Great taste.
No Ph...ever
Easy..
Did I say EASY?
Cheap.
Since i don't grow for profit, who cares about yield.
Quality over Quantity

Organics will put the charlatans out of business eventually. Char, compost, castings, the 3 c's. Add minerals and microbes - rock dust and teas, and it's growin time, and it's free.

mrF -may i ask about this char of which you speak?

I grow my veggies, my bonsai, my gardens and my occasional cannabis plant using my attempts at the soil food web approach because it's natural, because it makes sense and because it's sustainable. Every week growing and learning organic contains another great "a-HA!" moment, like the world suddenly makes a little more sense.

thanks guys. amazing thread! i'll have to work my way through the entire thing. read the first few and last few pages this morning. i just wish i hadn't chucked all my summer vegetable plants two weeks ago!

Because I don't want to support capitalist poison slanging agro-business conglomerates and burn copious amount of fossil fuel to transport bottles of stuff that can just as easily be sourced locally.
Because I believe the nutritional requirements of any plant is much more complex then N-P,K and a bunch of micros.
Because organic is proven to grow healthier more "complete" food, why wouldn't this apply to herb?
And my own organic soil grown herb is the only grass I've ever been able to smoke pure without coughing up a lung.

Sorry heady - missed your enquiry. I got a thread that rambles a bit about char and my methods with it outdoors too. In the recycled forum you can't miss it.

That said, the TP sticky is wellworth a read and contains a load of good information. Read it by installment and take notes so you don't lose things that make you go HMMM. Ask questions after the reading I love talking char.

organi is great, but all the props about it being smoother n better is from grower no how, not the poop or shit in the dirt. plenty of great highs ive had came from organic that were in no way as smooth as good ass chem grown flushed properly erb, which might mean that the organic grower wasnt as good as some of u, no disrespect. i think organic has more nutrition in it though and makes for better quality, but the smoother smoke thing is not true. if anyones into clean erb then the only thing u can do is feed full goose until the chop an then dunk them bitches in water for the cure changing the water daily for a week, its been my experiece that chem erb is smoother, flavour is in the genes, if u want to taste poops or nutes up to u, a long water flush is the only way.

That's easy enough............

That's easy enough............

Why do YOU grow organic?

Because using 'nutes' is more difficult than self-abuse......

I thought I'd chime in from the background...

I love/grow organics because once I got it rolling it's super easy, it tastes awesome compared to hydro and I feel it is by far superior, and I take all my waste and it goes back into my soilmix. My soil is somewhere around 5-6 yrs old ;)
