there are organized gangs that look for indoor grows to rip, not sure if it's the same out doors. probably more chance involved outdoors. some random guy finds a patch and takes it. what SKAGITMAGIC said is very true though, very often the people you show the grow will end up being the thieves.

Local LEO is pointin out target homes to B n E scumbags. Who smash n grab whatever they can, then snitch. LEO gets warrant on Confidential Informant's word alone. You the grower(legal or otherwise) gets a twofer kinda fuckin. Gotta just love the 'man'
we catch the high school kids walking the fence looking for plants. We put nails in the fence after catching them. We also told the neighbors and they also put nails these guys did not even grow. So we had the whole fence line with nails in them
Anyone will burn you for a large amount of product and they won't just look for bud anything that is worth money on the black market. When you jack people for a living your always looking for a come up whenever it seems doable and preferably something the police won't be involved in. Grows are have a lot more tells than stashing a few bricks in your closet or some vials in a cigar box... I've never known a "ripper" to be picky. Not much out there more gratifying than a good lick

Has anyone started a thread on booby trapping your home or outdoor grow? If not I recon it might be worthwhile. Though I’ve had a few close calls with outdoor traps, being a stoner scavenging about at night and all that.

I think booby trapping your grow is a really bad idea though. It's not worth it to possibly hurt an innocent explorer or animal.
number 2 it would attract a shit ton of LEO, etc, attention to the grow/area and give a bad rep to the growing community.

After punks jumped my fence, I did this too: lined the entire perimeter with 4' strips of carpet tack. I look forward to hearing 'em shriek if they try it again. My dog chased away some asshole who was nosing around my property at night last year, too.
I am about as unarmed as they come, but am starting to think about getting a Taser. My city's police force has lost something like 200 cops. You have to look out for yourself. Absolutely not interested in a gun, though.
