Hope your season is looking good. Whoa!!! 58 big posts....and you bless me with one....nice to see you again. Look forward to your next post, next year.

You were right....Rodney wasn't getting enough respect. The hole she's in gets the AM sun first. It's where I pulled the giant from last year. Dude...you whined...I gave her front row center....after Weez's sucess and praise...I have faith. :dance013:

Rename Rodney? Dude...are you so high... I refer you to Oldhaoles Growing Rules Sec 4, Subsection 6, Lines 8-12. :blowbubbles:

8) the name of the strain shall always be given by the original breeder. (that's you)
9) once the strain is refered to in writing three (3) times by said breeder, the strain is forever more refered to by that name.
10) any second party (that's me) cultivating the said strain is honor bound uummm...sorry I just vomited tiny bit...to refer to said strain by the Breeders name given to said strain.

See? In writing...your fucked...Rodney....you named it.

Gotta stay on that fine print...bite you in the ass every time.

So even if I wanted to....It's right there in the rules.

And I wonder why you don't post here much. I hope you know I'm just messing with you. I have time to kill, and I amuse easily.

Now I wait for Weez's two cents...should be good.

Why didn't you add when the seed was found, the heavens opened up and the angels sang songs of praise...relax...it's gonna be what it's gonna be...

Last night we had a soft rain all night. Got a little less than an inch.
Pretty much the whole week we have been under the clouds. Spring started early, and summer looks to be late.

Green Harvest flew this week. They have changed tactics . Instead of the big show (three or four choppers in one area) they are flying single birds to many different areas. Will it be more or less effective? I have no idea.

This is the second one this season. Last one ended 4/12...this one 5/13....notice a pattern? Last year they did almost the same thing. One every month....until August where they got smart and flew two that month. Caught a lot of people with their pants down. Betcha they try it again.

They did a quick circle around the area... The culling of the extra girls was done at the right time. All the starts were stashed, even the clones. I was as close to legal as I'm going to get.

Now they've flown we should have four weeks of peace and quiet. I went down tonight, cut all my zipties off, and begin the process of "defriending" each couple. At the rate they are growing they will pass my cover in a couple of months. So I'm going to have to pull some over. Looks like I'm going to have to build bamboo cages too.

Change is comming.
The bottom girls no longer look like this.
The third pic is a single. It's friend had some stem rot. So I took her out. Remember, you can cut a plant in seconds. But to replace that girl will take three months. Better to have an extra...just in case.
The fourth pic is last years girl in the same hole. This time around I can do better.

I think this is the only advantage of the short season here in CO,.... I've got a much better start than I did last year, but she's certainly NOT gonna be blasting past my cover!

Only 6" tall and just now getting hardened off to outdoors! :D

I'm holding off for a few more weeks before starting my guerrilla grow,..... There's no way in hell it's gonna go off, and I'm not gonna be able to pull shit if it does, but fuck it. Beans need to be planted! :dance013:

Well Cani your ahead of me, the damn weather here is messed up. Way to much rain and one day its 90 and the next 60 degrees. Plus it seems like a cant get my seeds up? But a lot has to do with the cold, because i would always start them outside. Sucks cuz now im getting low on the seeds and only got a few from last year as the guy near me didn't pull his males in time. He gave me a few i really didn't want.

But i have 4 in the tent re vegging to hide out back. Im sure il get ripped, but these will be in a different spot and much smaller. My plan is to put one in the same area so they can take it, the will never find these re veg's. They are Gordy's Spice #18 a Haze or Indica strain so il get clones for a scrog in the tent. My last grow was weak, but first run in the tent with the LED's. The scrog will give me a yield, im thinking:dance013:

OH, ya have a look at the forest of green you set free a couple months ago lately? I know not many were found and kids had found them, but didn't you say that some might have made it past them? And some could have taken their time to pop, you might see if there is a few late ones out there. If ya have time:laughing: Just hate for a monster out there to have been missed.

Peace,

With Green Harvest done for a few weeks, it's time to get off my ass and get to work. I have a month to turn these plants into large masses of green.

The bottom garden was going to grow past my cover. The last thing I need is for these to be sticking out above the hedge waving hello at the world. So I have to shrink a few feet off the top.

Told you things were changing....and they sure did. I've pulled everything over and staked them out. I will be using almost the same technique I use on the regrows, just without an early bud cycle. I won't top them, but I will use every trick in the book to bush them out. Hope this works.

Unlike last year where I was reactive, this time I'm looking proactive.
All my bamboo supports are in place, and all I need are the zipties for the crossmembers. The almost seven ft plants are now down closer to four ft. Thinking more lateraly this month.

I know they look ugly at this stage...it's only been a day since the change. But this will get the bottoms into the sun, and should increase my yield. I'm leaving one upright, in the tree form, as a control in the bottom right corner of the garden.

When I tie up a plant I use 50 lb test fishing line, But where the line touches anything alive I put the line through a 1/4 in drip line. This way the line doesn't bite, or cut into the branch.

With a frame I can brace any branch, any number of times, from different angles, and lock it in to where I want it. When the girl buds, those stems need to support its own weight, and whatever water weight and wind force nature will throw at them. It is not uncommon for a hard rain to peel heavy budded branches off the stem and into the mud.

My first impression after I pulled everything over was "What have I done? This looks like shit." The next day everything starts to reorient itself, and today they are recovering.

Canni.... Getting them big this year huh? You don't do too bad for yourself inside though. Give them a shot. You may get some gravy out of this deal.

Grey...I like the angels comming down with the golden tray....very nice touch. From now on can we do it that way? Please make the necessary calls and set it up. I'm sure you have more pull in that dept. than I.

LSY....We never went back down the gulch again.

Whenever kids are involved...lose money....we had no chance of anything getting past them. Strangly enough they may have had enough rain to keep them alive this year. Besides, they were hauling water, so they were willing to work...and if they didn't rip each other off...they may have gotten a harvest out of the deal....they could be the start of the next generation of growers....our replacements. :)

If I could send you some decent weather I would. I would consider using your old holes from last year. You know if that would work better than I.

Now for the pics...
Pic 1, 2, & 3....bottom girls day after the bend over.
Pic 4....this regrow is taking it's own sweet time to regrow. Yank her. Put a Holy Headband there.
Pic 5....LSY's Regrow. All framed out, waiting for her to grow into the frame. Come on regrow!
Pic 6....The Jack triple. Now 5 ft tall. This one is going to be nice.

i might have actually heard that story from a friend on Maui before...al i do when i go over there is sit down, smoke, eat, smoke, talk stories all day, smoke, jump in da watah, den smoke again :D

things still looking good over there brother, i think the guy i am helping with him and GF's medical grow is getting nervous :D

he got the plants large enough that they are starting to take off, we put them (6 so far) in big trash cans...the other 8 will be smaller but are sexing...regardless, they too will get big :)

he's getting a little nervous, so i told him instead of 10-15 monsters, we can pull the branches down and do what you just stated, more of a lateral grow....his lot is etremely neighborly, so he although legal, he still is nervous :) i told him he gotta sleep in the yard with his pitbulls starting late august :D

i think we are just going to twist, snap, bend them into place where we want them, and maybe even tilt the cans....we see, anyhow, things are starting to go off right now, should be interesting :)

nice greyskull, good to see you getting that OG...i have run a few in my area before, including many crosses, and they tend to get mold at the end outdo, but indo, magnificient :) nice phat nugs of tasty tasty tastys :)

i lost all my OGs but kept some crosses...i've let a lot of stuff go over the years.

i can't wait to get some good outdo here, i have had some good stuff, but i have run my seed crosses in the past, and for the most part, i know i am a snob, but i just really miss my own shit since dropping out of the game :D

aloha brothers, you guys take care and be safe!! a hui hou!

Whatsis and LSY,

I found a few "volunteers" (7) this spring....just after a night at 28* and then two nights around 20*. Yeah a few were protected by snow...but then two were/are under an eve w/ no protection. Point is: They can take more than you think.

Try this: Put seeds in a pot...(in the ground if you want to move them later on) and for thermal protection. When they germ outdoors...they grow up pretty tough (not fast when it's freezing overnight) but rooted, hardened, and ready to rock when things warm up.

Oldhole, I believe the rules that you quoted were from the Humboldt rule book from like 1971 or something....dude, the times they have changed. :D

Thanks HMR I've known that it'll germ well before the last frost outdoors, a friend had it growing wild in her backyard from bagseeds for about 4 years before she decided to cull the random shit and grow some good genetics.

I'm in the middle of suburbia, but there's some fields that are still wild and no one would dream of going there, cept for bums or potheads. A full season plant would blow cover quickly, tho if planted late it wouldnt get tall enough to break cover, not much yield, but if several plants make it past the ripps it might not be too bad.

No...not those dreaded potheads!

''If I could send you some decent weather I would. I would consider using your old holes from last year. You know if that would work better than I.''

Thanks OH, got some nice weather today so il be digging some holes! I have one plant in re veg now and one trying. As far as using my same holes will be used for thieves. I know they will be back so il put one in a old hole for them to take. I have found new places for these re veg's as they will be smaller then the monsters last year. Plus im going to root a few clones to put out for small cola like yields. Im thinking if i just strip all bottom growth, the plant will give me the colas i want. Sure will not see the monsters like last year, but quality will be 2x better. But these plants are very indica so will see what happens.

Plus i have some Haze i want to put out. The stress about killed me last year. With choppers that flew right over my grow 3 x really freaked me out. I think keeping smaller plants, but as many as i can get in the ground might make up a bit for yield and my nerves. And i plan to scrog up my tent with 8 plants, which will give me a much better result then my first run.

I have Purple Haze popped, Purple Widow, Gordy's Spice #18 are re vegging now and a strain gifted that im sworn not to divulge the strain or gifter. He didn't want to get into trouble on the other site, but way killer indica im sure Weez as seen it and maybe more people from that other site.

Grew out one this winter and was the best pain relief iv ever got from a strain. The Purple x Widow i think will be the scrog and i hope a few clones, just to see what they do out? But im worried about time with them, i think the WW goes 12 weeks, so lets hope it carries the Purple genetics. But havent looked up the Purple flower time yet.

So OH only 1 re veg? Why not all of them or is that a nature thing to determine there?

Peace Bro's

A Day Late....A Dollar Shy...the story of my life

A Day Late....A Dollar Shy...the story of my life

Hawaiian. How you be?

Funny...Thats all I do too when I visit BI...ask Weez.

Your first year of legal can be stressful. Many years conditioned to be Illegal, you get a little Blue card...and everything changes. Except every time they fly, your still conditioned to freak out. Soon they will be waving at them as they fly by.

It takes some time, but they will get used to being legal.

Wait until they are a couple of weeks away from harvest...Then he'll have something to be nervous about. That last month can get hairy.

Headiez...he wasn't waiting for us. He was giving tickets. But it felt real good to have a locked gate between us. We did have to go find a new spot to cross the road.

Horseman...So? I work with old rules? A lot of these pups growing today weren't even born back then. Don't worry...I know you were about 40 in 1971. You know those rules as well as I. Rodney stays Rodney.

Now I know why you play shitty golf. If I could I'd even send you some decent weather. You expect any summer this year?

Thermal protection...what's that?

Canni....bums and potheads? Like me, I bet you fit both of those descriptions. Please don't feed HRM.

And HRM....adding the BI to your places you need to stay away from has severly limited your next Hawaiian vacation. As I see it the only islands you have left to visit is Oahu...Or Ko'oholawe.

I suggest the last one....no potheads there.

Grey...Puk Sup has the best chile chicken. You knew that. Headband has been planted.

Plants? Oh shit...I need to say somthing about them...

All my frames have been built. All the bottom girls have been pulled down and tied over. This slows the top growth down, but opens the bottom branches up. As the branches get taller I will pull them down and tie them in place. The object is to occupy as much space as I can claim.

We've been having wet afternoons, but the trades are starting to crank, which gives us full on sunny days. So summer is almost here. Lahina noon is comming up. The sun will be directly overhead. 5/24 at 12:22.

The obligitory shitty pics...
Pic 1) Rodnette
Pic 2) Headband
The rest of the pics are of the completed framed out bottom garden.

LSY... as I was typing this out your reply came in.

Glad to hear your back at it. Sounds like you have a plan. I'd love to see you run a rip free year.

Why am I only running one regrow?

It's a long story. I won't bore you with it. Short version is that I want to try something new.

Will I regret it? Ask me in November.

as for me, just hoping to get some good herb.
