Doing IT outside, Geurilla style 2010

What strain is that Chronic don? Also how do you plant your seeds? Details please? just wondering.
Itmy own strain, climatized to work here. I call it Royal Purple (because of the royal purple flower HAIRS it has).
I usually soak them til they crack open, put them in peat pellets and a few days later when they pop up out of the pellet I put them into the ground. that way as soon as they grow a root it goes into the native soil. or I have also put unsoaked seed directly into the ground. or have planted in the fall after the ground cooled and was just about to freeze for winter. then as soon as soil warms in spring they'll come up as early as possible. but that I used for patches which I would see only then and at harvest (used for making oil). I guess it depends on your season, your plant, and how much youcan do with them thru out the season as to how to go about it.

Its been a cool thread mate, looking fwd to seeing you back indoors knee deep in coco over the winter. . . yeay!

Enjoy your spoils in the meantime. ;)

Cheers, Toke :)

cheers mate, indoors going well. selected a nice pheno from my sd x cj cross which im enjoying a lot and just growing out another run of.

Hey GM glad to see you got a harvest of nice bud mate... as u say this was only a trial run and I look forward to what you'll do next year with the knowledge of the spot u gained from this run.

I really like the look of the buds mate, frosty and that purple colouring is great

for a while i was not gonna do any outdoor this season, but in the end i am, just the best spots and 10 frisian dews, dug 5 holes and filled 3 so far. will let them get riper this year now that i know how well they do against mold.

looking great , glad you got it all in!

My frisian had been drying for 10 days now, time for a testnug to vape ;)

hope it was really good man

Awesome Gaius!

Yeah I am playing around with ideas about next years crosses aswell. It will be f2 for me now, and hopefully before I die I will have a personally adapted IBL. Luckily we have some time before next years season to consider the pros and cons of different strains that will adapt well to our local climate.

:artist:

Looking forward to more updates eventhough you probably are busy
testing now! :smoke:

:jump:

so sorry for the late reply. great to hear you are well prepared with seeds for this season. hope to share some pics this year again, hopefuly some trees this time :)

Do you have any idea of your soil temperatures in May verses July? This will make a difference on how fast the plants grow. I have seen plants just sit there in May and not grow very fast compared to plants planted at the end of June.

Congrats on your experiment. I would recommend from my expierence finding a spot with the MOST sun possible. This seems to be the biggest factor for me in getting the plants to X-large size.

yeah the new spots in the best area i found last time have all day sun, i'm extremely happy with the 5 holes that are ready so far. thanks for the good pointers man.

Hoo yes Gaiusmarius, beautiful purple colors,i like it very much....
Great job bro k+

thanks, but i have to admit it's the genetics that make these beautiful colors. not really my work, lol.

The snails? I hate them!! The best trap for them is BEER TRAPS- drunken slugs cant swim !:dance013:

in the end snails were not such a big problem for me. and i only lost plants in 1 particular area, which wasn't ideal anyway sunwise. but ill spread some snail pellets around the baby plants when i first plant them.

If you have nice local soil, if you live in a vulcanic zone like hawaii, guerrilla is exciting really hard and dangerous. Hard work sometimes not well payed.
sănătate pentru toţi

i'm glad to say it's not dangerous here, but also not really well paid. outdoor goes cheap here and is better used yourself for hash etc except for the best phenos lol.

thatwas was a nice little crop, goood harvest for what they had time to be. I read thru bits and pieces of this and I'd like to add some things. I find nothing bothers my outdoor plants after they are about 3-4 wks old. if a cow happens to bite one they spit it out as it is too bitter for them, deer too. moose love it. rabbits not a bother after wk 3-4. I use dog hair from a groomer, human hair from a baber shop, man hair rrrr rrrr, and make sure I have to piss when I am there. I use granular ferts from a farm source mixed to use for a hemp field. (a guy I knew used to work for a supply co and got the ratios needed for us to mix it) Slugs are not a big prob here, but if i do see many I use saucers of beer, or near empty beer cans on the side with drinking opening just below earth level. unless you get a real drought and the soil is totally dried dont bother to water them they will sink roots down to a ground water level, so maybe on top of a slope or hill isnt best, I use a bottom area 100 ft circle with FULL sun. yours were hidden and shaded lots, not good for big x-large buds and plants, the more direct sun the better. also think about planting your seeds directly into the ground, and not til the earth has warmed up. I find that planting too early in too cool of soil means they take longer to get going and plants grown by seed passes them.
heres what I get by mid sept usually when a killing frost ends my season.

I love what ya did, and will be checking into see how your new yr/season goes

thanks a lot for those tips, i learned so much from actually doing this first season. i have higher hopes for this year as things that i learned last time are all being implemented this time as well as the earlier start and proper soil being carried in and used in generous amounts.

enjoyed very much :D

thanks, glad you liked my training season in guerrilla growing. lets hope i can show you guys some proper sized trees this year.

the 10 in the top right corner are the outdoor Frisian Dew, very good seeds, again all popped. i really should make some seeds this season so don't have to buy next year.

anyway peace out y'all :kos:

have decided to only use the easier to get to spot wth the best sunshine this year. i just can't face climbing up that cliff again with all the soil etc. basically i'm using the best area from last year and spreading the plants around there a bit. lugged in universal soil from supermarket, perlit, wormcastings and bat guano. wanted to add some plagron super bio mix, but the store i went to didn't have it.

Good luck with them Gaius

thanks bro, how's your new season getting along? should be a lot of fun with all the beans you made. lets hope my FD really grows this time.

nice thing about area im using is you can drive the soil etc right up close if your fast and lucky. your not supposed to drive on this forest track, but it's very quite so no one around to see you, specially over the lunch hour.

peace out

i do all the scary stuff at 1am -2am when the whole town is very quiet ... dump the stuff in the bushes then we park up and walk down and retrieve said items and then proceed to the site with dimmed torches .... all very covert ... i planted out some today that were left there last night but i think the deer are getting used to me being around that isn't good ,
I had to throw stones at them today to get them to piss off as they were getting nearer and nearer, i want them to be scared of me so they dont sniff about the plants.

im getting a little freaked that they wont make it to the end.

You seem well prepared this year Gaius

Sure you must make seeds. Its more fun then Sensi in many ways. Also, If you have many seeds you can trade with other Outdoor growers:yes::ying::D.

Good luck this year. I am sure it will be great. I will be right here watching you.........

Peace out champ!

bow and arrow dude, makes them real scared plus puts meat on the table.
oh my experiience says that after the plants are 3+ wks old they become too bitter for deer to eat. cover them with a wire cage or such maybe if you dont want fresh meat on the table

Just want to mention that in a high wildlife density area I had deer loss several months into growth. I guess its possible it was elk though. Or even moose. Definitely not rabbit though since the stem looked "clipped" as opposed to "gnawed". Nothing worth ripping on it either. And chicken wired plants were untouched.
