Krunch Ive seen some fine grows from you and some of your post a hilarious. But your support of criminals, gangsters, killers, prisons, broken families the police and feds so that you can continue to make good money is unconscionable. Cannabis will be legal someday with or without your support.

WOW, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW i supported criminals, gangsters, killers, prisons, broken families the police and feds.....

when did that happen?

Dude your a idiot if you think Krunch supports criminals or gangsters???

I've read and followed his work on IC since I joined, he is anything BUT that, in fact you need to wake up and grow a brain.

It a simple story of a thief who CHOSE to rob others and someone CHOSE to stop him with a gun, end of story!

Austin, Yi and Dang wanted free buds to slang
So they hatched a plot involving a pistol shot.
Without expecting chivalry, they waited for delivery
Sure they were ready to give it all they got.
Out with his gun came Dang
The security guard went bang bang bang
and the whole dang bud plot went to pot.

:D

This is the biggest argument that I have about legalization from our side. THE CRIMINAL ELEMENT WILL NEVER BE GONE. Im sorry, it sucks but it is what it is. There will ALWAYS be a criminal element (albeit much less and much different than it is now)

Thousands of 'legal' goods (most of which we give no second thought about) are all over the black market. From foods, to tires to weapons and other legal drugs there is still a black market.

On top of this, as long as there is *some* value of sorts associated with it, there is always going to be someone who is going to want it and want to take it from someone else.

And on the pizza delivery guy comment, work for a pizza joint for an extended period of time and you will actually see how many drivers get held up. That shit goes even more haywire if power is lost in an area.

Dont get me wrong, I want it legal like most everyone here. But thinking that the black market aspect of it, and the inherent danger of having something of value will just dissolve upon legalization, is unrealistic and makes us almost look desperate.

I must be living in a good area.

I drove pizza for twenty years .. never robbed one single time.
Drove taxi for a couple of years also .. same thing. Never ripped.

There is a good and a bad aspect to the story...

Good that a thief got rewarded.

However it once again attracts attention to legal medical marijuana with weapons and violence and even death surrounding it.

Stories like this add to the arsenal of arguments against legalization of marijuana to any degree.

There really is no answer to eliminating the risk of violence either as long as federal laws fail to protect citizens. Because if a criminal robs a bank; it is a federal offense. A dispensary is much like a bank but without the umbrella of federal protection.

Marijuana laws at state level are unique in this aspect. No other laws in any state fall so far outside of federal statute as to stand isolated from Constitutional protection. Since any criminal convicted at state level of robbing a MMJ dispensary can appeal the case to federal level and win because the criminal would be acting within the bounds of federal laws.

Likewise if a cop shoots somebody in the process of robbing a MMJ facility: The criminal could easily sue at the federal civil rights level and win in federal courts. Because America is at "war" on marijuana; the criminals actions would be consistent with Federal policy and the cops actions would be in violation of the criminals rights. A federal court would consider the "drug dealers" to be the criminals, not the robber, therefore under federal law the cops duty would be to protect the robber from the drug dealers.

EDIT: I realize that this hasn't been test in the courts yet, but it is just a matter of time before it is.

stress test.... your fucking insane bro... and i mean that with all due respect...

what you see as a war and waht the government sees as a war are two totally different things. What are you smoking tonight mang? "easily win"... pff, test your theory out pal... see how that works out for you...

If you steal it, It's free.

So therefore, no matter what happens, there is risk in any business. If there was not as much profit, then lots of talented people would move onto other things. People might still grow for their personal stash, but you would never see any of it. Overnight, some of the best growers and breeders would move onto other projects.

Much less indoor. Much more outdoors. Much more concentrates. More generic product for the average consumer. Sounds like Europe back in the day. Much more Hash and much less variety of herb.

"If it don't make dollars. It don't make sense."

On topic. Smart move to have security. I guess they weren't expecting it. Condolences to the family on their loss regardless of his actions. Everyone out there stay safe.

im not sure i understand ,umm not that i condone this but what would have been the harm in just giving him the weed and call the cops after to retreive it instead of killing somone it is leagle after all and im sure they have more back at the store.
im just not getting the reasoning here ....phone call vs killing somone.
i guess people have no value for life ,yeah dang was a dumbass but has a family just like everyone else im sure that this will end up as a statistic against leaglization.
im not sure they gave the security guards a IQ test.

If your going to be in this sort of delivery business, your going to appreciate your protection. Who wants affable protection at gunpoint?
Want word to spread that your the easiest target in town? Sometimes you just need a bad ass on your side.
It is value for life that got someone shot. In this case the correct life was saved.

I do agree, this will end up as a statistic against legalization.

I'm sure the test they gave the guard was more along the lines of thinking " are you going to do what you need to do when you need to do it, or are you going to just hand over the goods,
hope for the best and call the police?" and "do you crack under pressure, or do you get shit done"?

What would the point be of armed protection, if they're going to be pushovers?

because your best weapon is your smarts.having a delivery buisness isnt that smart espeacially seeing what type of buisness hes in.
the guard isnt nessisary if you arnt a pushover already.
and death was avoidable,if all he wanted was weed. all of this because some wanted to make money no matter what.espeacially since they had prop 19 overthere, they actually had a chance to avoid these situations with a little fore-thought.

Yeah I know, I might have been stoned when I wrote that too, I don't recall.
But I don't need to be stoned to see the logic and reality of what I wrote either.

The war on drugs is a figment, it isn't taking innocent lives either.

Here is a story about a guy who was killed in his home in Utah, a state that still believes all the bullshit about weed and still adheres to the archaic federal policy. I wonder if his family will test it?
His family might sue, but because it happened in a non-mmj state, instead of California or Colorado or Washington or any other MMJ state, very little will ever comes of it because the cops were legally justified and had full federal support, because the "Federal Courts" allowed "no-knock warrants", BECAUSE of the "War on Drugs".

Reality doesn't change when you smoke pot and get stoned, it just seems that way. But when it wears off there's always more weed.

Reality does not change when I'm medicated. Just my ability to live with it.
