(with a hippie handshake) - no manufacturer is going to guarantee a product that is going to end up in the hands of hippies as results will undoubtedly vary. I believe the easier a product is to use, the easier it is for anyone to succeed. if I were reasoning on cost effectiveness, environmentally friendliness, and product quality output I would have to say General Hydroponics is on top of the game with Botanicare not far behind them. Van De Schawg and Cannta are over priced and offer nothing GH or Botanicare doesn't. American made products don't require the petroleum resources to ship and keeping dollars domestic is the name of the game cuz it keeps everyone happy. That hat and t-shirt they "kicked you down", made in China.
Just saying, people can grow their own with local products and harvest better buds with more flavor. The west coast is king of Agriculture, we feed the fucking world, everything is rite here to grow the best herb, dutch herb sux.

Alls i know is boy am i glad eco island has an island exclusive w canna here on maui...
I tried fox farm nutes w sunshine #4 and it.... Just wasnt my thing.

I did a spreadsheet detailing grow costs using canna coco, coco a+b, rhizo, cannazym, pk13/14, boost, pkus botanicare cal/mag & berry sweet....
2.5g calmag $75
5L A/B $100
5L Rhizo $240
5L Cannazym $130
5L Boost $480
1L Pk 13/14 $20
5g Berry Sweet $240
... $1285 for 3 complete grow cycles (veg & 9wk bloom) of 16-20 plants per 4x4 tray w/40g rez in flower...
$430 per crop not counting electricity or medium costs...
So if i sold 1.5 oz from each crop thatd cover plant nutrition needs....

If you removed the Boost the number would drop to $805 for 3 grows... Or about $270 per grow.

Maybe its a little excessive but ive always loved the results i got....

Some food for thought...

--humble, that is far more thought than i put into it, im glad some people in the canna world today think like you do...me...i just want my herb to taste good...i get the american thing...believe me i do...ha...as im sure my friends will testify...so that is a very valid point imo...and as soon as i find american made hydro nutes that even approach i will absolutely and without question switch over!

--trainwreck..ya ive seen a couple shops sneak it in the backdoor...they usually get found out before too long and stop, but those boys have been good to me for years and i will stick to the exclusive authorized dealer because of it...

Humble - rez day was always fun... Dumping 25-30g (because of evaporation and all that) and filling w fresh 40g every 7-10 days...
It took about an hour or so. Taking my sweet ass time of course

That said id rather fuck around for an hour every 7-10 days than mix 5-6g daily at a 15-20 minute clip (which is what im doing now as part of rebuild)

Sub i actually have a multipart spead sheet that includes week by week feeding and cost analysis at per 1 crop & per 3 crops... Wife made my itemize haha

i love the daily grind of it...of course my daily grind consists of a couple hours a day mixing and watering...love the spread sheets..we have the substra but im sure he can extract enough info that i dont have to start saving reciepts!

I personally always have found to GH to be very commercial quality nutes, and not that good tasting... I know the guy OHGEE is talking about KILLS it with GH, but theres no doubt in my mind his herb could taste better if done with different nutes.... Compare subrobs valley and his valley and you will see what i mean.

Heres some canna grown buds... this is my first time using canna. Ive always used foxfarm in the past, and i used FF soley because thats what o g r a s k a l used, and i used to think he had the best looking herb online.

I use Spurr's GH 3-Part Mix and my plants have never tasted better ...in fact they smell and smoke 10x better then b4.... dont know if its all from the nute mix...or the fact i stopped flushing... if anyone gets the time...try experimenting with his nute mix...you'll never switch back...and since i buy GH nutes from GROWMORE INC the place that GH buys all their shit from..i pay nothing out the pocket.... what used to cost me $500+ a month in nutes now cost less then $50 a month and the results are my best to date...

I like my nutes made in the USA
