What's new

Casey Jones... where would you rate it amongst the strains you have tried???

He was mistaken, FB you got the schmoe. It's a sick yielder, pretty good smoke. Found in 3 seeds if I remember right (memory is hazey, though).

And stop naming cuts after yourselves/members... maybe it's just me but seems hella corny

No one said HT :)

IC420 is more impressive anyway, no one gives a shit about what goes on at HT lol

No need to get upset Ramius lol, i just thought as he said Cannabis cup it was Hightimes as ic420 cup isnt really known as Cannabis cup to most of us. :ying:

The CJ I bought at the clubs around Venice Beach ranked very poorly IMO... Not much diesel smell/flavor which I was expecting more of.. seemed to lean more towards the oe/wreck side and was weak representation of that as well.. Most likely a bad selection, grower error, or maybe even a mislabel cause most heads rave on about the Casey J

after hours of searching there is absolutely no refrences on "schmoe cut being called a New england cut,Although it was from the east coast .and named after the grower "Joe schmoe" somtime in 2010
I dont see any probs with cuts named after a grower its common practice world wide ,and is a compliment given by fellow growers .
i have smoked it ,Credit was given where credit was due.

Differing opinions, all are respected though. :tiphat:

I know it's very common, but it's just an extension of internet forum wankery imo.... no offense meant. I'm a cynical bastard.

That being said, looks phenomenal chefro...

the CJ i Just sampled is great smoke ,You should be in for a treat .I believe you have P.U.S."s cj #3,Good grab iIMO.If you like SD you will like this cj its very SD dominent.

ALso the #3 is not SD dom , maybe in structure , but not at all in flavor/smell/effect :ying:

I know longer hold the NE cut , too many things to try ! Sure she still around though!

Thanks jm420,You're right bro. That's how I took it,as a compliment.Thats all there is to it.Just so it's clear,I popped a pack of H3ads origional Casey Jones, and shared the cuts with chefro, which further worked the different phenos. The "new England" cut was named I feel as a kind gesture by chefro, period

I would never, have never referred to the cut as scmoes or any other name.As I am sure holds true for chefro as well.

Not saying the mix up was anything other than that, a mix up.
Casey Jones is some fine smoke, and as
far as I am concerned ultimately H3ad is the 1 that deserves all the credit,no matter what cut of CJ someone has.Any time I give someone a cut I tell them it is Casey Jones from H3ad.

Exactly .
I thought NE rocked out a good pheno of CJ , so why not give him some credit , seeing he is relatively new to growing and had a nice find.

You guys that have experience with the different cuts, how does the Truecannablis cut rank with the #3 and Joe Shmoe?

Maybe caused some confusion with the term cannabis cup to me theres only one thats the one done by this site. That Joe Smoe cut alway looks amazing would be interesting to do a comparison grow with Trues cutting. Still my favourite Casey Jones pheno came from a pack of Heads seeds Free Love I grew a few years back. Its the one that got away.
