KK,

Try any of the natural or synthetic pyrethrins to take care of nearly all your insect troubles. At this stage of the game- preflowering- most any of the insecticides rated for veggies will be safe.

Your garden looks great!

well i went to walmart grabbed the only spray they had that are safe on veg's and fruits, and i gave all my plants a spray down.. that was back on the 24th or 25th... checked on them yesterday and the bugs are still there maybe not as much but close to it and the tips of the leaves are looking dead... only the new leaves that are coming in the old ones are still normal. i have only given them 1 treatment of fert's and its the same i have always used and i never use as much as i should... and it was like 1 or 2 weeks ago... so i know its nothing to do with them... must be to do with the spray... .. gotta love it it will effect the plants but not the bugs....
has anyone ever had a problem with the 4 lined plant bug????
what did you use to keep it away????
iv heard mint or somthing around the area and they will go after the mint but its abit to late for that... im thinking like neem oil or somthing....
iv heard neem oil repells bugs but am not sure if it will them...
any help is awsome...

I've used neem in the past, it works pretty good but this year im using spinosad.
I had a case of thrips earlier this year in my indoor grow and the spinosad worked great, one application is all I needed....anyhow the bottle says its good for a lot of other bugs so we will see how well it works outdoors.
Good luck KK

I used Einsteins Neem Oil and it needs to be mixed with water,I cant remember the actual amount of neem to water off hand?I just followed the directions on the bottle.
I added the neem to a spray bottle full of warm water with a few drops of dish soap, shook really well and completely misted each plant.
Repeat after each good rain, but discontinue using it after they start flowering, neem oil doesnt taste very good.

went out to see the lil fellers today... had the cam but forgot :D....
gave them all a good spray down with neem oil...
to my surprise their were no black and green 4 lined plant bugs.
but they where replaced by the red and blue leafhoppers...
anyone know if the neem oil will kill and keep away the leafhoppers?
or even what is the best to use to keep the leafhoppers away?
thanks

At 49 degrees everything usually starts to flip into flower and do the stretch around the first week of August for me.

so the neem oil didnt help with the leafhoppers.
might wait them out a week or 2 because they dont seem to be doing as much damage as the 4 lined plant bugs did.
