Miles of under ground storm drains in Las Vegas are full of homeless.
What happens when it rains?

The power elites are going for $6 a gallon gas, and I'm betting it will get dam close, just wait and see.
the 70s were so much worse

when has the US ever been a "super power" ???
nation built on debt ---- How you get there (super power) isn't completely relevant
no one can afford housing ----- not true. most of those people choose not to. Few actually can't.
bad school system ----- bad compared to the best? possibly. But generally bad? No.
corrupt goverment ---- at times it has been too much yes, but any and all governments will have a corrupted factor. Americans are working on this as we speak.
everything made in the US is crap quality ---- that just is not true at all.
both parents working full time ---- yeah I don't like this one. But I don't see what it has to do with being a super power.
higher education is worthless ---- LOLOLOL..
sorry, but that comment is just so funny. You're joking right?
low ranked health care system ---- are you talking about medicare/medicade or talking about our practices in medicine in general? I can agree with you on the first one, but not if you mean our general practices.
tax money completely wasted ---- Completely? not so much. Way too much though yes.
you know what the problem with americans is? they act like there number one, and there far from it. How many Americans have you met? Sounds like you watch too much tv.

I also love when people talk of gallons, while Europeans talk of liters, but you don't hear them bitching all day over gas, I guess it just shows what occupies the american mind
for the original question ,I think I answered it, no? US has never been ok, and never will be ok, until greed turns to harmony.. I think in this situation we are talking about worse getting worse ?

nation built on debt ---- How you get there (super power) isn't completely relevant Is that the same as saying "deficits don't matter"?
no one can afford housing ----- not true. most of those people choose not to. Few actually can't. Actually, we had an entire industry dedicated to sub prime lending. Even folks that otherwise qualified for fixed rate mortgages were steered toward sub prime.
bad school system ----- bad compared to the best? possibly. But generally bad? No. We continue to sink in math and science when compared to other developed countries.
corrupt goverment ---- at times it has been too much yes, but any and all governments will have a corrupted factor. Americans are working on this as we speak. Yup, we'll always have corrupt peeps. Keeping them out of elected office is key.
everything made in the US is crap quality ---- that just is not true at all. Yup, superficial moanings and groanings don't help much.

sorry, but that comment is just so funny. You're joking right? Too bad that 12 for-profit universities are testifying before congress over profits before education.
low ranked health care system ---- are you talking about medicare/medicade or talking about our practices in medicine in general? I can agree with you on the first one, but not if you mean our general practices. We're#37 on WHO's list of developed countries.

She might be a bitch, but she's our bitch.

Way too much though yes. IMO, we have far too many special interests that lobby to thwart having to pay taxes.
