Hi Shrews and Avalon,,,,,,,,,,,,yup about a ft and a half. I wish I had the time to fuck around AND bring the bulbs between the MOTHER plants. Hell we havent even gotten the welders goggles yet.

I have a space that 4 ft x 12 ft. I want o do a 4x600 vertical in it. Do you think it is wide enough? Or would it make more sense to stay horizontal in it because i have tall ceilings?

So you can do horizontal with 4 600's and a nice clean floor and 2 weeks of vegg and 20 to 30 plants. My neighbor does it with 4 1000 watters and gets 6 pds with that size room. The trick when you go to water is to move the plants around and then put them back. That is how you deal with the lack of space and it is the most efficient use of floor space. It just sounds like too small of a spot to do a vertical. Possible? Yes if this grow is for personal smoke but if you want some pds and wanna step it up a bit and your good at venting lights then I would do 4 1000 watt lights horizontal but only if your gonna do it right and be able to control the heat.

securityfirst, awesome grow btw. I am amazed at the way you had your vertical room set up with plants everywhere!! I wanted to ask you about flowering in the 12k room. Were the lights actually lower to be closer to the plants and you raised for picture purposes? If they were where the picture was, wouldn't a horizontal 12k have affected the canopy better with your lay out of the plants? I have a decent size room 18' x34' and want to go vertical but dont know how to make it work. KNowing what you know now, would you go horizontal on a room this size or stick to vert?
