I didn't get the clone from Harborside. We vend our Headband to them. So in the display case. There is Original Headband and that is the herb we have vended to them.

This cut came from up north somewhere. The people my friends got it from had been growing it for a while before that. I've never given it out to anyone. Gave a cut to KrunchBubble but it died on him.

I'm thinking about starting to pass it out to my friends as I don't really care to cash crop it. I've already given it to one friend, but it's been nothing but a pain in his garden.

If you have any pics I'd love to see it. I can take a pic of mine in Veg if you like.

The 707 is nothing like this one. It's all sour and not funky like this one at all. My friends had it. I called it wasteband. I'd rather grow sour all day.

Can you give me some backstory on what exactly makes Loompa's Headband...Loompas Headband?

as far as the name, the cut was already named headband when Loompa rec'd it from some growers in norcal, and he>>Loompa is the one who sourced it and holds it and being "online" it just became known as Loompa's headband...to keep it's distinction from the other "headband" cuts that have been, and are still around

i've also heard it called "candy kush"..but never heard Loompa call it by that name.
the cut is actually an old OG kush ...but easily the best OG i've tried

Right on man.

Looks almost exactly like mine. I have always felt that it was some sort of OG Kush. I have never actually seen any OG Kush, surprising as I'm on the west coast. At least not from someone I know and trust. Most of my friends out here are Sour obsessed.

On ours every single branch needs to be staked up or it will all fall over. Looks like you had it pretty chunky.

The one thing I noticed is that it doesn't look like it will be much final weight while growing or even drying. A pound looks like almost a half pound of anything else. The smell is out of control. The taste lingers. If I burp half an hour later I can taste it.

Interesting about the Candy Kush. I've heard that mentioned as well, although I didn't know if it was pertaining to this. Someone asked me if I'd ever seen the Candy Kush. I'd never even heard of it before.

The trimming is super easy with this one. Very little extraneous leaf.

It's a beauty for sure. Have you passed it around at all?

I'll be flowering some out this next run and will definitely share a few pics for you. I've been wanting others opinions, but no one outside of my immediate circle or the club has seen this from me.

That is OG Kush in your picture. I grow that too. I probably have pictures of in in my albums on here. Our cut of OG Kush also came from Honeydew, Humboldt Cali. I love Our OG cut. Its lemony wonderful, powerful, and certainly some of the best on Our planet.
The Headband is different though. It may be a bit more incence-spice, but still has the lemon sweet cookie flavor. Its actually a different cross. Think its OG Kush X Master Kush X Sour Diesel.

I make a smoke mixture called "Spine Tingler" It has OG Kush bud, Headband kief, Sour Diesel kief, and GDP Kief. Its the strongest thing Ive ever smoked in 42 years

You do have a point but not sharing your fire cuts is also a great way to lose a strain. If you are holding some crazy fire cut and literally the only person that has it I think it's almost a duty to give it to at least one trusted grower. I have avoided losing so many great cuts because I gifted them to a friend and was able to get it back from them. Its like instant karma.

I did make a few seeds with the dog family this winter. I did Headband/Mango Haze, Headband/Nevilles Haze, Headband/Oaxacan, LA Confidential/(Mango,Nevilles,Oaxacan), and LA Confidential/ Orange Kush x Salmon Creek BBx Mexican.
Probably something good in there somewhere

Smoked some Adam's Apple in Amsterdam back in '00. Not sure if it has anything to do with the Green Apple, but it had a very distinct green apple flavor that I haven't had before or since.

Speaking of fruity strains, a couple people mentioned the Tange, Or Sweet Tang, or Tangerine.. Used to have a cut that went by all those names but was actually called The Who. The guys that had it wouldn't even tell you the real name until they gave it to you.. Eventually got out but went back to hoarded status.
Anyway, lost it.. But it had the sweetest true tangerine flavor, and the kindest, happiest high. The shit was never devastating, but was never meant to be.
If anyone can confirm that we're talking about the same thing, I'll be happy. Cus I know its out there in So Cal (what's up SD ???), prob CO too from the sound of it.

Nothing can touch the real MTF.. Nothing I've smoked yet. I hope there is stronger shit out there, but I've yet to find it.
