Temps got into the low 80's last night with the tent closed.

Since I'm going to run 12/12 straight through most of my grows, I'm not to worried about the temps. Still debating wether to run the lights at night this summer or just say Fuck it and go during the day.

But, I am absolutely looking into a water chiller. I'm way to busy to float any Ice in the Rez and I don't want to get root problems because of one or two hot days....

Hmmmmm, now, which one to get??? Time for some research.

Right now, with the tent open and the room sealed with A/C on, I'm at 70 Degrees. Thats really nice.

I'm thinking I'll panda plastic my window (so the Neighbors cant see), and leave the tent doors open but grow room sealed and run the lights at night. My little A/C will appreciate the cool night air because I don't think she'd make a difference at all if it were 100 degrees out.

Okay... Now it's time to research that chiller.

All of the plants are starting to drop roots into the buckets. I got the Float Valve 1/2 inch fitting today and completed the setup of the reservoir.

Everything is looking good, I've been running the ballast at 60% and once all of the clones have roots in the buckets I'm going to crank it to 100% and hit the switch, I'm done waiting. I want to harvest and then finish the 12 bucket system and completely dial it in.

On a Side note, I stopped using advanced nutrients. The waterfarm with advance required the most maintenance and ended up looking small and weak, with root issues. I'm sure it's because I'm not a hydro pro, but who wants additional problems. The lucas formula plants are flourishing. I'm now running a simple formula in my Res and in the waterfarms.

1 Tsp Maxibloom per gallon
2ml Silica Blast per gallon
3ml 30% H202 per Gallon

I occasionally foliar feed with B-52 from Advanced, and if I need to I have some Sea Cal and Sea Mag from Humboldt that I can Foliar feed with if I need to.

For bloom I'll be adding liquid kool bloom and then powdered kool bloom, and probably some overdrive by advanced.

For the soil, I switched to lucas formula and all of my deficiencies are gone, growth is exploding and I'm excited.

From Now on, I'm going to run Lucas and occasionally experiment with additives.

Wow, the largest plant drank almost 2 gallons of water in one day..... I couldn't believe how low the water level was.... Can't wait until all 12 are in the RDWC and I don't have to constantly mix nutrients and check water levels.

None of those girls look large enough to go thru THAT much water in a day!

So either she's sweating it off thru her leaves, or there's a leak.

My GraftoMum pulls down about .5 gal a day,.... she's a bush about 1.5'x 2' x1'

I'll start a thread on her some day :

lol.... Well, it's not exact... and the rootmass is huge.

The largest is in the middle, in a waterfarm, isolated by itself and has absolutely no leaks.

It usually holds about 2 gallons and maybe a little less because of the roots....

and by one day, I mean yesterday morning till tonight.... so about 36 hours.

Also, take into consideration it's a little dry and the three waterfarms are not on a timer so they are all running water 24/7 and the water can evaporate as well under the HPS... especially the one in the center.....

What I was really getting at, was how much of a pain constantly filling these waterfarms can be instead of my new RDWC

It was almost empty tonight..... crazy.

Oh, and I ordered the water chiller.... 1/10 horsepower small little guy should do the job on my small system just fine.

Got some Panda Plastic today from a friend and I'm going to cover the window.

WOOOO. I love this new setup, I find myself just smoking a bowl and wandering out there.. lol

So the Res is open to evaporation, gotcha. Again, why I don't mess with Hydro, my whole garden would be nixed by now!:

Not sure if you mentioned this but how much did you pay for the chiller?
Looks awesome. Need to figure out how to keep my aero res temps down.

Well... There was two brands...

I forget the brand of the first one... but it was much cheaper.... less than $300.... but was out of stock... and was taking to long.

I opted for the EcoPlus 1/10 horsepower chiller because it can cool 35 gallons up to 30 Degrees... and 100 Gallons up to 10 Degrees... for me, with max 45 gallons or so, this was perfect.

At 2.5 amps it barely draws power.

I paid $368 with a 15% discount and got it the next day from my local hydro shop.

If they had the other one available, I would have opted for that, for under $300.

PH - Check
PPM/EC - Check
Water Temps - Check

Massive Fucking Yield - You better Believe it! Can't wait to see this one finish...

Although I'm not going to really take the GPW into consideration because of the two soil and the variety of plant sizes... I will be calculating the size and production of the smallest clones to see exactly how long I want to veg for the First Real Deal 12 Bucket run coming up next.

This "Practice" round will help alot... I'm soooo excited for the next run after it's all dialed in.
