phew! yea i guess lake county is pretty bad the city of lakeport downright outlawed all cultivation....im in clearlake too around kelseyville but no pot growing out there only wine grapes..

yea reading mendo citys ordinance papers makes me feel pretty comfortable...they have nice clauses in there about not harassing patients, no chopping plants the first visit only compliance check and photographs.....the form you gotta fill out for the zip ties is kind of incriminating IMO but according to our hippy lawyer if you keep it under 25 they dont bother you...

my plots currently in butte county where the ordinance sounds a little scarier...luckily it got postponed to november so this season is safe for now.....but next year definately want to be on the mendo side of the mountains although i still might finance another butte county plot why the hell not.....double up the gamble double the work im ready for it....

Yeah, Lake County is ratcheting things up big time and it's about to get real tight up in that piece. I mean they're proposing a 1200 Watt limit for indoors, get fucked. Lay low is the name of the game.

I think I read that the 1200 limit only applies to residences. Detached structures like barns, garages and sheds will still be cool to rock higher wattages.

suspects escaping

suspects escaping

reported yesterday but apparently went down a week earlier:

http://www.chicoer.com/news/ci_18479460

I have been rooting for the suspects that escape since I was like 5 ha ha. I love when people get away from fuckin Sheriffs chasing them. Oh and also my friend had 5 greenhouses taken down in lake county by the "feds". It was a under 90 total plants with proper paperwork and proper permits for building apparently.

Kern county just passed a law yesterday the 9th sounds exactly whats happening up north. The limits went from 99 to 12 i believe. This all just happened so im sure more info will come out in the next few weeks but kern is cracking down and from some of the reports i read they have no problem working with the dea :(

Stay safe guys

Absolutely NO growing in residences.. not going to be allowed and 1200 is the max on watts. 2 weeks and they decide the growing regulation. Looks like 36 plants for collectives and 12 for patient personal grows. :(
Yesterday they voted to knock down the number of dispensaries to 5 out of 10 in the unincorporated areas and they put a bunch of rules in place for the dispensaries..

Osho check out bakersfields local news online they are updating.

Just an hour ago they put up some crap about calling them and having a grace period to turn in your plants which is until today i believe. Cant believe whats goin on so many people are now illegal its bullshit for them to do that mid season.

Fuck Lake Co. 2 weeks for a decision is about 6 weeks too early considering what just happened in Kern. I guess if they are trying to piss off growers then this is the perfect time to change the rules. Where can I see the proposed ordinance online?

I guess Lake doesn't want their piece of the pie. Mendo might be calling my name but I am not sure what to make of their path to regulation. While accepting and progressive I wonder if they are just trying to get us all in the same barn so they can light it on fire.

Here is the Lake Co proposed ordinance:
http://www.co.lake.ca.us/Assets/CDD/Planning+Documents/2+Zoning+Ord+Amend-June+2011-CULTIVATION.pdf

Short version:
12 total, 6 mature, 100 sq-ft max indoor garden, 1.2k max, written approval from landlord permitting grow required if renting. Collective grows with more then 6 mature plants must obtain a 'minor use permit' with all kinds of bullshit attached. Maps and diagrams of property, list of fertilizers used, have the pay the sheriff to come check on you, 5+ acres required, site must have residence with onsite caretaker, have to identify water source, explain how you are going to maintain the access road if it is a private rd (?!), proof of non-profit status, names and background checks for all workers, including age, address, hair and eye color, lots of other crap.

Oh yeah, and it was very explicit on this one thing over and over again: the Co of Lake is liable for nothing, no matter what, ever, and nothing in the ordinance can be used in your defense should you be prosecuted.

OK fellas, at the risk of bruising a few egos here, CC is gonna weigh in with some simple "cowboy logic". I dont really get the purpose of having a "skywatch" (again, no disrespect intended) when there is nothing you can do about it anyway. Unless of course, you happen to have an RPG on hand and youre willing to go to the next level. LOL In other words, if the "Death From Above" boys come flying over your neck of the woods, whether youre doing your business in middle suburbia or out in rural Podunk County, other than being completley legal, what are you gonna do? Kill your garden? Move it? Scurry out and unroll the camo netting? In my mind, it's a bit late to go on the defense if youve just been buzzed. If you dont possess the aforementioned RPG, ya gonna break out the Daisy Red Rider and fire a couple of shots of double load bb's across the bird's windshield? Hell, you can't even be 100% sure you are the subject of their interest or if they are just trying to find a lost monkey that escaped from the City Zoo the day before.

Too Much Information-Not Always A Good Thing.
If I tell 50 of my grow brethren to be careful because I saw just a DEA plane <-(is this an urban legend?) or CHP helo or some yayhoo in a Volkswagon-powered para-kite fly over, what have I done? All Ive done is made 50 dudes run outside and start looking up at the sky. And for what? If the visitors are who you suspect they are, be prepared (legally), for a visit. That's it, that's all.

So, if they boys are flying, so what? You warn me, I warn you and then what do we do? If youre on public land, sure, you have a problem but then you knew that could happen going in. If they fly over your back yard, well duh, ya had to expect that also. Get legal. It's your responsibility if ya want to play this game. Anything less, well shame on you pard.

If you fellas want to talk legal, thats one thing. The guidelines for all counties are out there. Follow them and give yourself a fighting legal chance, or dont, in which case man up and accept the consequences. Watching things fly around in the sky while reciting the Lords Prayer under your breath makes you appear as though youre doing something wrong. If I were Leo, with my warped sense of humor, hell I'd buzz your house just for kicks. Wouldnt you?

The Way Things Are vs The Way Things Should Be
We all know how the med-grow deal should be. Unfortunately, right now, that just aint the case. Until we all collectively gather and become one voice, the Powers That Think They Be will call the shots with rhetoric, red tape and any tool of intimidation they can get their hands on. Fly-overs serve a dual purpose. Yea, they help to eradicate here and there but they also intimidate which in LEO's eyes, aint such a bad thing...Am I wrong? Read the 10 pages of this post before ya answer. In the end, be legal, stand tall and wave at the fly boys. Dont be afraid to show off your work...If the plane/helo makes a couple circles overhead, well then, tell momma: "Go gets some donuts babe, we're fixin to have company... CC

Hey CC, I like your style and your current grow.

I have to say though that there are things that can be done to keep those fly boys off your ass.

We all know that they use aircraft to easily spot the light green patches from the air. I saw some leo on TV telling everyone how easy it is to even spot the plants under canopies of bushes.

Well, with so much at stake this time of year, we wont let those fly boys disrupt all our hard work here in SoCal. We know which airports they fly out of, which aircraft they use, we have spotters telling us they are in the area long before they ever arrive, and we use military camo netting on pivot poles to cover large areas of plots relativity quickly.

They fly over us several times a year and never come back for a second look. Love that camo netting! Makes it near impossible to see from the air. Works in combat, works at grow sites.

The only way they will find our plots is to huff it in and discover by chance. There is always an exit plan if this happens, so there are ways.
