qwiso came out like rock hard red candy, second batch is golden amber rock hard....yeaaah!!!!

next batch will be one gallon of iso and a lot of good trim

only thing makes it difficult is handling, but seems experience brings wisdom there

It is interesting how the different processes produce different results. ISO produces a much stiffer and reder oil than EtOh and extracts much faster.

interesting, yeah the red batch was rock hard the instant you took it off the pyrex, while the amber is more gooey and like melting rocks made of mollases...if that makes sense...although it is now being stored in the fridge and becomes very brittle in there after a half hour or so. wish there was a camera ;(

do u think there is and if there was any iso residue left in the rocks that it would evap just by being out?

thkns

Any residue will continue to evaporate, but not very fast in a solid condition. It would do it faster if the oil were melted.

interesting, yeah it has a slight alchahol smell when i open the jar after its been in the fridge perhaps ill leave it out a bit

hi everyone,
graywolf, gota question if you dont mind.
when isomerizing what is the black precipitate that falls to bottom of flask and sticks to flask within minutes of adding the sulf acid?
the solvent is hexane with about 10g of hexane extracted oil.

the black/green precip was easily redisolved in denatured alcohol after solution was poured off.
is it worth re-extracting with haxane and adding back into the hex solution being isomerized? that needs to be placed back in flask for another 2hrs of refluxing, gave it 2hrs already.
or should it be reextracted and cleaned up by its self?
or is this stuff complete garbage?
thanks bro:wave:

Damn I hate it when I get confused answering threads and post on the wrong thread. Must be time for a safety break!

How much easier might it be, if we limited ourselves to the narrow universe of those pitting us against one another, and fall in lock step with their egotistical bullshit?

How many of ya'll are similarly appaled that a self serving miscreant can continue to divide our group, by mentally masturbating in public and throwing out unsupported and asinine statements?

How many of ya'll think it has gone far enough, and like myself, will no longer post on either of these threads, because of the egregeous waste of time and bandwidth?

cool, so isomerizing also cleans the oil up abit.
thanks bro
and yes I sorta feel the same way about these two threads, dont really give a crap about the op, just doin my thing.....its easy to get caught up in the bs I know how you feel. bottom line is at some point you have to move on, cant win a fight if the person your fighting enjoys the fight...

I lied! One last post.

Moderator, will you please close this thread, as it served it's purpose to provide alternatives to posting on an extremely provocative, now banned "Let's fight amongst ourselves" thread!

Thanks for paying attention and ya'lls support in helping us to rise above the challenge!

Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
