Heres the issue with people for global warming....they are simply hearing and reading things from the mainstream media, im not saying its all bullshit but come on. Media is a business and is used by the owners of various outlets to make money. There is alot of money in this global warming issue. Grapeman is not a scientist but you have to give props to someone who doesn just follow the flock and actually takes time to listen to both sides and make his own personal opinion. But all the for GW people sit and attack him and say he wears a tinfoil hat because he doesnt readily believe everything he is told, saying he is regurgitating right wing blabber. Ala Please!! What do you on the other side of the fence think you are doing? Your just firing back with Al gores opinions, what makes you any different....its all donkeys and elephants and my reading of history tells me this GW reaks of money schemes...just ppl with access to media hyping something up to benefit their private interest such as carbon credits and green technology. If you think any politician Dem or Rep is trustworthy your a fool. Not to mention the fact that regardless of all of this nothing is being done on a signifiant level to prevent any damage to the environment . Just more regulations and taxes that further degrade our way of living. OMG electric cars no more oil not knowing all the coal thats burned to manufacture those cars let alone charge them every half day to drive to walmart and back to buy goods from chinese factories with little to no environmental safety controls...IMO i could give a shit less about GW because at the end of the day not me not you not anyone on this site is going to ever live a petroleum free lifestyle whether you like it or not. Sorry for the one large hard to read paragraph but it was post numero uno.

Its funny how everyone here thinks their opinion matters, and that someone who doesnt believe in global warming suddenly is some religious non science believer....global warming is a cult and it has been so perpetuated its sickening.

Just because a scientist has a degree does not make him smart...do any of you know how they go about getting this proof of GW? And you do know that scientists dont work for some place called Science Co. where they go and work and pick up their checks every other friday. Somebody pays for that research be it government or otherwise.

And to the person who said something about Docs(i dont care to remember who) even though they are very diff from scientists i wouldnt just take one docs word for it if they said i had such and such disease because i have seen plenty of horror stories of misdiagnosis on discovery health.

I am also so sick of people talking like us human beings are a disease to the planet. If you really cared you would kill yourself over a patch of soil and let the earth take its energy back. Also we are already experimenting with weather manipulation via radio waves and to quote most of you, a scientist has proved it so you cant deny it.(HAARP) oh wait my tinfoil hat is getting loose

There is money at the root of this... the petroleum companies want to make more money and spend less to "spill baby spill"... we would have to spend a considerable amount of time, money, and pride to change the way we use energy.

It sounds like you don't care enough to get off your ass and do something about it... (how very American of you )... but please don't expect to get everyone to bend over and take it.

Many of us don't have a problem acknowledging something and taking measures to remedy it. Greed and many bobbleheaded naysayers stand in the way.

If it makes you feel better i would love to drive a car made of hemp and run on hemp oil and get electricity from windmills and solar panels its just the tech isnt there in terms of replacing fossil fuels...and growing hemp for fuel as well as other things would never keep up with demand just like we cant run on ethanol because there just isnt enough to meet demand not to mention it jacks up corn prices

im not for sure whether or not this GW is real or not, and if it is its really up to the governments of the world to decide if any major change will happen to prevent it if at all

and who is to say that any change enacted would have any effect at all, because world populations of humans and (certain)animals are going up and we all know that those things breathe co2 out one end and fart methane gas out the other (wow we really are the disease)

Allow me to counter with the obvious: we have to use petroleum right now... so why don't we acknowledge it's not working out wonderfully and fix it.. before we run out of petroleum, time, or people that actually do give a shit.

The next to worst thing you can do is not care and give up immediately, go buy an SUV, and drive it the two blocks it would have done you some good to walk to buy plastic containers of empty calories that were shipped by diesel for hundreds of miles you'll never recycle...

we use petroleum right now...yes indeed....let me counter with the not so obvious
heres some alternatives...feel free to add your own

burning some type of renewable oil based fuel
such as:
Hemp Oil
Veggie Oil

forgive me if im wrong but the products of combustion (this is complete combustion not partial which can make co amongst other things) are water vapor(acidic) and CO2 which is if im not mistaken a GW gas

and no one has anything to say about humans breathing out C02 and farting methane? maybe im alone on this

or using electricity from solar and or wind which has no probability of keeping up with demand as of right now without packing them tightly together in large fields and then we still are the mercy of mother nature its not always (windy/sunny) everywhere all the time

so im naive and dont understand please enlighten me how real change is in our sights

DISCLAIMER: i recycle i like to do it....i encourage others to do so...i dont litter or drive suvs...i have a four cylinder manny and thats all i can afford or maybe id drive a prius..and i know you think im sum dumb redneck who hates the earth but this is not true, i do my own little part but beleive you me if there was something real and feasible for me to make the world a better place i would do it....just trying to get people to see all but one side of the fence

mjb, big oil has no science to back rogue claims that excessive c02 doesn't harm the atmosphere. The only reason we get fodder from the crap shooters is because executives understand that this can be turned into a regulation = bad scenario (for the uneducated public.)
