Yea my HB x SFV OG Kush mom from Karma has amazing taste. Definitely an original smell.

cool, looking forward to these more and more...

Planting to Coco Day

finally i got round to planting them on coco with drippers. things should speed up a bit now. they normally love it when they first hit the coco and auto dripping. wish me luck with the ratios.

Karma mate, would you think these guys would make an interesting father for a outdoor strain, for guerrilla growing? kinda playing with the idea to use some pollen for my out door Frisiandew for next guerrilla season :)

all used coco re broken up and put in pots, very dry.

just placing the cubes on top of the dry coco, the drip irrigation will be run till all the coco is soaked and running off with ec 1.0 and ph 5.9

things should pick up now. as i don't need clones for a while, i took my time to get them planted. i do need a new oscillating fan for the veg area, my old one has burnt out. been looking at a nice clip on model.

I read you do rockwool because there is no transplanting or extra work with them. I plan on starting in coco and finishing. Is there any other reason people start in rockwool? Planned on going from burpeee coco plugs-->solo cup-->gallon bag-->3 gallon bag. I will probably skip the 1 gall bag if it is not needed or skip the solo cup and go straight to 1gal which I do in soil with a lot of strains.

I see how you put the drippers in there and I am wondering if they work any different not being placed in rockwool?

you know, the rock wool as become a habit, i know there are now coco coir cubes that work just as well. but i have had too many losses when i put seeds directly in coco, so i use RW.

you can put the drip stakes directly in the coco if you are not using any RW cubes. still works the same. i do like the way i don't have to bury the rw cube, makes planting much faster when you just sit them on top of the coco.

just wanted to add:

depending on your grow style using a rw cube as a between stage for extra rooting time can make things more fast when they go on the coco. by the time they root the rw cubes you get to see which plants are the most vigorous allowing you to plant those near the edges and putting the smaller ones right under the lamps to give them the best chance to catch up. this is especially useful when you flower in coco slabs like i do. if you are using pots, it's not so important as you can move them around as needed.

Can't wait to see you rock these in flower your gonna love the smell the second the trichs are copious enough to be rubbed and smelled. IMO it is like the dutch version OG Kush with the smell in terms of power of the smell, flavor is unique in its own right for sure. Very unique strong stick to your mouth stuff. It has a mentholated like effect on your mouth when you inhale like a tingly cooling sensation. If the yield isn't enough for you save it and cross it out!!!!!

LOL, i know it's a bit of a spaghetti party , but each pot has it's hose and you can barely see the hoses anymore now :)

i can't wait to see these darlings flowering. i will be doing more then 1 run with them i imagine to really choose a keeper. once the males show i will harvest their pollen and chop them down giving the ladies more room to make clones with.

you make it sound really interesting and unique, can't wait...

quick update

so i'm afraid my pm problem wasn't quite as gone as i thought and now it showing up some on the happy brother as well as on other vegging strains. i have been using horsetail tea for extra silica and will be spraying with nettle extract tomorrow too, after using more conventional spray first, to get rid of it, i'm hoping to strengthen the plants enough that they don't get attacked by pm. also recently added another fan in the veg cab, which is where the problem shows up.

still no idea which are males or females, so far they are all growing like indicas, took as many clones as i could from all of them, so not too much longer till i get to flower they genetics. meanwhile the nettle fpe stinks like shit, hope it's not too bad once i dilute it to spray lol, else my hobby room will stink, hehe.

these will be grown out in the same grow as some stretchy haze strains, so i'll have to make sure to give them plenty of veg time while starting the others straight from 12/12

the spots you see on some leaves are from spraying and putting back under the light before quite dry or from the residue of backing soda spray i tried on a few of them as a natural pm remedies. but the fennel spray from biocontrol seems to work better. in the end i will make these plants so healthy and strong that they will tell the pm to fuck off.

anyway:

lets see how long it takes the clones to root, made them on the 11th, now i just have to hope the mums and dads show my some snatch so i can pick the female clones to flower, if not ill just have to double up plants till they show sex.

peace out and good growings

They shure all look the same now, there will be some differnce between them in flower.
