love it man, lots of cool trails pretty close to home, riding an aluminum kona hard tail, fire roads and trails and lots of hike and bike stuff

also recently got my first ever road bike which has been a fast and fun learning experience...i think the folks riding fixed gear bikes around are somewhat nuts

whether on the trails with the mountainbike, or commuting to and from work and zipping about the streets, it sure is a blast to ride and toke and ride and toke

great thread ,i used to race XC ,on a local level i was alright, i just got a bike last year a 2010 gary fisher cobia 29er. i went riding a few weeks ago and wow i am out of shape i threw up at least 5 times.
its tough going right now but i hope to regain some of my endurence. not to mention the trails here are well lets say apocolyptic as far as ease of riding ,mostly do to dirt bikers.

used to downhill/freeride quite abit had to sell my orange 222 due to loosing my job still got my old specialized fsr for odd ride when get a chance

I'm lucky to live right next to one of the best trails in Denmark 18 miles in the forrest. Not downhill but quite a nice ride between mudpools and roots. I drive on a part of it every day on and off to work. I can shower there :)

I'm fairly new to MTB, since road biking has been all I known for some years. I got a Specialized Hardrock (Hardtail)

mmmmmm titainium . does anyone else ride a 29er i love mine.
there used to be a company called airborn that made titainum bikes inexpensivley but ,high quality, plus i like the look they went with, they pretty much used ww2 aircraft as a template.

I bet that 29er is nice bentom. Prob just flys over stuff that 26ers would have trouble on.

I just got a free RockShox Psylo XC to replace the stock model SR Suntour XCM V3 26' - I was out hammering the trail in the forrest yesterday, and my friend (Who got a Specialized Epic Carbon) told me he got one for me. We switched bikes for some time and he remembered how it felt to ride a hardtail :)

I will try to take some pictures soon.

Just a Fisher tassajara here, getting out to the city for some riding can be a chore...More of a road cyclist. Riding the hardtail is some great training, though.

yes urban cycling has many benifits, but can quickly change into a drinking game of dooooom.
