i was just recently told by a friend who is doing the same thing, that keeping the weapon in your car is basically like keeping it in your home. they consider it an extension of your home. so if something happened theyre still going to fuck you somehow.
i dont know if this is 100% true. but i can see that going down that way very easily.

Here in CO, your vehicle is considered an extension of your home.

It's been a few years since I've been pulled over with my piece in the vehicle (haven't been pulled over in years, knock on wood!). I did get pulled over by CO State Patrol once with my gun in the ride. This was shortly after new gun laws had taken effect. I had some led lights on my license plate, cop wanted them off (illegal to have them powered on when on a public road in the first place, but they were blue in color, which he said he could charge me with attempting to impersonate a police officer for having them on!).

I told him I didn't know that, and would disconnect them immediately. I hopped out of my ride, popped the hood, and disconnected the LED's (they were wired into the parking lights, so I wouldn't have to run another switch or additional wiring to turn them on).

While I was doing that, he was looking around my car from my open door, not really entering, just looking with his flashlight (early in the morning, still dark). I'm still under the hood capping wires to prevent a short, when he says "Is this your gun?".

I reply "Yes it is, please be careful with it, it's loaded and the only safety is on the trigger." (Glock)

Him: "Yeah, I know, I own one just like it. It IS yours, right?"

Me: "Of course it is, check it if you like. I've got nothing to hide, you're just making me even later for work than I'm already going to be."

At that he hesitated, then he says:

"Why do you have it loaded?"

Me: "Why do you keep your gun loaded? Pretty pointless to ask me questions you know the answer to. I'm not a criminal, I'm a law-abiding citizen who has the right to his gun. I know the law, I wouldn't carry it loaded if it was illegal."

He got kinda pissed off, and told me "We prefer that you keep the gun and clip physically separated."

I looked him square in the eye, and told him AGAIN I knew the law, and knew I was within my rights. I then said "If I need it, I sure don't want to fumble with the clip or slide! I ALWAYS keep one in the hole!"

By this time, he could tell I wasn't bullshitting, and let me go. He never even picked up my gun, just left it right where he saw it.

I was on my way to work, so I wasn't smoking or carrying weed, which only made me bolder. :bigeye:

Found the damn mall ninja.

Actually, the MP5SD is a bit outdated, and rarely used by tactical operators anymore. You have watched too many movies. the 9mm round is a bit anemic even for a handgun these days, much less a shouldered weapon. I am sure you already knew that.

It would most likely be a AR15 or some variant. The 5.56 provides much more stopping power, as well as effective range. With the AR having various SBR applications and piston driven operating systems, the HK while a great SMG, is not what entry teams use these days.

I don't break the law, so I won't have any cops coming to my neck of the woods.

My simple point is that a dog is not considered a deadly weapon, all that bullshit you posted, on a table in a court room won't look too good. You get a good prosecutor on your ass, that didn't get any pussy the night before and guess who ends up getting fucked? Most people growing weed, don't need to have anything more than a baseball bat at the house. You are trying to sound like a badass, I am trying to keep the OP from having years tacked onto a drug sentence, because he had a Glock in his car.

If someone comes to rob you. Chances are you fucked up along the way. People coming to rob you will not be Ninjas, even though you apparently are... The people that rob grows are usually young thugs, that found out because the grower got lazy.

I don't care how many chloroform loaded dart guns or ninja stars you have, 3-4 Cane Corsos would work your ass. You might get one, Chuck Norris might could take two, but anymore than that and you are dogfood.

I am not talking about the family springer spaniel either.

By the way... How many attack dogs have you taken down?

Maybe not Cane Corsos. I was just providing an example of a attack dog. Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pit Bulls, are all cheaper.

There are plenty of people that have 2-3 pits. Nasty mothers. I am also very interested to hear how many attack dogs he has neutralized.

The point of the thread is should you keep a gun in your car, as opposed to in the house where the grow is? The answer is "no". You will still get hung with a weapons charge. Which will probably be the case with any weapon. Will you get a weapons charge for a dog? No.

Are dogs unstoppable? No.

Are gun owners unstoppable? No.

(In a grow house) Is it better to have a gun/weapon, than a dog? No.

Best thing to do... Grow in one house, and live in another. Oh yeah, don't be an idiot.

Damn, some great posts! The mall ninja! LMAO!!!! :bigeye:

The only thing I disagree with Bobby about is his use of the word "cheap" when describing a pack of guard dogs. Brotha needs to teach me how to step up my flower room if 6K worth of dogs eating like 400 bucks worth of food a month is cheap, mayne.

If your in the city or right in town somewhere its probably not a good idea to have a gun at your grow.

If you live in the woods and you got your hunting license, than fuck it, your not getting charged, at least where im from.

My guard dog is named Mosberg 835. Deer get hit all the time around here Ive hit a few. Carrying a weapon is the humane thing to do. The three county cops and two state troopers in my county have all shot my super magnum.

Unfortunately in a lot of parts of the country having a baseball bat or a leave me alone I'll not hurt you attitude is not enough & I definitely live in that part that you might need to defend everything including your lives & I have the means & the attitude that I will protect ourselves & so does my wife !
Oh & I am medicated for everybody's sake!:laughing::plant grow::wave:

I was recently busted. They had a search warrant for my home. After gathering and confiscating everything from my home they proceeded to search my vehicle. They found a oz in the vehicle an confiscated it.

However they did not search my womans vehicle. So if you keep any weapon in any vehicle make sure that its a vehicle that is not in the persons name on the lease of the house or deed. Otherwise they might find it and Im sure they will add that right into the list of charges they bring up against you!

I don't give a shit. I'm the nicest guy you'll prob ever meet. I'd give you the shirt off my back because I'm stupid like that. I always preached that bullshit about not having guns at your grow. Well I just got robbed a few weeks ago and got taken for practically everything I had on harvest day. I'm borderline homeless now because I'm not sure how the fuck I'm gonna pay my bills. My girl was even here by herself and luckily didnt leave the bedroom. I've had the worst year of my life and was trying to get back on my feet until this happened. Now I don't give. A shit. If it's gonna be you or me it's gonna be you I can guarantee you that. I don't give a shit about the money I'll get back on my feet sooner or later. But the safety of my dogs and my girl are my only concerns. What if she got fucking raped because of this shit? That sort of stuff kills me. I now have a saiga 12 gauge and SCAR AR-15 I sleep with every night. I keep my numbers under 99 and if they come back I'm calling the cops and strapping up. I'm not trying to be a badass but it's instances like this recent one that make you realize there's alot of shady motherfuckers out there. I try to help so many people and have gotten nothing but grief for it. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Be safe everybody and god bless.

OR is a farely redneck state though when it comes to gun laws. You want a fully automatic assault rifle??? get a class 3 federal firearms permit and it's all yours with a silencer if you want... want a thermal scope for that??? Go for it. This state is wacky as hell when it comes to that shit.

Why is that wacky? I'm not saying wacky gun owners don't exist, but why is it wacky to want a full auto rifle with silencer and scope? That just sounds like some good clean fun to me :tiphat: :jump: :blowbubbles:

I like to think about a universe where defense contractors have stores.

"Oh I'm going down to McDonnell Douglas today to pick up my F-15.. Hell ya I got the Strike Eagle package. Who do you think you're talking to?"
