Thanks mate! will update the Pink Salad early next week.

They are coming along quite nicely, I have been letting them get drier than I normally would because of my pest troubles, so they were looking a little sad earlier, but bounced back like champs after a drink!

Hey Mitch dont let them dry out, causes fine root damage, try putting 1 inch of sand or 2 inches of perlite on the top of soil this will greatly reduce the amount of Gnats you are dealing with.

Don't worry SGS, they haven't been getting overly/bone dry, just giving them an extra day without water than I usually would.

I'm without transport atm so can't pick up any sand or perlite, but the grow shop are sending me out some gnat-off free of charge which is good as it normally runs £20 for a small bottle.

There aren't many visible adults or larvae now after treating with nematodes and i'm cleaning daily to keep on top of it, but I'm just abit OCD about my grows!

Just a few random photos I took yesterday evening. Day 30 for FSxPB and some random SC shots.

More colour is coming through on the FSxPB, not quite to the point is it truely visable on camera, but to the naked eye it's there.

I think there are around 50% coloured pheno's now. But I guess it is luck of the draw similar to male/fem ratios.

At this stage the bud structure definetly looks Fruit Salad dominant.

They are flowering quickly, Resin is starting to appear and should have some mini colas joined up by next week!

Peace, Mitch

cheers mate, I use a Fujifilm JX 530 - 14 megapixels.

I don't know a great deal about cameras, but is pretty good for a little grow room camera for me!

Hey mitch....things running great :) I really like your setup bro...how much do you think they would yield each?

Thanks guys ^^^ :)

krusher - It's hard to say at this stage, I think under 400w half an Oz each average would be really nice! But 10 g's a piece would be respectable.

Remember though that this was not a full run, I have 21 plants in there with potential space for another 15.

If it had been a full run of 36 plants and they achieved 14g each that would give a 1.2+ GPW which I think seems about right for me for these AF-SOGS, although I'm sure better growers could get more out of them?

In the coming weeks I will either move the Seeded Secret Citrus in there to finish, or I will start some Regular strains vegging in the vacant space..

cheers, mitch

No I haven't considered it, but would be an interesting test to do..

I imagine it would delay them a little but if you aren't on a time schedule then the potential increase in yield could be worthwhile..

Ok, seriously mitch,....I been wanting to ask this for a while but kept forgettin...what do you feed your girls bro!? because all your plants alwayz look healthy as phuk "through-out" your grows...DO TELL! [like I said before.. we both have simular set-ups so when I start my BIG tent grow its gonna mimmik yours somewhat....] 30-40 AF-SOG, on 56" x 56" of floor space, Unda mi 600 in 2gal, 13"h 8"w pots....all because of the results SGS & You get...(LOVE COLOR BUDZ) torn between FFOF or Bio-Bizz All-Mix w/40% perlite of course...

Hey uts mate, Unfortunately I've never worked out an exact schedule or recipe so to speak but I can give you a brief outline no problem...

With Fruit Salad x Pinkbud (and most other AF's I have ran) I always start them in 'light mix' as there is some Blueberry (nutrient sensitive) and to avoid any risk of stunting.

So the first 2 weeks (if sexing around 14 days) they get plain water.

I pot them up into a regular soil with more nutrients in e.g 'all-mix' and I water them in with a light feed of grow - 0.5ml per litre.

In the past I have continued with plain water thinking that the new soil would keep them well for a few weeks, but I found that they can't access the nutrients in the new soil straight away or it is not enough for them. Consequently I would miss the little window when they first got hungry and I would see deficiencies. Although they would carry on budding up fine given feeds from there on out, quite a few fan leaves would be lost.

Anyway from sex until around 45 days I gradually up the feeds going by how the plants look.

After 45-50 days I'll put them on plain water until chop, they may look abit shitty at the end but at least you know they have used up all of the available nutrients that won't follow through into your end smoke.

And that's it really. Grow and bloom feed + molasses. Molasses from around 30 days.
I also give them a one off feed of epsom salts about half way through.

With a 60 day AF strain there isn't too much time to really mess them up if you're sensible with nutrient amounts and time the feedings right.

I've never PH'd my water or anything like that, although I did download a report from my water company for my area and they state it is 7.7 out of the tap.

I Would like to figure out a fool proof recipe, but there's a lot of variables depending on environment/setup etc etc.

Cheers mitch, and good luck with your grow.
