Hi there, Im growing 6 plants in a 1.2 X 1.2 grow tent with a 600w hps and i've been in 12/12 for just over 2 weeks, i'm using the whole line of canna nutes and going by the canna grow schedule, i've noticed on one plant some colouration on a few top leaf's. Any idea what this is and if it is a problem, all my other plants are feed the same and they dont have this colouration. See attached picture.

wondering if i could get alittle help ,this is my first go around at doing this hobby and it seems it have a problem ,pretty much all the plants have 3 or 4 big fan leaves doing this ,some are slowly yellowing ,some have brown spotting ,some have seems like they have parts burnt to a crips, there seems to be more and more showing up everyday, they are on week 2 of flower,i def would appriciate any help i could get ,kinda stressing about this ,thanks :tiphat:
how often do you water? could be several things, make sure they are drying out between waterings and make sure your ph is right around 6.5. maybe need to check your soiil ph, you may be in a nute lockout situation in which you would need to flush your plants with ph7 water, 2 gals for every 1 gal pot size. water slowly to wash any salts left over, and check your runoff. also, get some distilled water, put some soil in a cup add the distilled water then mix well, check ph there, make sure your soil isn't getting off balance.

Hello peeps! I missed my nice cozy spot here, been gone for a long time! I really miss being on here everyday.....

I took a leave of absence to spend more time with my son he has aspergers and we have been treating him bio medically and he is starting to finally recover after 8 years of being sick! Praise the Lord Amen! He has come a long way my son has, he is finally able to laugh at the TV and is understanding things like a normal child now, my son was very badly vaccine damaged from 2 months old frmo his first sets of shots after that he was never the same and never slept, so now he is normal and is not running around the house doing OCD and hyperactive anymore! Had severe viral infections from his shots and had yeast and bacteria overgrowth and much more and now we are correcting the balance to bring the body back to normal, so if anyone needs help with growing I will be here now so post away! Missed everyone!

Hey stich, you still around? Got a friend of mine that has some issues with his plants that need adressing/diagnosing.... Heading over to his place now to snap a couple pictures and will post them in a bit. They had been going really good and I think he got a little excited with the feeding before transplant. When he put them into the smart pots the soil mix for the Blue Dream I think was a bit hotter than he expected and so what had been a little tip burn on a few of the Dreams has turned a few of them yellow, almost completely (under HPS), under normal light they look a bit more green, but still a faded green vs their past vibrant green. If he flushed the soil out well, would the nutrients in the soil be leached as well meaning he would have to supplement nutes during the rest of the cycle? Also, it's only the BD that's being sensetive... There are other strains like Sweet tooth, space queen, lemon og, and some misc WW crosses that once trasplanted have taken off with no sign of buring. Is it out of the question to think they might actually recover as they grow larger? Maybe with a half flush? They're not too far gone in my opinion, except one of them... Also, should he wait to flush until his last watering has dried from the pots? Pics to come, any help prior is appreciated.

Hello there!
Do you guys know what this is for kind of bug?
Its small, like a few millimeters. If you touch it or get close they jump away, like a grasshopper.
What i could see, there is some small holes in the fanleaves some leaves looks the same as being attacked by a snail.

After some more research, caught one and looked in a microscope. Compared to pictures on the internet i found out that this bug is a springtail.

I've read some good and bad news about them. Some said they are good for the soil and other's says that they are true evil against the plant.
But i will not do anything about them. If i see some big difference or the plant's react bad i will start to mix up my poision!

root aphid fix?

root aphid fix?

these pictures are from my veg side. i'm using a 76 site aero system with a 40 gallon res, hydroton, t5 lights, and straight lucas nutes @ 0-5-10 (800ppm@ .7) and h2o2 added per ozgrowa's formula.

the bugs were not visible two days ago. they are only on the roots. a few have climbed through the net pots onto the tops of my trays, but they die there, probably due to the hot shot strips i have hanging. in case the color is not clear, the fuckers are red to tan in hue. i've tentatively identified them as root aphids.

have i called it correctly? in two days, they have made short work of the hairs on my roots. what is the fix?

i've heard three things:

1. more peroxide (i'm sketchy on this, having already gotten burned this way once),

2. pyreth-it, 6% pyretherin, 60% piperonyl butoxide solution (from the guys at the hydro store who sell it for $600/gallon— have to consider the source),

3. and bayer merit (about which i know nothing).

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

ok. i think i've answered my own question. treated my res with 2.5ml/gallon of 35% h2o2 and 2ml/gallon of pyreth-it. in less than 24 hours, the aphids have all but disappeared. i'm going to leave that brew in my res until next nute change (middle of next week), and then replace it with a systemic (merit) just to keep the little bastards at bay.

NOTE: DO NOT GET PYRETHERIN AND PIPERONYL BUTOXIDE ON YOUR SKIN IF IT CAN BE AT ALL AVOIDED. I DID. THE TINGLE IN MY FINGERTIPS LETS ME KNOW IT'S WORKING. THE SUBSEQUENT NUMBNESS DOWN MY ARM LETS ME KNOW I AM PROBABLY FUCT FOR LIFE.

Hello everybody. I have a problem with plants for 3 weeks or so. First the fan leaves started yellowing and now also smallest one aren't the right colour. I tought it was nitrogen deficiency but 4 days ago I used a fertilizer but it didn't help. These plants are outdoor on 54 d. attitude. The soil is in two 50 L garbage bags. Now I think it's possible that I have a PH problem or are the roots overheated. They stop grow now it's 2 weeks.

How long has this problem been going on? Well for about 3 weeks.
What STRAIN are you growing? Nirvana PPP, Nirvana Aurora Indica, GHS Super critical.
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Seed.
What is the age of your plants? 4-5 months.
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? 3,5 months.
Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before? They were in very similar soil.
How Tall are the plants? 1+ meter.
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Vegetative.
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) /
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 1 plant per 50 L.
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) Well I used 3 years old cow poo mixed with 2 handful organic briquettes and 4 handful of perlit per plant.
What brand Nutrient's are you using?
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? When I saw they started yellowing I added 1/2 dosage of a vege nutrient. *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
How often are you feeding? Once
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? /
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) /
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?/
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? dont know.
How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS? i didn't.
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? /
How often are you watering? when the soil is quite dry.
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? My frst and last feeding was 4 days ago.
What size bulb are you using?/
How old is your bulbs?/
What is the distance to the canopy?/
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)/
What is the canopy temperature?/
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)/
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)/
Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?/
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?/
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? I think not.
Is your water HARD or SOFT? I think hard.
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? From pipe.
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen)
If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen)
Are you using water from a water softener? Dont know.
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No.
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No.
Are plant's infected with pest's? No
