China Could Easily Own World With Their $3 Trillion

That Japanese comparo was during a different time. It was about a year ago I read about India going against China for some oil resources and China mostly won.

Anyone noticing the increased coverage on Chinese spying? They'd just assume steal it instead of buy it. I was working on my own project offering a unique agriculture product and made contact with an American who'd been living in China for many years. He was connected with someone associated with a government investment fund. All of a sudden weird questions. Long story short he basically told me I should expect the technology to leak out and be copied but that was a good thing. I told him F off. I've also dealt with exporting stuff to China and it's messed up meaning a very corrupt system.

They put out some doctrine not too long ago where they talked about unconventional warfare which included financial. Who do you think hacked Google? It's all state sponsored.

For natty gas export I'd look at CHK or LNG. Both are building export facilities but either in MD or LA. I made some good $ on LNG call options a few months back.

On my pos iPhone trying to deal with posting on a very bad site in that regard...lol...ultimately China will have to promote internal consumption.

I agree the dollar is tumbling.. eventually the day of reckoning will arrive when the dollar is no longer the world's reserve currency. I wonder how the people of wal mart will deal with the crisis when their welfare check stays they same but the cost of goods increases exponentially. The Fed way overspent and the States are bankrupt and that is what will be the end of the dollar.

btw China is using all those soon to be devalued dollars to buy EVERYTHING UP already..

fail to plan, plan to fail

China is maneuvering out of the dollar already. They see the writing on the wall.

Bernanke on the other hand.

I read a post (on a financial website) from a guy who lives and works in China. He said that bigtime inflation will start to hit the US mid/late summer. He bases this on price increases he sees being passed on now by Chinese manufacturers which will hit the US in a few months.

Japan tried this in the '80's. How'd that work out for them?

Can't be done.

i believe China will have the benefit of the history of the Japanese experience
and that was going on a spending binge in the US isn't the best use of your money
China seems to be taking a bigger world view, broader base of investment
which might not be all negative, their current behavior has something to be desired, but behavior can change - especially when it becomes in your interest to do so

I agree that China will learn from what Japan did and also they are taking a bigger world view. I think China will take a different approach. For one they are a sinister bunch IMO/IME and will do certain things the Japanese would probably never consider. In talking to the guy I mentioned before in China after some conversations I realized how warped some things are there. NO honor like the Japanese. I also deal with some peeps in Japan and totally different.

China's got some significant internal inflation issues of their own right now in addition to dealing global things such as rising oil and iron prices.

I don't know that China's goal is to ultimately own the US. For one all they need to do is wait a while longer for the US financial system to tank and if they do want something they can buy assets at fire sale prices maybe.

no argument with your points, there are reasons to be wary
and plenty of problems in China, things could go south fast
but there are big counter weights, India, Japan, South, Korea, Taiwan, all have their suspicions, add their resources together, and China isn't quite as dominant
there is one historical aspect which is a positive, China has not been historically an expansionist country
not saying they couldn't be, but history counts for something
they've shown little appetite in deploying soldiers in UN operations(which would be good military experience)

They haven't been very imperialistic in modern era, but pre-communism way back to the Dynasty era they had regional imperial goals.

They have always been very wary and suspicious of outside countries and influence. This continues today with how insular they are as evidence.

When they do fight they are known to be particularity brutal. The Rape of Nanking is still in the minds of the Japanese.

that was the Japanese who did the raping, at least in that particular episode
the Chinese remember that one real clear
but as you say, they were very Empire building in their region
at the time, they considered the outer lands to be worthless and barbaric, and that part has likely changed to some extent

I briefly mentioned this before but the Chinese are planning to use any possible option including financial. The document is titled Unrestricted Warfare but here's a linker...

http://cryptome.sabotage.org/cuw.htm

The pdf version is 228 pages and may make for some interesting bathroom reading.

I also vaguely remember some snippet about what some high up US military official said about some command center they built and the dude said it's for a war with China.

Basically in the 1400s China was the major world power.

China was already enormous at that time in terms of people and land.

In my opinion China's influence will continue spread to its neighbors.

I certainly agree that china has a more global view then japan did when it comes to investing their money.

Actually, they are investing heavily in raw materials and energy. while the U.S., under several presidential leaders, are too concerned with politically correct investments and bullshit green energy. It is that wayward policy that will be our downfall. We'll be putting round in golf carts while china uses the cheap energy that is oil due to this idiot of a president.

But I'll still wager on the US. When our population gets their stomach full of idiotic and corrupt politicians (al gore and his crowd) we will do a abrupt about face. When that happens, no one in the world can match the ingenuity and work of the US.

And, china has their own problems that will be surfacing within the next 5 years. Our problems can be resolved with a simple election, when our populace gets pissed enough. sorta like last november only better.
