really wish some of you SouthernCali indoor growers would scatter a bunch of male plants with some simple Osmocote, outside all over NorthCali and Oregon... imagine how much prices would rebound for you top shelf and commercial guys when the OD harvest has seeds hhuuuhhh..... probably go up at least 30%.. maybe more..

There's still time of you know a breeder who keeps males... wouldn't cost much and would be a nice lil roadtrip... the rewards may be huge...

And wouldn't it be so nice to get the dispensaries by the balls after they have been screwing you..

And to fuck over the cartels screwing up the national parks...

All in with one single action. Just takes one dude with gumption. You could flip the market on its head..

Yeah, that's real good. Let's fuck over some other growers so we can make more profit. Yup, that's great! :wallbash:

Sorry, I'm evil. Its my inner machiavelli.

or we could just start the rolling blackouts and eff up all the indoor grows. then outdoor would get the attention and folks would realize outdoor OG can be as good as or better than indoor OG in cali climate.

I love it

How would you do the rolling blackouts? lots of mylar balloon bundles at key points throughout the state?

One side is getting the attention of homeland security then...

I predict indoor wins in the long run. Asymetric warfare you see.

That would be a dick move and it wouldn't work. you obviously don't know how big norcal is.

if you want to get more money for your pounds grow 100% organic. Then get a lab to certify it as organic. Then take it to a real Medical Marijuana dispencery, not a fake/sketchy MMJD thats just to hustle herb tons of herb. Last fall they were buying certified organic outs at several clubs in SF at indoor prices (2200-3200) and organic indoors were going closer to 4000.

So if your a socal indoor grower who wants more money. grow better pot.

Being a bit tuff on the Socal boys. I think they can grow some real top shelf down there. Socal needs more weed then it can grow. So they get tons of it from NorCal. NorCal growers had weather troubles this spring and early summer. The crop may be smaller this year.

slightly smaller, but healthier because the water table is higher. by fall we may end up in a really good place. it all depends on when the rains come.

Good genetics are still around in Cali....If growers would realize that Sativas are where its at and spend a little extra time growing them out then maybe, just maybe the market will balance itself out and the $3200/lb will go for well grown Indicas. :joint:

you guys seem to have no clue how giant norcal is, how remote the gardens are, and how NOT FAR cannabis pollen travels. you would literally have to set off thousands of giant pollen bombs to have any affect whatsoever on the crops here. They are tucked away in every corner of this giant state.

a few dozen crop dusters, tons of male pollen, and 100's of thousands of $$$ in fuel and you may be able to put a dent in the norcal weed market by pollinating other peoples crops. just don't get shot down by angry farmers. good luck. (dry sarcasm. do not do this or break any other laws)

lol where I'm from norcal size doesnt impress.

Pollen from morocco reaches europe in big clouds.. :)

An ultralight could spread pollen for at least 50 miles if it was dropped into good onshore winds.

Btw, prices have spiked in Norcal lately, there seems to be a bit of a drought as well. Indoors are going for 27-29 in bulk, ogs and diesels are moving from 31-34 no problem.

This years outdoor will change things in a few months, but CAMP did pull a ton of cartel grows this summer, so maybe they will make a dent in that supply.

They pulled out the same amount last year...close to it anyway. I'm seeing smaller plants across the board this year... maybe more gardens as with every year. so so many factors...

i think that we'll have the same thing we have every year. Prices tank In October as huge producers, desperate smaller growers, slick middlemen and bulk purchasers do their thing. People will drop their pants for as low as 800. Guerrilla OD which is processed badly may go even lower. Some of this stuff will remain around as late as May and June but it will get harder and harder to sell. By the end of June it will have turned and nobody will touch it.

If Your crop is AAA and you have a few bucks in your pocket, dig a hole and come back for your gear in May. The college kids gets summer jobs and buy better weed. People smoke more as they party more in general during the summer months. The best herb from the previous OD harvest may still be trickling out in vacced or nitro packaging. But anyway you slice it, demand is up and supply is waaaay down as compared to the OD season. And miraculously prices are back up to where they "used to be."

This is still a vibrant marketplace for people with some business sense and good organization.

just finished empting out last years OD and got 22 each on a five day consinement, 2 five packs and was asked to bring more in this week so it is drying up(but I'm out for now). my indoor is alway presold to the same 4 or 5 clubs, Its well know and liked by their patients - 4000 all day long, if not i dont show up. I had HS try to lowball me back in DEC 2009 and havent been back.

But i also donated 2 # of budlets and shake, and half pound of hash to their less fortunate fund less than 2 weeks ago. So its my belief that good karma brings you higher prices.

that is why black markets are beautiful. Without an open marketplace with tools like the internet to OPENLY allow for a link between supply and demand prices will be all over the place.

HB1: how do you store your OD?
