You got one hell of a first show! I listen and watch that shit all the time. Put down your iPhones and portable DVD players and read the fucking book! Written by hand on paper with a pen.

I'm in the same boat as you was broke in '04 and couldnt tour, so my first show was deer creek '09. The most wet I've ever gotten in clothes. Had to blow dry my pants for an hour before I could drive home barefoot. Seen 28 shows in that short time though. Will be at 34 by the end of the summer :dance013::blowbubbles:
Friday, 06/19/2009
Verizon Wireless Music Center, Noblesville, IN
Set 1: Backwards Down the Number Line, AC/DC Bag, Limb By Limb, The Moma Dance, Water in the Sky, Split Open and Melt[1], Lawn Boy, The Wedge, Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan, The Connection[2], Ocelot, Fluffhead
Set 2: A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing > Drowned > Twist, Let Me Lie, Tweezer -> Also Sprach Zarathustra > Suzy Greenberg -> Possum
Encore: Sleeping Monkey > Tweezer Reprise
[1] Can't You Hear Me Knocking tease.
[2] Debut.
Notes: After Limb By Limb, Trey introduced Fish as “Johnny B. Fishman” and quoted Johnny B. Goode, with Page also teasing "Charge!" before the quote. Split Open and Melt included a Can’t You Hear Me Knocking tease. Before The Connection, Mike introduced Trey as “Sweetie Pie” and Trey responded by blowing a kiss to Mike. This show marked the debut of The Connection. There were severe thunderstorms during setbreak and, as a result, Page made an announcement that they were going to take a longer than usual break and that everyone on the lawn should return to their cars until the second set, which would not start until 11:00.

they boys are sounding very good though. the best since they came back the SECOND time...i think the beginning of july 03 was very good, not very precise and tech but very fluid jams, the band was having fun..yadda yadda..

trey is pumped right not and the band is having more fun than they ever have. they are not drinkin or druggin at all (although i think they are still getthing high. see recent makisupa refs)

the ohio run in june was great...the northcarolina run was spectacular....and superball had some REALLY rocking moments. nailed the peaches pretty damn hard.

see em while you can. this might be it yall...definetley it for 2011. they have stated they have no plans of touring the rest of the year

I love me some Phish. Obviously they're not shredding it like they did during their prime, but they can still jam.

no they arent machine trey early nineties, or cow funk 97. but damn, some plinko funk/rocker phish is pretty tasty. reference june of this year....some REALLY great moments

Tell me about it, the boys did a good job of getting me hooked for sure that night! My first show was almost coventry, but yeah like you I was young and broke at the time. Kinda glad, I don't think it would've been quite as good of an experience to say the least.

got to get one of the summer stages at sugarbush and was still newbie/custie/whatever so it was still sort of magical ha ha and greened out/dehydrated at was reborn on that hill that day. I guess I was a 'kid' from there on out, even though I never really ran with any serious tour heads or any of that. My buddy (took me to my 1st show and was a campus club veteran) said I literally was green. We were drinking heavily that day, my drink of choice was Sammy honey porter, I had a case haha, and had about 10 left before we ever left the condo for the walk to the shuttle bus up the mountain to the stage.

phish at MSG was almost overwhelming, the scale was just OMGXBOXHUEG

tropical hotdog night at the boston gah-den (r.i.p.) was ridiculous

social anxiety plus high grade cannabis or cid made for some rough shows for me but I always found a way to get down. I'd like a tally on calories burned over my phish show career hahah. Especially that winter tour leg with Lake Placid, I think in a 14 day period I hit 10 shows.

Halloween in ATL with the talking heads costume probably a top 3 show for me, met the dudes from day by the river also

would have like to go to some shows this year, maybe I still will.

12/29/93 New Haven was my first, I remember clearly the simpsons language they did in Glide. I caught the hotdog new years show the following year and the Voters for Choice. benefit show in Lowell 5/16/95. One of my favs was the Joyous Lake 6/6/96 when they were recording at Bearsville Studios. There were 500-600 people there, very much fun. I didn't see any of this summer, but am hoping the Hartford/SPAC sleeper dates come out soon.

I haven't seen them this year, but last year i saw them 4 times. I liked the little bits they added to a few of their songs. I also loved that they are jamming a little differently, change is good.

Cool deal! My highlights of my so called Phish career were both Hampton 1997 shows, 12-31-93, 12-31-95, Clifford Ball, The Great Went, 12-31-99, 3-18-97(Flynn Theatre Burlington, VT) it was Ben's bday from Ben and Jerry's and the show was announced the day of show and they also rolled out the new Phish Food ice cream. 4-4-98, , 4-5-98, 10-31-98, 12-7-97, Sugarbush, VT(7-16-94 and both July 95 shows), and 12-30-97 to name a few. To date I have seen Phish 180 times and was lucky enough to be turned onto them by my friends older brother plus I grew up in Burlington, VT.

Here is my 1st show:
