Well, at least we'll get another season of BB before the end of time (12/21/12) LOL

I know right? I'm a bit worried about what may happen I mean that would really suck if that Solar Flare shit is really going to wipe out our electrical grid across the country. People would flip!

This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards, and Breaking Bad's Emmy-winning star Bryan Cranston was honored with a nod in the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Drama).

Cranston's nomination -- his first for Breaking Bad -- is one of five snagged by AMC, which also received nods for The Walking Dead (Best Drama Series) and Mad Men (Best Drama Series; Best Performance by an Actress for Elisabeth Moss; Best Performance by an Actor for Jon Hamm).

Competing with Cranston (and Hamm) in the Best Actor category are Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi, Dexter's Michael C. Hall and House's Hugh Laurie.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony on Sun., Jan. 16 and will be telecast live on on NBC at 8PM | 7C.

WooHoo!!! He soooo deserves it! Really hope he wins!

July is so far away!. I wonder how this will play out. If Breaking Bad does not start until July. That means it will be over sometime in September. I know they (AMC) will be showing the 2nd season of The Walking Dead at or around Halloween. So where does Mad Men fit into this? Surely they will not be running two of their shows at the same time? Not that I would mind, but I can't imagine that Mad Men will be shown before Breaking Bad. Does this mean no Mad Men until December 2011?

Anyhow, Breaking Bad is my favorite of the three and I am glad to see Cranston getting a nod from the Golden Globes. I feel quite certain that he will, again, win the Emmy (making it 4 in a row) and he will be tied with Dennis Franz for the most Emmy wins as an Actor and he will be the only one to win four in a row (He is already the only actor to win 3 in a row). Also don't forget he was nominated for Best actor in a comedy series three times (2002, 2003, 2006).

Finally, if you doubt his greatness go see his video on Funny or Die.

amc.com said:
AMC will premiere the highly anticipated fourth season of its Emmy® Award-winning series Breaking Bad on Sunday, July 17 at 10PM | 9C. From acclaimed writer/producer/director Vince Gilligan and produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series follows the story of a desperate man who turns to a life of crime to secure his family's financial security. Season 4 consists of 13, one-hour episodes.

Today's announcement also reveals a brand new trailer for the series, above.

Over three seasons, Breaking Bad has been heralded as one of the best TV dramas on television. The San Francisco Chronicle hailed "the writing is among the very elite in television," with others calling the show "mesmerizing" (LA Times), "still TV's best" (Newsday) and a drama that has the "jarring feel of a Tarantino film" (Variety).

Leading into Season 4's highly anticipated premiere, fans will have a chance to catch up on Breaking Bad, as all episodes from season three will be available On Demand beginning Mon., Jun. 20 through Sun., Jul. 17. In addition, AMC will air every episode from seasons one through three in late night, beginning Tue., Jul. 5. Breaking Bad: The Complete Third Season will be released to Blu-ray™ and DVD on Tue., Jun. 7. (Click here to pre-order the set via Amazon.com.)

Breaking Bad Season 4 will also be complemented by a variety of exclusive material on AMCTV.COM. Among the special digital content is "Inside Breaking Bad" videos for each episode, behind-the-scenes clips throughout the season and videos of the season's most "Talked About Scenes." The site will also feature a new iteration of its interactive graphic novel, starring Aaron Paul's character Jesse Pinkman, and an interactive case file -- with photos, text and video -- that allows visitors to sift through the same crime scene evidence that DEA agent Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) sees and reviews.

Filmed on location in Albuquerque, NM, Breaking Bad stars 2008, 2009 and 2010's Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Lead Actor Bryan Cranston as Walter White; 2010 Emmy® winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman; Anna Gunn as Skyler White; Dean Norris as Hank Schrader; Betsy Brandt as Marie Schrader; RJ Mitte as Walter, Jr; Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman; Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring; and Jonathan Banks as Mike.

Breaking Bad has garnered a total of six Emmy® Award wins and 16 nominations. In addition to wins for Cranston and Paul, the series won Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for Lynne Willingham (2008, 2009). Additional Emmy® nominations include: Outstanding Drama Series (2009, 2010); Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Vince Gilligan (2008) and Michelle MacLaren (2010); Outstanding Cinematography for a One-Hour Series for Michael Slovis (2009, 2010) and John Toll (2008); Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for Skip McDonald (2010); and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series (2010).

Breaking Bad has garnered a Peabody Award (2008), a Writer's Guild Award for Vince Gilligan's work on the pilot episode, two American Cinema Editors (ACE) Awards, and been named to the American Film Institute's (AFI) list of the "Top 10 Programs of the Year" (2008, 2010).

Breaking Bad is produced by High Bridge and Gran Via Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television for AMC.

Last weekend we met the actor who plays Walt's son. A real nice guy. Although he does have c.p. in real life, you'd barely notice it- he doesn't evenwalk with braces or anything.
It is much exaggerated in the show...

We just started watching it, and only have a few more eps to go. We live in ABQ, so it's a blast to recognize locations around town!
