Hi guys if you don't mind me asking but why do people say you need a lot of water with coco?

Coco (coco peat, coco coir) = peat moss basically right? Which retains water?

It's not that it doesn't retain water...it's about how much it retains.

If you think of it as a spectrum as far as water retention, one end is DWC..then Hydroton...then soilless and or coco...followed by soil, that may be helpful.

Coco can't go as LONG without watering as straight soil. It retains water and nutrients, but only so much. Plus it's fairly "airy" so a pot of coco might weigh half as much as a pot of soil (wild guesstimate).

So if you've got say 100 gal's of straight coco, it may beable to retain 10 gallons of solution...whereas the same 100 gal's of soil maybe 20. (random numbers)

Since the pics in your thread are so nice I'll take some tomorrow.
Basically I'm working on lots of transplanting and taking care of plants waiting for this storm to pass.then it's back to filling smartpots. Lot's of my bigger clone plants are looking great,I think they're about to outgrow their 5 gallon pots and may need a transplant as well.

I know some products on the market are overpriced but if you use them when your plants are young and small it gives em such a huge boost and awesome roots systems from the start. I never used roots excelerator until recently and people not using it are missing out. That with a few other things I like = super healthy plants and huge fat healthy leafs.

I have been using the roots excelorators for quite some time. They cost a pretty penny, but when you transplant into a 65 gal pot and it only takes a week for the roots to hit the bottom you soon realize that your money has been well spent.

Hey guys,I have officially narrowed my strains to 46 ish different varieties.
17 from clone and a ton from seed. I still never found my camera charger so I need to borrow a friends camera if I am to take pictures.
I am really proud of the health of my plants right now. They always come first and it is starting to show.
I will try to take some pictures soon.

Theres a few Kush crosses. Also got some kush crosses from seed.
As far as Blue Dream,it's easy to grow,good yield,nice smoke,and vigorous. Why not?

Oh,I have started. Some seed plants were planted in Feb and are planted in 200 gallon smart pots. The rest were planted on April 3rd with the new moon. They are sexing as we speak and look almost perfect health.

Clones are in temporary hoop greenhouses with supplemental lighting. Some are in 5 gallon containers and getting huge,others are in 5,3,2 gallon pots and some smaller ones still in 4 and 6 in square pots and 1 gals.

All the plants here are rocking! Days are getting longer. The only problem is I'm getting a little behind building my gardens because caring for all the plants takes a lot of time out of my day.

I hear ya bro. Every project I try to start is delayed 5x more than expected because I'm so busy taking care of plants all over the place.

That Cindy99xHindu Kush is my favorite.
Assuming it's what they call CinX up in Oregon.
Hopefully it's the same pheno..so nice.

You've got a hell of a lot on your plate. Shit, just digging through all those seeds and keeping track of keepers would be 3 full time jobs for a regular Joe.

Here is Satori,it's getting pretty big. I grew this indoors back in 08 and it was one of the biggest indoor yields I've ever seen. These ones are from seed and planted in 200 gallon smart pots.

This is a really cool and unique Satori pheno. It's purple and has a really sweet floral smell to the stems and branches already. I'll probably clone this one to try inside.

These are the younger seed plants I have growing. They are all in 3 gallon round pots with ffof soil and some are in black gold. They will go from the 3 gallon pots to their final homes.
This is Diesel Berry(F13 X SD) X WW(SFV OG/Chemdog X C99).
I made these seeds last year and can't tell you how excited I am. This might be the best strain I have,period. We'll see what happens. All of them are super thick and tough and have amazing and strong smell from rubbing the stem. They are just starting to show sex.

Sensi Durban. I'm really hoping to find something special here. I got 8,looks like at least 3 females so far.

These are Sour Diesel IBL,Pitbull OG X SD F2,SFV OG X SD F2,and SFV OG X Chemdog. Yes!! I'm so exited about these it's just retarded.

Some outdoor growers think seeds are the only way to go. They think that clones can't be strong or as sturdy and won't yield enough. Also the debate of sup light. I for the most part want to select my own clones and choose ones with amazing strength,structure,yield,taste and smell,etc.
This is a Double Strawberry Diesel clone from a seed I popped in 07 or 08. This plant is awesome,and flowers in 56 days indoors. Very little leaf and easy to trim. I have pictures of it in an album grown indoor. This is on of 4 big ones I have vegging in 5 gals that will go in big pots outside.

This is one of the phenos I've kept of Rez's SFV OG X Chemdog. This weed is awesome and unexplainable with words. And a nice sturdy structure and 65 days or less indoor flower time. Lot's of frost on this girl,she's mostly OG dominant. I'm also growing her 3 sisters and some new ones from seed as well to hopefully find a worthy male. 2 of the other sisters are amazing plants as well. After this season and one more test indoors I hope to keep only one but make seeds with the others.

Here's me with her fat sister. She is more Chemdog dominant.(shes fatter). Pic doesn't do justice,this plant is huge.
