Ur Favorite Beer?

Using oak to age beer is unheard of. But, the flavours imparted by the oak barrels (previously used to mature bourbon) lend an incredible depth of
taste. Think vanilla, toffee and orange aromas, with a malty,
lightly oaked palate; soothing and warm in the finish.

The stuff is delicious, full of flavors and it has body without being heavy and a great after taste
Some might say it's pricey but @ e4.89 for a 750ml bottle of really nice beer it seemed worth trying, I'm glad I did :)

Actually, there are quite a few oak barrel aged beers out there. Some better than others. My preference is beers that are aged in wine barrels rather than buron barrels.. it's more subtle and less dominant.

I started drinking bourbon after drinking some of the bourbon barrel aged beers. I guess the bourbon barrel beers made by palate more receptive bourbon. Some of them do have a pretty strong bourbon flavors.

Yeah!^

My favorite Bourbon right now is Jefferson's Reserve. I just finished a bottle of the President's Select.

One of the great things about bourbon is that the lack of widespread snob appeal makes it affordable relative to European spirits.

Heinekens are awesome after a long day at work. Smells and sometimes taste like dank herb. I used to love it when I did drink.

Overall though, the weaker breweries in Michigan are better than the best breweries in Colorado, IMHO.
What have you tried?
Colorado has a kick-ass microbrew/brewpub scene, maybe you just need to get out and look harder.

Or are we only talking about 'bottled/canned' beer.

samual adamns latitude 48 IPA.....hopy to my delight

"The beer is dry hopped with Ahtanum, Simcoe®*, and East Kent Goldings hops for a powerful citrus and earthy aroma. The hop character is balanced by a slight sweetness and full body from the malt blend"

to me it dosent taste citrusy, which I don;t like in my beer. It dose taste like you took a handful of hops and squeezed the bitter juices right into your mug AHH so refreshing.....Im drinking sam adams holiday porter right now, I wanted to find a good American beer since I was snobbing brands from other country. I think sam adams is my favorite beer company.

I'm not the biggest Sam Adams fan, but the Latitude 48 is seriously dank.

Further, they just released a variety pack called "Latitude 48 Deconstructed" that comes with 2 bottles of the regular Latitude 48, then 2 bottles of 5 different beers, each kind made with just 1 of the hops that makes up the regular kind.

Hey Mr.Bongjangles, I just tried the Latitude 48 yesterday and tonight, not a bad IPA at all, definitely has that dank hop flavor. Haven't tried the De constructed box but it sounds killer. Letting you know another Latitude 48 drinker is out there.

There's so many good micros now it's hard to say, but you would be hard pressed to find a better built beer than Sam Adams in most all it's forms. These guys know what they're doing and they do it well.

One beer I miss from living in Oregon years ago was Henry Winehard's IPA. Cheaper than water but surprisingly full bodied and flavorful for any beer, much less a bargain basement priced beer.
I guess they got bought out and relabled as I haven't seen it for years. I watered a good portion of the north side of the Siskiyou's with Henry's and I miss them both.

Lol,
I'd kill for one of Rosita's homemade carnitas burritos right now...

Happy Cinco de Mayo.

It saddens me that on a ganja growers forum, so many growers who take pride in quality know nothing of quality beer.

Any beer advocate members?
